The two men fought with each other, and Xie Jianwei smiled throughout while watching them.
It’s a pity that although in reality Lorren could win once in five matches, in this dream world, he only got directly crushed and beaten down, “Damn, he’s too strong to be a human!”
Little Skeleton wrote implicitly: <I am a skeleton.>
Loren: “……” He’s really not a fucking human!
Xie Jianwei just smiled and touched his little skeleton, “You did great.”
And a bunch of pink hearts fluttered around Little Skeleton.
Lorren: “…” I’m going blind!

Xie Jianwei successfully promoted his rank to six-stars, therefore he could go to the Three Realms Conference as a representative.
Only six to seven people from the Middle Realm participated, and they all acted alone.
Before leaving, Lorren said, “You’re not going to take the Little Skeleton with you, are you?”
“Of course I’ll bring him.”
“Can he go in?”
“That’s not a problem.”
Lorren was skeptical about this, but Xie Jianwei on the other hand, felt relieved.
The entrance door to the conference was based on the power of a six-winged angel, third class great demon, and six-stars grim reaper, so that they’ll be the only ones who could gain access to it. Based on this, Little Skeleton, who could casually crush two great demons, could easily pass through it.
The Three Realms Conference would be held at the intersection of the Heavenly and Demon Realms.
The reason for this was also simple: for safety.
The Demon and Heavenly realm had been fighting constantly therefore, they couldn’t trust each other. Despite this, they still wanted to learn some information from the other, so such a conference was held, where they pretend to communicate, but in fact, they’re trying to probe each other. A temporary peace treaty had indeed been signed, but as a safety precaution, it was still held at the border, so that if one side decided to make trouble, the other party could immediately send forces.
As for the grim reapers in the Middle Realm, the reason they wanted to come was because their libraries basically amount to nothing; and the reason why other realms invited them to participate every time was because both the Heavenly and Demon Realms wanted to make use of them. Although the two weren’t really able to take advantage of the Middle Realm, the latter would still willingly perform some personal favors if asked, making the parties involved, satisfied. After all, the powerful grim reapers usually hold themselves aloof from the rest. Moreover, angels and demons were very curious about the unknown Black Domain.

Xie Jianwei, Loren, as well as the Little Skeleton, were all dressed in typical grim reaper attire: wrapped in a deep black cloak, a huge scythe floating in the air …… Except for the strands of hair, no other information about their features could be revealed.
But in fact, as long as the scythe was laid out, one could immediately recognize who that grim reaper was— particularly Xie Jianwei’s scythe, which once pierced through an archangel’s “weapon”—the angels simply couldn’t be more familiar with it.
Xie Jianwei also had no choice. All grim reapers must show their scythe, otherwise they wouldn’t be allowed to enter.
The good thing was that when his scythe came out, it immediately attracted everyone’s attention and no one even noticed Little Skeleton.
However, it still provoked a lot of gossip.
“Xie Jianwei really dared to come.”
“What’s he supposed to be afraid of if he really doesn’t dare to come? No one can hurt him either.”
“He’s also strange. Aren’t all grim reapers heartless and desireless? Why was he so stubborn?”
“Well, aren’t all demons believed to be obscene? Yet, there was still that famous loyal lover amongst them?”
“Yes , there’s also an archangel with a chaotic private life amongst our faithful angels.”
They talked and laughed, and Xie Jianwei just listened carefully.
Rather, it was Lorren who looked rather annoyed, “Go, go, go continue walking! Don’t listen to their nonsense.”
Xie Jianwei glanced at him and said nothing.
Lorren took Xie Jianwei to meet another six-star grim reaper whom they were acquainted with, and the three of them chatted for a bit.
Just then, someone came over with a glass of wine. Lorren turned around first, and he only looked at the newcomer for a second before his body became full alert.
The voice of the one who just came was low and pleasant, “Don’t be nervous, I won’t make things difficult for you in this venue.”
Hearing this familiar voice, Xie Jianwei couldn’t help but turn his head to look.
Unsurprisingly, it was the great demon that tried to kidnap Xie Jianwei before. His pair of scarlet eyes fell on Xie Jianwei, and the smile hanging at the corner of his mouth was full of meaning, “ I really offended you last time.”
But now he’s being polite and courteous, Xie Jianwei stared at this great demon who looked exactly like Lu Li.
Yan Ke whispered, [Is he the Lord Marshal ?]
“Yes.” Xie Jianwei answered.
He could feel that it was indeed him, but he also felt that something wasn’t right. It had nothing to do with his appearance— it was just a gut feeling.
Yan Ke cautiously said, [Anyway, there’s something uncomfortable about him. Be careful, my lord.]
[Yeah,]Xie Jianwei replied, [I have some ideas.]
The demon Lu Li did not say anything more than a greeting and then turned to leave.
Lorren sneered, “Pretentious prick.”
Xie Jianwei looked at him.
Lorren said, “Lifael is still this virtuous even after becoming a demon.”
Lifael? Xie Jianwei realized that this was the name of the great demon just now.
But soon Lorren said sarcastically, “Oh, he’s not called Lifael anymore, he’s called Lu Li.”
Hearing these two words, Little Skeleton didn’t look up, but the brim of his hat obviously trembled.
Without waiting for Xie Jianwei to speak, Lorren said to Little Skeleton, “That guy likes to gross out Ah-Wei.”
Xie Jianwei explained, “Demons can name themselves whatever they want. He knows you… well… knows the name Lu Li.”
Little Skeleton understood, but he didn’t write anything since he thought there were many people here, and his writing board was too eye-catching.
Lorren sighed and said, “Such an annoying thing.”
Xie Jianwei would like to know more about the “annoying thing” he was talking about, but Lorren, who was especially concerned about Xie Jianwei and was afraid of making him uncomfortable, would always abruptly change the subject everytime it goes back to that specific topic.
Xie Jianwei had no choice but to go along with it.
God knows he wasn’t uncomfortable at all, but rather, very curious.

