Chapter 789 Threatening their unborn babies Jia Li seemed to get herself a bit when they arrived at the hospital, but it was only for a brief moment.
Before they arrived at the hospital, the labor room has already been prepared, so immediately after their car pulled over in front of the hospital the nurses used a stretcher to carry Jia Li away, while the rest followed.
Jia Li's doctor examined her to check how the babies were doing, their position in the bomb, and Jia Li's cervix dilation.
When Jia Li was fully into labor, she was taken into the room and helped onto the bed, and it was then that Fu Hua stepped in, because he wanted to be with her.
This was their second child, but this pregnancy was different because they were having twins. In order to give her moral support, he went in there with her.
Jasmine again wanted to follow them, but FangSu was smart to distract her and quickly carried her away.
In the labor room...
"Push at the count of 3..." The doctor said to Jia Li with a calm demeanor, while looking between her face and her searched region.
Fu Hua was holding one of her arms, while another nurse was holding the other.
An oxygen mask was fixed on her nose, her eyes were teary and her cheeks were stained with tears.
At that count, Jia Li tried pushing with all her might, and while doing that, she was applying pressure on the hands of the people holding her.
Worry filled Fu Hua's heart as he watched his parking wife struggle to push out their babies. In his heart, there was never going to be a next time.
"Doctor, why is there no movement after 2 hours?" Fu Hua asked an hour later.
He was almost drenched in sweat, and Jia Li was lying on the bed was no different. Another nurse had to keep tapping away the sweat and tears on her face every 5 minutes.
Fu Hua was very worried because he was afraid of his wife and children being in danger. The total time they have spent in that room is three hours and thirty (3 hrs, 30 mins) minutes, so he was bound to be worried.
The doctor shook her head and checked the monitor before saying, "The babies are fighting, hence the reason for the delay."
Fu Hua was shocked when he heard what the doctor said. Like, what did she mean by that? What does she mean by that the babies were fighting, was that even possible?
"Doctor, what do you mean by that?" Fu Hua asked wig a confused gaze mixed with worry.
The doctor sighed, "The twins are fighting for who to come out first. If they keep fighting like this for the next 30 minutes, we would have to carry out a CS. Your wife is getting weak."
Fu Hua has never heard of this before, and he looked more shocked than before. As for Jia Li who was laying on the bed and was taking deep breaths on a small break, she didn't look surprised, probably because she already had an idea of something like this.
"Is there a need to fight when they are both going to be born on the same day? it's not like they are fighting for territory! Are they seeing the struggle their mother is going through to bring them into this world?!" Fu Hua looked very annoyed as he said that to the doctor.
If there wasn't a situation like this, the doctors and the nurses would have laughed at him, including Jia Li. His words were very funny.
The doctor smiled a little and said, "It's not like they know what they are doing. The gate is open and they can see the light at the end of the toad, and it so happens that they are making a beeline for it at the same time. None of them is trying to give the other a chance."
Fu Hua felt like he was hearing a story being told to him. How could babies in the womb be fighting for who will come out first? That was hilarious!
"Doctor, how much longer can I wait? I think I might pass out again soon. 30 minutes is too much. Please 15 minutes is fine by me, if they don't want to come out the normal way, let's go for a C-section." Jia Li said weakly.
She was so tired that she didn't have anything to say to her children to make one of them give up for the other to come out first.
Where she was, she was trying really hard to contain her anger. Imagine the effort and struggles she was going through to deliver them, and they were busy fighting for who would come out first.
If Jia Li had her way, she would have caned them and chased them out.
The doctor heard her and glanced at Fu Hua, while the assisting doctor checked her and the babies vitals.
"Their vitals are okay. Blood pressure and heart rate are normal."
"Okay, let's try to push one more time," The doctor said to Jia Li.
Fu Hua had to stop them as he had something to say to the children that were unknowingly being stubborn in the womb.
Everyone thought he was going to use a soft voice and placate them while whispering sweet words to them, but he surprised them by threatening them.
"An Na, Kai, if you can hear me, just know that you are about to be taken out the hard way. If you don't stop giving your mother a hard time, I will spank you after you come out! You better be a good daughter and son and do the needful!"
Jia Li was left speechless and could help to snatch her hand from the nurse's grip and hit Fu Hua with it.
Jia Li forgot that she was also thinking of spanking the kids with a cane if she had her way, and had to hit Fu Hua because she found his threats ridiculous.
The doctors and nurses smiled when they saw their little interaction.
Fu Hua didn't complain after being hit and instead felt that he had gone overboard.
Somehow, Fu Hua's words worked. the babies stopped fighting and paused for over 2 minutes without movement as if they were giving each other a chance to swim out first.
There was no movement from any of thr babies for over 2 minutes but finally at the end, one of them made a run for it.
And soon, Jia Li was screaming and trying her best to push out the first baby.
Ten minutes later, the cry of the baby was heard and tears of joy threatened to drop at the corner of Fu Hua's eyes.
"Your baby boy is here!" The doctor said with a big smile on her face as we quickly cut off the umbilical corn and tired the remaining before handing the baby over to one of the nurses, so she could clean her, and then went back to help Jia Li deliver her second baby.
