Chapter 507 – Haughty Eric

"You better be careful as well, a young cub might be unable to bit an experienced Lion to death, but once it grows up the old Lion will be no biggie to him!"

It was a clear naked threat that made the whole crowd look at Eric, or to be more exact at Eric's new face with surprise, startle, and shock.

They had never expected that someone who was only in the 2nd Realm of evolution would talk to someone who had surpassed the 4th Realm like that.

It looked like Eric was out of his mind but considering the talent and strength he showed just a few moments ago, it was understandable.

That kid considered himself a genius, someone that wouldn't easily bow his head down to any guy crossing his path.

Not to mention that he claimed to be someone from the Viper organization, which had become quite famous recently, due to the differences between them and Eric.

In fact, it was only now that Eric felt extremely lucky that there wasn't anyone more powerful inside the branch he had destroyed from the organization.

At the same time, he understood just how little importance he must have in their eyes, as they hadn't even bothered to properly retaliate against him.

Well since they were so powerful, they surely wouldn't care if he just created a few more problems for them, would they?

It was precisely for that reason, that Eric was using that haughty attitude. He wanted to present himself as a haughty Young Master with a strong background, and not afraid to use it.

He could do as far as to threaten an expert that was two levels above his own, without caring about the consequences.

But it was precisely this type of attitude that made the experts around him not doubt his background and situation.

After all, what kind of lonely loser would dare to not only claim that he belonged to a powerful organization, but also act like that in front of a Master of Realm 4 like Tegen.

The man himself was extremely displeased and angry with the situation, as he hadn't expected such a reaction.

He thought that with his strength and reputation he was already showing tolerance and greatness by not following this matter further.

To think that this brat would not only not appreciate his effort but would actually throw gunpowder to the fire.

At the same time, his attitude convinced him even more that this guy was truly part of that infamous organization, so he could only look at this situation with complicated thoughts.

It was clear that if he decided to act against this kid and used all the power in his hands at the moment, including his underlings, he had an 80-85% confidence of killing Eric.

The problem was what happened after that. If Eric was truly a member of the Viper organization, and such a talented Young Master at that, they would surely not let this pass.

Even though he was strong and had quite the standing in his current organization he didn't have the confidence that his organization would choose him over their survival.

So, most probably he would be left to face the wrath of the Viper organization by himself, which was clearly not something he could take.

Thinking up to here, he could only lower his head and allow this to slide, despite the fierce face slap this would be.

"Hmph~! The little cub has to grow up before he thinks of fighting the Lion King!"

Saying that he didn't linger any longer there as he started to follow the golden eyeball bead once again.

Monk Tao and the rest of the spectators just watched the show with complicated expressions, but soon they did the same by following behind him.

Eric and the two beauties didn't linger there for much time either, they immediately followed the crowd, as Eric embraced their waists with an arrogant and cocky attitude.

If the two beauties were in their real faces, and bodies he would have immediately turned into the crowd's enemy.

But they weren't! In fact, their current faces, and bodies made most of the people close to them feel like they were about to vomit.

Just what kind of weird fetishes did this little bastard have to actually act and treat those two ugly women like that.

One could say that many men's real face was revealed when their partner lost their beauty, while the women's real face was revealed when the guy lost his power and money.

Right now, the two beautiful angels Takeshiba Aika, and Ice could finally prove the accuracy and truthiness of those expressions.

When their real faces were revealed men would act like starving wolfs and look at them as if they were about to devour them whole, but now they were being looked at with disgust, and anger.

It felt like being ugly was a crime, and a really heavy one at that, as they could only be ranked behind Eric for being the crowd's enemy and anger feeder.

Eric didn't care about the thoughts, looks, or expressions of the people around him. He knew the real beauty of these two, and also he knew about the insides of their hearts.

No matter how beautiful a snake is, no one dares to place them in their chests as it would most probably bite at the first chance it gets.

Similarly, a beautiful woman without a good heart should be never accepted into one's life, as its poison will be not only deadly but also detrimental.

Soon, the group reached the golden eye bead, only to see it revolving around the same place that they had been when they started which made quite a few people displeased.

'What the hell is going on, weren't we here when we started!?'

'Is this some kind of hoax!?'

'Is that old monk trying to deceive us? But it doesn't look like that!'

'I don't know about that, but I am sure that he has something to do with this!'

Differently from the crowd that only dared to talk in whispers, Tegen didn't fear the old Monk Tao, as he asked in a serious and solemn tone,

"What's going here, Monk Tao? Are you trying t play with us? Has he already bought your loyalty?"

"What crap are you talking Tegen, the only thing that can buy my loyalty is that 500 million dollars bounty on his head.

According to the golden bead, he has been here more than once. Furthermore, knowing his methods I wouldn't be surprised if he came here in order to confuse us!

It certainly wouldn't be the first time that he has appeared and left without anyone noticing!"

No matter how much Tegen wanted to catch Monk Tao in blame, in order to take off that 5% of his, he couldn't refute Monk Tao's words either.

Eric's escape was extremely weird and unprecedented. The fact that he had escaped under the nose of Takeshiba Family Ancestor, Two Snakes, the Elder from Council of Five, and Young Master Red was great proof of that ability.

That placed him in quite the damned situation, he didn't know what to do or how to react, as he asked Monk Tao in a weird and solemn tone,

"What do you suggest we do now Monk Tao?"

"I think that the best choice right now is to separate into two groups, one stays here and sees if he will appear again in this place, while the second group follows behind the Golden Bed."

After thinking for a while Monk Tao gave this solution which immediately caused quite deep and different reactions from the group.

Some were surprised and agreed with the solution proposed, while most were angry and disapproved of it.

These guys were mostly those that were too weak to go against Eric personally and were thinking to use the group to take benefits from muddled waters.

With two Masters of Realm 4 in their ranks they should have been fairly safe, but now with the two Masters, and the rest of the group in danger of getting separated they didn't like the idea in the least.

Unfortunately, no one cared about their opinion, as in the eyes of Monk Tao or Master Tegen they were nothing more than free cannon fodder.

This would halve their cannon fodder, but at the same time, this was an opportunity to get the full bounty and reward for themselves.

While there were dangers in this plan as well, the benefits clearly surpassed that danger as they cared more about the money than the lives of the cannon fodder.

Both Realm 4 Masters had come behind Eric's traces even though they fully knew and understood the dangers. They had selected their underlings knowing that some of them would perish in this mission.

On the other hand, the hidden star of the show was just looking at everything that happened indifferently, as people started to choose their sides.

Eric had already understood that the golden eye-ball was following his tracks from the beginning, so he had decided to take care of the group that would follow him and then disappears.

As for the rest of the group, Monk Tao was obligated to follow his artifact, so he would do so, while Master Tegen, his people, and a large number of the free experts would wait there.

In case one group faced Eric and the two beauties, then the other group would immediately rush there and help out.

These were the general decisions and conditions. As for Eric, even though he would have loved to stay back here, he had to actually follow the leaving group so he could escape easier after all this…
