I realized that August was already around the corner.
It seems like a long time, but my first summer vacation in high school is passing by in a flash.
But still, this summer vacation has become a really meaningful time for me.
I don’t need to tell you why.
It’s because I’ve been able to spend this entire summer vacation with Shi-chan.
And above all, it’s because Shi-chan and I have decided to go out this summer.
Since we started dating, we’ve been going out a lot this summer vacation.
We went to the park we remembered, ate ice cream at a nearby candy store, went shopping at Ken-chan’s store to report on our successful relationship, saw a movie, went bowling with Takayuki and Shimizu-san and enjoyed every other activity we could think of.
In all of these activities, Shi-chan’s face was always smiling, and I couldn’t help but be happy that she was smiling when I was with her.
And today, I have promised to meet Shi-chan again.
But while the time we’ve spent together so far is important, today is even more special than usual.
It’s a promise that’s very important to us.

Yes, today is the day of the fireworks display that we had promised to go to together before we started dating.
I change into the kimonos that Takayuki and I went to buy the other day and leave the house.
Incidentally, Takayuki and I decided to go our separate ways today, as we wanted to spend some time alone with our girlfriends.
Normally, I would have been worried about people’s eyes when I walked outside in my kimono, but since it was a fireworks festival and there were a few other men and women in yukata passing by, I was surprisingly unconcerned.
Half an hour before the appointed time, I went to the designated meeting place in front of the station and waited for Shi-chan with a little anxiety.
At Lime, Shi-chan told me that she would be wearing a yukata today, but she didn’t tell me what kind of yukata she was going to wear.
But I could tell.
No matter what kind of yukata it was, I knew that Shi-chan in a yukata would be absolutely stunning.
It’s not about the specifics anymore.
In other words. dangerous things are dangerous.
I decided to wait for Shi-chan to come while listening to some music to distract myself.
About 10 minutes later, I get a tap on my shoulder.
I was a bit distracted, so I was surprised to turn around and see Shi-chan at the designated meeting place.
“Sorry, did you wait for me?”
Shi-chan smiles at me as she bends forward, folding her hands behind her back.
Today, she was wearing a cute yukata with a flower pattern on a red background, and she looked even cuter than I expected.
She also wore her hair in a single bun instead of the usual medium bob, which gave me a sense of maturity and sexiness.
“I-I was not waiting!”
“Takkun?”
Shi-chan tilted her head curiously at me, confused by my unusual appearance.
“I’m a little nervous because …… you’re a too cute, or rather, your atmosphere is different from usual.”
“Ehehe, is that so? But Takkun looks good in your kimono, too.”
When I answered honestly, Shi-chan also smiled and complimented me, looking a little embarrassed.
I was happy and embarrassed, so I said, “Well, let’s go then!” I awkwardly pulled Shi-chan’s hand and started walking.
Shi-chan laughed at me in an amused way as she pulled my hand next to her.
The fireworks display in this town is held along the river where Takayuki confessed his feelings to Shimizu-san the other day, but I’m not going there today.
There are a lot of people there, and more importantly, Shi-chan couldn’t wear sunglasses at night, so we had to avoid places where we would stand out too much.
To be honest, I wanted to walk around the stalls with Shi-chan, but there were some stalls along the street in front of the station, so we decided to buy takoyaki and yakisoba there.
“I’ve never shopped at a stall like this before. I’m envy them”
It wasn’t as crowded as the local market, but Shi-chan was still happy to see all the stalls lined up.
“Maybe one day we can go there together.”
“Yes! I want to go!”
Shi-chan smiled happily, and I smiled back.
Then we walked for a while and came to a shrine in the hills behind a residential area.
This place is actually famous for its spectacular view, and although it was not as crowded as the local area, there were already a few people here and there, and people were already taking their seats.
But we went further in than that.
There was a little bit of open space at the end of the path through the trees, with few trees or buildings in the way, making it a good vantage point for viewing the fireworks.
Fortunately, no one seemed to have come this far, so we laid down the blue sheet we had brought with us and sat down.
“I’ve missed this. Today we have special seats.”
Shi-chan smiled gently as she gazed up at the setting sky, nostalgic for the same scenery as back then.
I followed her lead and looked up at the sky with her.
Then I remembered that we were the same way back then.
