No one expected the battle against the savage beasts to end in such an abrupt manner. Everyone was already expecting a gruesome battle. Some of them had even sent their last words to their families. Who would have thought that a single person would change the course of the war?
At this moment, Charles, Kenneth, and the other experts of the allied army were sitting nervously. Their gazes occasionally darted towards the person at the main seat.
"Now that we have dealt with the savage beasts, we should immediately support the others in fighting the rebel forces." Someone voiced out their suggestion.
Some experts nodded in agreement, while most of them remained silent. They tacitly agreed to leave the final decision to Aethelwolf.
"What do you think, Sir Aethelwolf?" Kenneth asked.
Aethelwolf shook his head. "You guys should let your soldiers rest. They just had a tough battle and more than half of them are severely injured. Like you guys, those people have families waiting for them too."
His words made the hot-blooded experts feel ashamed of themselves. They hadn't thought that far.
"But what about the rebel force? I don't think our allied army can hold up against them. Those people had secretly amassed a large number of troops so they are significantly stronger than us."
Aethelwolf glanced at the man and responded. "What do you think will happen once news about our victory reaches their ears?" His gaze scanned the faces of everyone inside the meeting room.
Hearing this, Charles' eyes lit up. "If the rebel force hears about our victory, they will feel nervous. They will think that we will send an army to support our allies."
Kenneth finally understood his point and he was stunned when he realized it. "If that happens, they will send a portion of their troops to defend their rear and this will greatly impact their strength!"
The experts raised their eyebrows in surprise.
Aethelwolf smiled and nodded his head. "That's right. Once their main force is weakened, our allies will have more room to maneuver. Furthermore, the reinforcements sent by Northern Trance are already on their way. We will attack them here." He pointed to a certain location on the map.
Some people agreed with his words. They were already close to reaching their goal so they couldn't let anything unexpected happen.
Patriarch Coleman frowned and entered into deep thought. He felt that something was amiss, but he also agreed with the patriarch of the Ravimbert Family.
After a few seconds of deliberation, he nodded his head. "Alright. I will send one Nascent Soul Esper and a small battalion to guard our rear. They should be able to hold off the reinforcements. Their soldiers just experienced an intense battle so most of them are injured. If they foolishly clashed with our troops, they are bound to be defeated." He said with so much confidence.
"Good! Without their reinforcements, how could those bastards beat us?" Someone sneered.

Meanwhile, the second reinforcements from Northern Trance have already arrived. They were tired after marching without rest, but no one complained. This was because they noticed the casualties on their allies. No one dared to complain after they saw the corpses and injured soldiers.
Aethelwolf stood before the army and shouted. "Are you guys tired?!"
"No, sir!" Everyone responded loudly.
Aethelwolf was satisfied to hear that. "At this moment, the main force of our allies are engaged in combat. They have been fighting for a couple of days now. They managed to hold off the enemies, but this standstill won't last for too long. We must support them as soon as possible! If we fail this war, the rebel forces might aim their swords towards Northern Trance.
We can't let that happen so we need to eliminate them to keep our families safe! Are you guys ready to march!?"
"Yes, sir!!"
"Good! Let's set off!" Aethelwolf jumped on top of his mount and led the march. Everyone was filled with fighting spirit and all traces of exhaustion vanished like smoke. With a peerless expert leading them, everyone was eager to fight.
William who was following behind Aethelwolf felt extremely proud. This was his lord!
