Originally, Xu Xinduo and Tong Yan were really angry with each other as they were in a state of tension just now.

As a result, this sentence made Xu Xinduo feel slightly uneasy. She immediately noticed that there was something amiss with how Tong Yan was reacting and she replied, “I don’t think so. I don’t really know how they got me in anyways. I was at the gathering for a relatively short time after all, so I don’t think many people got to see me. Do you know him?”

Tong Yan lowered his eyes for a while and replied vaguely, “It’s nothing. At any rate… Have less contact with him.”

Any other superfluous comments were not made. She didn’t know if it was because he didn’t want to or if it was because of Lou Xu’s presence.

Lou Xu seemed to ‘smell’ the gossip, but in the eyes of others, Tong Yan was not someone that could be easily approached. Lou Xu didn’t dare to chat with Tong Yan a lot, so she could only secretly extinguish the small flame of the unfolding gossip in her heart.

Xu Xinduo was lost in thought.

She and Tong Yan had exchanged bodies for many years. She also knew Tong Yan’s relatives as she knew everything Tong Yan knew about. But for so many years, she didn’t know that Tong Yan knew Lu Jinyou.

Her eyes hovered over the tattoo on Tong Yan’s neck for a moment and she couldn’t help but think a little more. Then, she saw him stand up and walk towards the kitchen, as if he was going to help Grandma Xu.

Lou Xu was a little girl who was very good at making the elderly happy. She had a sweet way with words and praised the delicious food throughout the entirety of the meal, making Grandma Xu very happy.

Tong Yan and Xu Xinduo ate quietly throughout the whole process as the habit of prioritising the meal itself was a habit for the two of them.

After dinner, Xu Xinduo played the piano for Lou Xu. Lou Xu was like a small fan of hers as she wished to be able to take a video of Xu Xinduo the whole time. She would also applaud and cheer when she finished a piece of music.

Xu Xinduo thought on a whim and said to Lou Xu, “I’ll write you a piece of music. I will compose it, find someone to write the lyrics, and then you can sing it.”

Lou Xu immediately came to her senses and said, “Okay! With that, I have a solo song of my own . In the future, I can be an online singer and attract a mass of big brothers(1).”

(T/N: Referring to a group of men that would just be good-looking people that she could admire)

“I realise that your attention is directed to a group of big brothers.”

“That’s because you are confused by Tong Yan and couldn’t find the beauty of the brothers.”

Xu Xinduo did not refute Lou Xu’s words as she actually took out her notebook and pen, planning to start trying to compose by herself these days during the New Year holidays.

Many people could play the piano and had the ability to interpret it well, but having originality was another area entirely.

When Xu Xinduo used to play around, she had some fragmentary inspirations here and there. However, she never thought of expanding them into a piece of music as they were made purely for self-entertainment.

After thinking of this, she immediately felt that it seemed interesting to the point where she was really excited to try.

Lou Xu pointed to the piano and asked, “Will you not disturb the neighbours around you if you play the piano at home?”

“To be honest, this building was bought by a couple and they only come here occasionally. So there is no one upstairs and downstairs.”
