Chapter 20: Chapter 20- Eight Fold Split
The reason why he was in the rag tag clothes, wasn't by choice. When he reincarnated into this world in this body, he found himself in these clothes which were very much like an attire of a slave.
After that, the situation developed in a way that he didn't get any time to change out of these clothes and was forced to dive inside this jungle like that.
Now that he was given the choice of wearing some good clothes, of course he would change into that. Thus after Yang Chen changed out of his previous clothes, he didn't give that weird first impression any more.
His average face coupled with that hunter like garb made him blend with his surrounding perfectly. He didn't stand out anymore.
"Hehh, no remorse I see, you truly are twisted... kukuku" Amon remarked from the side looking at his behaviour.
Usually, when people committed murder, they would show some basic emotions like remorse, guilt, shame or abhorrence. However, all of these emotions was absent in Yang Chen.
His twisted personality was something that the person himself did not notice.
After taking what he needed, Yang Chen disappeared from the place.
Two days passed by while Yang Chen was frantically hunting demonic beasts and proceeding towards the depth of the forest. He must have entered the middle regions of the jungle by now, the demonic beast that he met here were quite strong.
He had also coincidentally encountered a few hunter parties while on his way here, during these past two days. However, right now he was blending in perfectly and they did not try anything on him like those five hunters. Thus Yang Chen also did not bother to create any trouble for them.
Of course, he did not forget to search for the leader of that hunter band who ran away. However, after finding no clue or tracks for an entire day, he gave up.
When he levelled up, yang Chen felt his body growing stronger. His muscles and bones became tougher and the amount of battle energy inside his body also increased.
Nobody would be able to say that he was malnourished once when seeing his current appearance.
"Eight Star battle apprentice huh... not bad" Yang Chen clenched his hands and felt his rising powers. It took him around four days and great efforts to level up from a Seven Star Battle apprentice to an Eight Star.
However, the rise in his strength proved that it was all worth it. Now if he were to meet the leader of that hunter band, he was confident that he would be able to defeat the other within a few exchanges.
Yes, that was even while counting the other party's use of that battle skill they showed when fighting the Ivory Hog.
His confidence stemmed from the fact that he too had a battle skill that he can rely on in his arsenal. Yes, Yang Chen had also finally learned an attack type battle skill.
After watching the battle between the leader of the hunter band and the ivory Hog, Yang Chen realised how useful the battle skills were. That Ivory Hog was clearly more powerful than the entire hunter group combined yet the leader was able to defeat it after activating that battle skill.
This fact alone was enough to establish the importance of Battle Skill in his heart. Thus Yang Chen purchased a Mid Tier Earth Grade Battle Skill called the Eight Fold Split for 1500 mischief points from the [Store] and learned it.
The attack that he used earlier, was the battle skill eight fold split. However, since he had only just learnt it two days ago, it was still in its Beginner completion stage and thus unable to display its full power.
And frankly, the move that she showed earlier where only a single slash came out, could only be called as single fold split. He needed to practice it 200 times to bring it to the Intermediate completion stage.
This condition was quite harsh, given the fact that it took quite a lot of battle energy to execute the skill. Even an Eight Star Battle Apprentice like him was unable to use the battle skill more than three times before getting exhausted.
It needs to be mentioned that battle energy takes time to regenerate. Hence Yang Chen was limited to a couple of times he could practice the battle skill.
