Chapter 30: 30 - Perfect Disguise

"Weasel, get me a cappuccino." Derrick, wearing glasses, sat at the bar in Sister Margaret's and called out to Weasel, who was busy cleaning glasses.

Weasel looked up and noticed the change in Derrick's appearance. He couldn't help but wonder, "Are you somehow myopic and kept it a secret?"

"No."

Derrick pushed his glasses and explained solemnly, "This is just my perfect disguise."

Weasel was speechless, "Do you think you are Superman? Is wearing glasses a disguise?"

"You don't believe my skill?" Derrick was not happy, his perfect disguise was questioned after all.

"Nonsense, if this can be called a disguise, wouldn't a woman be required to get a plastic surgery every time they want to use makeup?" Weasel's voice was a little uncontrollable and suddenly found the long-haired woman standing on the right side of the bar staring at him, he then said embarrassingly, "O-Oh, Vanessa, this is just a metaphor. I have no ill will towards women who wear makeup."

'Vanessa?' Derrick turned his head and glanced at the long-haired woman standing nearby. It turned out that she was the girlfriend Wade had been walking about all along.

But it seemed like Vanessa didn't know that Wade was still alive and Wade also hid himself, scared of meeting her with his new face.

Derrick turned his attention back to Weasel and spoke with confidence, "If you still don't believe me, how about we make a bet? I bet that my disguise is foolproof. And as proof of my confidence, I offer this cappuccino as my wager."

"Yes alright, but how do you complete this bet?" Weasel became interested.

Derrick looked around and then saw a bearded man passing by.

"Hey, Buck." nove(l)bi(n.)com

The bearded man heard someone calling his name, and looked at Derrick suspiciously.

"Who are you, do we know each other?"

"It's me," Derrick said as he took off his glasses.

"It turned out to be you, rice guy. I almost didn't recognize you! How've you been?"

"..." Weasel was speechless, standing behind the bar.

"I heard that the leader of the Ross gang was going crazy, searching the city for the whereabouts of the punisher, but there seems to be no movement from the other side..."

It was obvious enough what Weasel meant and what he had concluded.

Derrick's face contorted with disbelief. "Kingpin was my employer!?" he exclaimed, his mind racing with the implications of this revelation.

"This is just my guess. But, If this is indeed the case, I advise you to try not to show your face. Kingpin is not a very kind person. He is much crueller and stronger than you can imagine."

Although Weasel knows that Derrick was special and has the same healing Ability as Wade, the thing was, his combat experience wasnon-existent. He could only deal with some small-time gangsters.

Derrick pushed his glasses again and said solemnly, "Just trust my disguise."

Weasel was once again speechless.

Weasel looked at Derrick with an expression that conveyed his frustration with having to answer the same question repeatedly. 'To be honest, judging by the fact that there is no information about Derrick in the bounty, it's safe to say that his disguise really is exceptionally well done.'

Weasel then leaned back and returned to his normal tone, "However, your commission is considered to be completed, a total of 100,000 USD. Do you want to convert it into cash?"

"No, I'll exchange it all."

Derrick drank the rest of the coffee in one gulp and then took out a list from his pocket, "I want to buy the above items, deduct the cost from my money."

Weasel glanced at the list and quickly saw the key points, which made him very surprised.

"Do you know how to modify guns?"

"I understand them a little."