The main participants of the conference were actually angels and demons—they routinely fight, mutually damage, and ridicule each other for a while. Only until they finish shooting their mouth off, would they disperse.
Xie Jianwei wasn’t interested in all of these—he just looked at the demon Lu Li a few more times.
And every time he moved his eyes over, Lu Li would also turn his head to look at him. After staring for a few seconds, he would smile lightly and move his gaze away quietly.
For some reason, when Lu Li smiled like this, Xie Jianwei would feel a slight stab in the heart.
Was it because his smile was laced with unwillingness and helplessness?
[My Lord, please take care of Lord Skeleton.] Yan Ke reminded him.
Xie Jianwei then completely withdrew his sight and did not bother to look at the demon Lu Li again.

On the second day of the conference, the library of the Heavenly Realm was opened. Xie Jianwei and Lorren acted separately—they each perused all the materials related to the resurrection, but still found nothing.
The spells of the Heavenly Realm were quite powerful, especially the healing spells of the Holy Light, but these spells are so limited that most of them are only suitable to angels and cannot even be used by humans, let alone other races.
Even this healing spell is very aggressive for demons.
Given that Mr. Skeleton didn’t exactly belong to the Light side, these spells would only be harmful to him.
After turning pages for an entire day, they made zero progress.
Lorren frowned, “It seems that we still have to visit the library of the Demon Realm.”
“I will look through it again. Go take a rest when you’re tired.” offered Xie Jianwei.
Lorren wasn’t good at reading these things, and he could barely follow him through the day. It’s been a while since he’s been seeing nothing but stars, “Okay, I’m taking a break.”
Xie Jianwei deliberately dismissed Lorren. He knew it was difficult to find what he wanted in this library, but he could look at the history of the Heavenly Realm and the deeds of the archangel.
As a result, just as he opened the book, a great demon next to him whispered, “What else is there about me that you do not know?”
Xie Jianwei had to close the book.
Demon Lu Li’s eyes fell on the old cover and self-deprecatingly, “What are you doing looking at this.”
Xie Jianwei stared at him for a moment, and slowly said, “Lifael, we have already settled our grievances.”
His tentative remark made Lu Li’s eyes bright red, and his voice became cold, “No— you have.”
After speaking, he turned around and left.
Xie Jianwei looked down at the book in his hand, and after a few flips, he already memorized all that he read.
Lifael, the archangel of light, once led the angels to conquer the seven cities of the Demon Realm, and once prevented the demons from setting foot into the Human Realm.
He is the leader of the heavens, the glory of the angels, and created the most glorious history under the realms.
But in the year 9856 of the Light calendar, Lifael was assassinated. After his heavenly soul got damaged, he resigned unwillingly and fell into the Demon Realm with resentment, becoming the great demon, Lu Li.
Xie Jianwei understood the meaning of Lu Li’s words “Not as painful as that time you stabbed me in the heart.” during the kidnapping incident last time.
It seems like our situation is really quite complicated, Xie Jianwei thought.

On the third day, Xie Jianwei had the privilege of entering the library of the Demon Realm.
Compared to the library in the Heavenly Realm, the Demon Realm’s was much smaller, but the books’ practicality was excellent. The former was grandiose and elegant, and there were too many things eulogizing virtues in the books, therefore the texts were lengthy and cumbersome. The customs and habits of the human world were probably influenced by the heavens. The latter, on the other hand, as simple and atmospheric. It was easy to find things at a glance.
Lorren couldn’t help but sigh, “If I had a chance, I would rather fall into the Demon Realm than become a birdman.”
Xie Jianwei smiled and said, “Which is not as comfortable as being a grim reaper.”
“That’s true.” Lorren was flipping through the ancient books, when suddenly, his eyes lit up, calling out to his companion, “Come and see this!”
Xie Jianwei leaned over to take a look and quickly took the book.
Loren said, “Sure enough, we’ll get something here. It turns out that there was a race of Undead in the Demon Realm before.”
<Skeletons also belong to a type of undead, but they’re all gone now.>
Xie Jianwei read over the lines and wrote them all down silently in his head, and upon seeing the seventh and eighth line, he was taken aback.
Loren also saw it, and his brow furrowed as he said, ““…blood voluntarily offered by a great demon”?”
Xie Jianwei sighed, “And that demon must be strong enough.”
“That’s quite difficult ……” Lorren said, “Given how powerful Little Skeleton is, I’m afraid that only a few beings in all the realms can compare to him.”
Xie Jianwei pointed to the next line, “It doesn’t have to be equal, it can be around seventy percent.”
Lorren was silent for a long time, but he finally said, “At present, I think the only one who can reach that standard is Lifael… I mean Lu Li.”
So, if I want Little Skeleton to have a body, I have to get the demon Lu Li offer his blood on his own accord? Xie Jianwei frowned when he thought about the guy’s prejudice against him.
This is not going to be easy…
And… it’s not clear who is adding more drama to who1.
