When I arrived at the gymnasium, I found a theatrical performance being put on by the third-year students.

It seemed to be a comedy play, and every time one of the goofy seniors made a joke like a comedian, the crowd laughed.

Naturally, there was some awkwardness due to the amateurs, but more than that, the atmosphere of the festival probably lowered the hurdle for laughter – I wonder if I’d be offended if I said that.

Shi-chan and I quietly sat down on the empty pipe chairs at the far end and decided to watch the comedy play together.

When we checked the time schedule we received at the entrance, we found that the play we were watching was the second to last one.

This was followed by a performance by the light music club, and then a secret guest.

Of course, the secret guests were definitely the Angel Girls, but word had already spread that they had just shown up at the festival, and everyone seemed to have a pretty good idea of who it was.

The evidence of this was that people were gathering in the gym one after another, not just us.

I guess everyone wanted to get here as early as possible to get a good seat for the Angel Girls.

“Oh, Takuya and the others are already here?

It was Takayuki and Shimizu-san who called out to us as we sat in the back.

It seems that Takayuki and Shimizu have been going around the festival in good company.

They were holding a bag of yakisoba noodles that they must have bought at the stall, and I could smell the delicious aroma of the sauce coming from them.

We joined them, and the four of us sat together in the back to enjoy the play.

The four of us were able to relax more because of the sense of security we felt, and we were able to laugh and have fun just like the rest of the audience while watching the good but silly play of the seniors.

After the play was over, the light music club performed.

They even brought in a full-fledged drum on stage, which made me realize that a live performance was about to take place.

Speaking of live music, I remembered that I had been to a DDG concert.

Thanks to the DDG concert ticket that Takayuki had obtained by chance, I was able to enjoy my first real live concert.

The Angel Girls were there as surprise guests, and Shi-chan, who was sitting next to me at the time, was also there.

Thinking back again, I couldn’t help but laugh at how funny it was to see the Angel Girls on stage with Shi-chan, the former Angel Girls.

Shi-chan looked at me with a strange expression on her face, but she also tilted her head and looked at me with a bit of amusement.

If anything, it was the same as the situation now, because I was going to watch the Angel Girls’ performance with Shi-chan again.

At that time, Shi-chan had been invited to the stage by Akarin, and she had even made a one-night-only comeback.

Then Shi-chan looked at me and smiled, as if she was happy to see me.

I was a little embarrassed in front of her angelic smile, but I smiled back and thought, “Well, whatever.”

If Shi-chan was enjoying herself like this, I was personally happy about it.

Besides, I’m sure the festival will be more exciting when Shi-chan is on stage, and to be honest, I’d really like to see her singing as the Angel Girls again.

Well, that’s all for now, and it’s only a cultural festival, I thought, and decided to enjoy the light music club’s performance that was about to start, excited to see what the rest of the stage would be like.

Next to me, Takayuki and Shimizu-san were eating yakisoba noodles that they had brought with them to take advantage of the time before the performance, and I smiled as I recalled the turbulent days of the past few months, thinking that not only Shi-chan and I had been through a lot, but that all of them were now good memories.

I honestly don’t know what the future holds, but I hope that our current relationship will continue for a long time to come—

“You guys! We’re going to have a lot of fun today!”

When the senior vocalist shouted this, the excitement in the gymnasium rose to a climax.

When the band started to play, the heavy bass sound echoed through my body just like the DDG’s live performance that day, and I could feel the power of the live performance.

We got up from our chairs like everyone else around us and enjoyed the concert together.

The band was playing a famous rock song that we all knew and enjoyed.

To be honest, I’m sure there were a few people who were there for the Angel Girls who would be appearing later, but even so, I was happy to see everyone enjoying themselves in front of the live music, as if we were creating a festival together.

The maid cafe we had, the haunted house that broke all the rules, the seniors who gave us takoyaki, and the people who performed on the stage like this, all came together to make one festival.

A school festival is probably an event that is held equally in every school.

However, I was happy that we were able to create a festival that everyone could enjoy together, thanks to the hard work we had put into the preparations.

With the sound of the instruments playing, more and more people gathered in the gym.

By the time the performance was over, the audience was packed to the brim and cheered wildly.

“That was amazing!”

Shi-chan, who was standing next to me, smiled happily and jumped up and down with her mouth open and her hands clasped together.

The cute gesture and the happy expression on her face were all very endearing, and I smiled as I replied, “Right”

I could tell that today’s festival – or rather, the festival up until today – had been a good memory for Shi-chan, and that made me happy.

And so the light music club’s performance was over.

Normally, this would have been the end of all the performances for today’s festival.

But today, there was a secret guest waiting for us.

The crowd in the gymnasium started to buzz.
