He swiftly retreated to the cover of the trees, his eyes fixed on the primitive gate the guards had been guarding. The gate, made from rough-hewn wood and other rudimentary materials, was narrow and limiting. The wooden fence surrounding the village only added to its primitive construction.
Leon's heart pounded as he saw multiple armed goblins emerging from the gate. They moved with urgency, their guttural commands filling the air. The size of the gate prevented the entire goblin force from emerging at once. Leon's eyes gleamed with excitement. This was his chance! If he waited for the entire goblin horde to assemble, he would be quickly overwhelmed.
He wasn't yet strong enough to take down an entire army of goblins by himself.
'This is it! A chance!'
With a thrill coursing through his veins, Leon moved. His katana appeared in his hands, its blade glinting ominously in the light. A grin of anticipation spread across his face as he prepared for the battle ahead.
The first wave of goblins, surprised to see non immediate threat, hesitated. Leon took advantage of their confusion. From a spot they overlooked, he emerged, his silver hair fluttering in the breeze as he moved with great speed. The goblins gulped involuntarily, fear seeping into their hearts at the sight of the crazed grin on Leon's face.
His emergence was just so sudden that not only were they surprised, but also had a strange chill sent down their spine.
Without wasting a moment, Leon launched himself at the first group. These goblins were of the lowest rank, mere wild beasts rank. They posed no significant threat to him. He moved through them like a whirlwind, his katana slicing through flesh and bone with ease. The goblins barely had time to react before they were cut down. Green blood sprayed in the air, and dissembled goblin corpses slumping dead to the ground, the scene was extremely brutal!
As more goblins emerged, Leon noticed a few wielding clubs. "This one wields a club, huh?" he muttered.
'This will be easy' he grinned, excitement coursing through his veins as he eyed the weapon. He danced around the club-wielding goblins, dodging their heavy swings and countering with swift, lethal strikes. His movements were fluid, each motion precise and deadly.
Their heavy attacks were wild and non-cordinated, Leon's every slash was with finesse, utilizing miniscule things like this that can be easily overlooked to his advantage.
This was the advantage he has, everything he knew, they were being put into great use.
The flow of goblins continued, and soon Leon faced a mix of dagger-wielders and club-wielders. He dealt with them efficiently, his katana a blur of silver as he cut them down. The narrow gate worked to his advantage, preventing the goblins from overwhelming him with their numbers, with this advantage he easily took control of the battle.
Suddenly, a spear-wielding goblin emerged. "This goblin wields a spear, huh? Hmmph, this will be tough," Leon said, his brows furrowing in concentration.
The range of the spear posed a challenge, but Leon was undeterred. The scenario was very fitting for them, so he was extremely careful, the last thing he wants was an injury from a spear.
Anyways, He avoided slashing in curves and instead aimed for the shaft of the spear, gliding the blade of his katana along it until he cut through the goblin's hands.
The goblin screamed weirdly, a huge amount of pain assaulting it from the fatal injury, this is what it got for hesitating to drop it's weapon when it saw the blade coming, now it's hands, to be more precise, it's fingers that's gripping the shaft of the spear had been cut off.
Leon's gaze was cold, he cared not about the goblin's cries of pain, they were more goblins emerging from the gate, he can't afford to waste any time.
So therefore, With the goblin disarmed, Leon swiftly finished it off, slicing off the head of the goblin without hesitation, the sliced off head was sent spinning, the goblin still had a look of horror on it's face as the spinning head landed with a thud a few meters away, it died.
Leon cursed, noticing he haven't gained any skill from the goblins he had killed so far, it was as if his luck had an instant switch from good to extremely bad.
The battle raged on, with goblins emerging in a chaotic mix of dagger-wielders, club-wielders, and spear-wielders. Leon moved through them with deadly efficiency, his eyes constantly scanning for new threats. He noticed a goblin emerging with a small shield. "A shield-wielding goblin? They'll be easy to counter. Their weapons are too flawed.
While they can protect their upper bodies, their legs are open for attacks," he grinned deviously.
Leon's strategy was simple yet effective. He swept at the shield-wielding goblins' legs, disrupting their balance and creating an opening to deliver a fatal strike. Despite their shields, they fell quickly to his relentless assault.
The sight was quite comical, but Leon's strategy was still effective nevertheless, in the end of it all, goblins will still be goblins, they're not humans, their intelligence can't compare to that of humans so they found it hard to counter his attacks.
Soon, the tide of battle shifted as more goblins emerged, including archers. "An archer?! Those are troublesome. I have to eliminate him now before he poses a problem to me," Leon said, his eyes narrowing.
He dodged the attacks of the other goblins and moved swiftly towards the archer. With a precise strike, he cut down the archer before it could fire a single arrow. This pattern repeated as more archers appeared, each time Leon prioritizing their elimination to prevent them from gaining a tactical advantage.
Despite his relentless pace, Leon remained vigilant, aware that any mistake could be fatal. His movements were a blend of speed and precision, each strike calculated to maximize his efficiency.
The ground around him became littered with goblin corpses, such sight send chills down the spinescof each and every goblin emerging from the gate, it made their movement hard, but Leon utilized the corpse littered on the ground effectively, as time pass bye, he had gotten used to them, unlike the goblins whom had all came to battle expecting to fight on flat ground as that was common sense - right?
right?!
Meanwhile, The goblin leading and commanding the army, had recieved word of the problem Leon posed, having heard the commotion and seen the mounting pile of bodies, barked orders in the harsh goblin language.
The goblins responded with frantic energy, their numbers beginning to dwindle. The commander's frustration was palpable as it ordered the goblins to break down the wooden fence to allow more of them to emerge at once.
Leon, having slaughtered more than half of the goblin horde, noticed the change in their tactics. The fence began to give way under the weight of the desperate goblins. He knew he had to act fast before he was overwhelmed.
Summoning all his strength, Leon launched a final, ferocious assault. His katana danced through the air, cutting down goblins with every stroke. His body moved with a grace and power that belied the intense battle he had been fighting.
As the fence finally gave way, Leon found himself facing the remaining goblin force. The commander, a hulking figure clad in makeshift armor, stepped forward. Its eyes burned with rage and determination.
Leon's grin widened. "So, you're the boss, huh? Let's see what you've got," he taunted, raising his katana.
The commander roared, ordering the remaining goblin army to attack. They surged forward with renewed ferocity, attempting to overwhelm Leon with their sheer numbers. Leon met them head-on, his katana flashing as he cut down goblin after goblin. Each strike was precise and lethal, reducing their numbers with ruthless efficiency.

Despite the goblins' desperate assault, Leon held his ground, his movements fluid and deadly. He danced through the battlefield, dodging attacks and countering with lethal precision. The goblins fell before him like wheat before a scythe.
Finally, Leon and the goblin commander stood alone amidst a sea of corpses. The commander's eyes burned with fury as it charged at Leon, swinging its short sword with brutal force. Leon met the attack head-on, deflecting the blow with his katana. The impact reverberated through his arms, but he held firm, pushing back with all his might.
'This is the power of a mutant beast?' Leon brows furrowed, sweat trickling down his forehead, mutants beast are indeed strong their strength surpassing that of wild beast and feral beast by far.
Leon confirmed this first hand, as for why he was thinking of this, it was because, he wasn't able to face it headon he didn't deflect the attack because he wanted to, but because he was forced to, mutant beasts are just that powerful.
But this wasn't it, there was another reason
