Chapter 278 - 278 Queen Irithel

Name:The Herb King Author:
278 Queen Irithel

“Let’s talk about this later. Take me to see the Queen first.” Aenwyn muttered calmly, but she was feeling happy deep inside. Her only task was to convince the Queen to join the Lassiter Household, but she actually managed to persuade three more Level 5 Espers to join them! If everything goes well, the Lassiter Household and the Barden Territory will be further strengthened!

“Yes, Your Highness!” The three Elders nodded their heads and led everyone to the cold prison. They used the back door of the castle so Ramiel and the other human soldiers didn’t notice them.

The cold prison is located in a secret spot in the forest. There were numerous Level 4 runes inscribed in the area, preventing others from locating the cold prison. There were also Level 4 Espers guarding the passage, making it even more secure.

The group traversed the passageway, bypassing the runes using a special route. Along the way, the Level 4 Espers guarding the area bowed to them respectfully.

Soon, they arrived in front of the prison cell covered in frost energy. The coldness coming from the prison cell made everyone feel uncomfortable. This was even after they had covered their bodies with world essence. The frost energy in this prison was produced by a Level 5 Glacial Rune. This rune wards off magical beasts and also seals the power of the prisoners locked up inside the cell.

“Open the cell.” Elder Dawon muttered to the guard responsible for guarding the Queen’s cell.

“Yes, Elder Dawon!” The guard quickly took out the keys and he also deactivated the Glacial Rune.

Ka-cha!

“Follow me.” Elder Dawon said as he led everyone inside the cold prison. Only Queen Irithel was locked up inside this place and she was currently tied in metal chains.

.....

“Mother!” Aenwyn’s eyes flashed with anger upon seeing her mother’s pitiful figure.

Queen Irithel’s limbs were tied in metal chains and her Hegel was sealed, making her unable to put up a defense from the frost energy.

When she heard Aenwyn’s voice, her blank eyes regained clarity. She slowly lifted her head and saw Aenwyn running towards her with a worried look. “A-Aenwyn?”

“Mother, it’s me! I’ve come to get you!” Aenwyn said as she hugged her mother’s thin body. It felt cold and she immediately sent streams of world essence into her mother’s body to make her feel warm.

“A-Aenwyn... It’s re-really you...” Queen Irithel’s face broke into a smile after confirming that it was her daughter Aenwyn. She wanted to hold her daughter, but she had no strength to lift her arms. She could only stare at Aenwyn with deep love and joy.

“Don’t talk. Eat this first.” Aenwyn helped her mother eat a healing pill.

Queen Irithel didn’t reject her. She somehow managed to swallow the pill and she soon felt a huge amount of energy coursing through her body. The warm sensation made her feel relaxed and calm. The seal in her Hegel was also destroyed by Aenwyn.

After more than ten minutes of resting, the Queen’s face became rosier. She circulated her world essence which speed up her recovery.

While her mother was recuperating, Aenwyn turned her gaze to Elder Dawon. “Take some men and gather the Queen’s subordinates. I want them in front of me in less than an hour!” She muttered coldly.

Elder Dawon immediately nodded his head when he saw her cold expression. He knew that the princess was seething with fury after seeing her mother’s state. He was also responsible for this matter so he wanted to redeem himself. “Yes, Your Highness!”

“Your Highness, we will also gather our subordinates!” Elder Gild and Elder Ark muttered solemnly.

Aenwyn nodded her head and said. “Alright. You guys can go!”

The three Elders quickly left. At this moment, only Aenwyn, Lucia, Weis, and the Queen remained inside the cold prison.

“Weis, Lucia, gather your people. We’ll leave this place after Her Majesty has recuperated.” Aenwyn muttered to the two elves beside her.

“Yes, Your Highness!” The two left after receiving the command.

As soon as they left, the Queen opened her eyes and stood up. Her long white hair still looked pristine despite the harsh experience she had. She stared at her daughter with a smile and said. “It looks like you’ve received external help. You even managed to convince those three old farts to join you.” She chuckled lightly as she muttered those words.

Aenwyn smiled in response to this. “They aren’t foolish enough to reject me. The person I’m working for isn’t ordinary, Mother.”

“You seem so confident about this person.” Queen Irithel was happy to see her daughter again and she was also grateful to the person who helped her.

“You’ll know soon. I’ll take you to his place.” Aenwyn chatted with her mother until the others were back.

Elder Dawon and the rest brought their subordinates with them.

“Greetings, Your Majesty!” Everyone was shocked when they saw that the Queen had already recovered. They wondered what kind of healing panacea she received from Aenwyn for her to recover in less than an hour.

Queen Irithel glanced at them frostily and remained silent.

Aenwyn eyed the crowd with a calm look. There were ten thousand soldiers in front of her and they were the elite fighters of the Aracan Kingdom. “Are these the people who are willing to follow me?” She asked.

Elder Dawon and the others nodded their heads. “Yes, Your Highness! We managed to convince a large majority of the soldiers. Only a few rejected our summons.”

“Good! We will regroup with the human force I brought here and leave the Aracan Kingdom! Bring the families of these soldiers!” Aenwyn shouted a series of commands.

“Yes, Your Highness!” Everyone responded in unison.

Queen Irithel stared at her daughter with a gratified look.

“Your Highness, do you want us to attack Callon’s force?” One high-ranking elven soldier asked.

Everyone’s expression hardened upon hearing this.

Aenwyn furrowed her eyebrows and shook her head. “I’ve already promised my brother that we will leave this place after the Queen is released. Without Callon, the people under him would be in chaos. I don’t want unnecessary bloodshed amongst our people.”

Everyone was relieved to hear this. They also didn’t want to fight their comrades. Luckily, Aenwyn was a merciful leader.
