The air tingled with uncertainty even as the atmosphere grew more electric.

The bizarre humanoid machine and robot inspired fear in some of the human leaders.

In this world, it was unlike anything they had ever seen before. It was jarring to see machines take the human form as if they were living and alive. It was frightening to know that man needed to occupy these so-called MECHAS in order to wield them.

However, not all of them were unfamiliar with the concept.

"This..." A stunned whisper escaped Rui.

He recognized what he saw.

His memories from another world contained many fictional works featuring humanoid robots, commonly known as mechs, piloted by human beings. Despite his familiarity with the fictional concept, he was just as shocked, if not even more shocked than the leaders of human civilization.

The Esoterist smirked as he silently basked in the shock and turmoil that brooded amongst his audience.

"You might think that my words were an exaggeration," he remarked. "But, I'm afraid that they weren't. These weapons will go on to become the most powerful weapons in all of human civilization due to being able to harness all dimensions of human potential and esoteric technological potential."

A wave of surprise swept through the Human Summit as they grew engrossed by his fascinating exposition.

"The engine-core of the MECHA essentially treats the pilot of the MECHA as a source of fuel, as an engine. It absorbs all their physical power through a complex set of principles based on collision mechanics and kinematics that allows the MECHA to be powered by the physical power of the pilot amplified by esoteric technology cores that also generate a proportional amount of power to the MECHA pilot or MECHA Martial Artist," he explained with an academic tone. "In other words, the MECHA, in some sense, is as strong as the MECHA pilot is. And it is precisely this principle that allows the MECHA to truly harness human potential." Many grew fascinated by this strange weapon that the Esoterist had introduced to them all. A weapon that treated the physical body of the pilot as the engine!

Nobody had even conceived of such an idea to allow machines to harness the physical potential of the human body.

"This is how I sought to fix the biggest weakness of esoteric technology," he explained. "Esoteric energy sources cannot be the primary driving power source of a MECHA if MECHAS are to harness the full physical potential of Martial Artists. With the engine-core, a MECHA is just like a sword; it is only as weak as the MECHA pilot."

He zoomed in on the engine-core in the illustration, allowing the leaders of the human civilization to get a good look at exactly how this mechanism functioned.

To their surprise, the engine-core of the MECHA suspended the pilot in a sphere of an esoteric liquid.

"This esoteric liquid belongs to a class of esoteric substances known as non-fluidic elastic liquids," the Esoterist went on. "They have two broad properties, the first is that they are extremely efficient in their conduction of pressure and sound, able to propagate the latter to extraordinary distances with very little energy loss. And the second is that they are extremely viscous; they offer extreme resistance to all motion. These properties make them absolutely perfect for absorbing the energy of the movements of the pilot and propagating them without any energy loss."

He highlighted the barrier of the engine-core. "The barrier is also made up of an esoteric substance that absorbs pressure and sound delivered by the esoteric liquid and can redirect that power to any part of the MECHA using a complex hydraulic system to cleanly transmit power across the MECHA. And thus..."

He smiled confidently. "The MECHA is able to smoothly absorb the power of the MECHA pilot and use it to power its movements."

He made what seemed like an impossible task sound extremely simple. Indeed, it took the genius of the Esoterist to apply esoteric technology with a radically different underlying philosophy and create MECHAS that could harness human potential as well as swords could!
