When the four of them were about to arrive at the roller coaster, Lin Shu'an asked Yu Na, "Na Na, do you dare to ride the roller coaster?"

Yu Na didn't think twice and directly replied, "Of course I dare! No big deal."

So, the two ladies turned around together and were met with the faces of their two boyfriends instantly turning pale.

Yu Na hesitated for a few seconds, then said, "Or maybe let Xiao Chen wait down here, he's even scared of horror movies, he definitely can't handle this ride."

Han Chengxun quickly added, "I'll keep him company down here, with his low IQ, it'd be troublesome if he got lost."

After the two of them happily ran off to ride the rollercoaster, the two handsome men, in perfect unison, discreetly removed the hair accessories meant for young girls that they were wearing on their heads.

Xiao Chen squinted his eyes and saw through Han Chengxun, "If you're scared just say so, don't use me as an excuse. You owe me one now."

Han Chengxun smiled calmly and naturally changed the topic, "Don't tell me you're actually scared of horror movies."

Xiao Chen awkwardly pretended to be brave, "Who's scared...I was just pretending, this is the fun of being in a passionate new relationship, a married man like you wouldn't understand."

Han Chengxun didn't try to irritate him further. Letting out a sigh of relief he said, "That's good then. Did you know a new horror film was just released called ‘The Red Dress in the Black Mountains’? An An has been wanting to watch it, let's go, the four of us, this afternoon."

This was the movie Xiao Chen and Yu Na had started watching last time at the theater but Xiao Chen got too scared so they left halfway through.

Sure enough, after playing all morning and having lunch, Han Chengxun suggested, "Let's go watch a movie this afternoon?"

After trying out all sorts of thrilling rides, Yu Na was feeling pumped and didn't want to go home yet, "Sure, what should we watch?"

Lin Shu'an said, "We'll see when we get there this afternoon."

Han Chengxun meaningfully glanced at Xiao Chen before purposefully asking Lin Shu'an, "Didn't you want to watch ‘The Red Dress in the Black Mountains’?"

"Uh..." Lin Shu'an hesitated slightly, "But isn't Xiao Chen scared of..."

"Who's scared?" Xiao Chen abruptly interrupted her, "Let's watch that one!"

Yu Na whispered, "Are you sure? Don't force yourself."

"I'm sure, let's watch that one."

They had only gotten halfway through watching this movie last time before Xiao Chen got too frightened and went straight home.

She had actually quite wanted to see how it ended.

When buying tickets that afternoon, while choosing seats, Yu Na was about to pick the last row on the far right side.

Lin Shu'an asked, "Are you sure you want to sit in the last row?"

Yu Na replied, "Yup."

Han Chengxun glanced meaningfully at Xiao Chen again, whose face was filled with satisfaction and doting that looked about to spill from his eyes.

Feeling goosebumps rising, Han Chengxun fearlessly called them out, "Tsk tsk, don't tell me it's because you're worried a certain someone will get scared and embarrass himself?"

Xiao Chen waved a fist at him, "Keep talking and you're dead."

Yu Na and Lin Shu'an were standing in front of them and upon hearing Han Chengxun's words, turned around, "No, that's not it—"

She knew Han Chengxun was just teasing them, after all his level of cheekiness was on par with Xiao Chen's.

Xiao Chen's hand was icy cold. Yu Na held his hand to warm it up for him.

Right before that sound effect that had frightened Xiao Chen last time, Yu Na suddenly poked his arm, "Xiao Chen."

"Hmm?"

Xiao Chen turned his head. Yu Na covered his ears, "Don't be scared, okay?"

As soon as she finished speaking, she proactively stretched up to kiss him.

Just a light peck, since they were in public after all, with cameras everywhere.

Xiao Chen's ears had just been tightly covered by her, so when that shrill sound effect rang out, it didn't startle him this time.

Instead, what he felt was the softness of her lips against his. Just a gentle touch, but it plucked at his heartstrings.

The moment she covered his ears, it was as if Xiao Chen could hear the rapid beating of his own heart.

By the time they returned home, it was almost midnight. Scenes from the movie still flashed continuously in Xiao Chen's mind.

As soon as he opened the door, Xiao Chen impatiently pressed Yu Na against the wall. Not waiting for her to speak, he lowered his head to kiss her.

Yu Na let out a soft "oh!" before tiptoeing to embrace him.

Xiao Chen put his arm around her waist to pull her closer.

Without even turning on the lights, their heated breaths, heavy breathing, ambiguous kissing sounds all intermingled in the pitch black surroundings, continuously entering their ears.

Xiao Chen cradled her face in both hands, pressing his forehead to hers. He softly called her name, "Yu Na..."

"Hmm?" Her eyes seemed especially bright in the dim environment. Like two gems, brimming with love for him.

"I think I—" He kissed her again. As their ten fingers interlaced, he squeezed out a sentence amidst the tender kiss, "I'm starting to like horror movies now."

Yu Na was kissed until her legs went soft, barely able to stand as she weakly leaned against him, breathing heavily.

As the clock struck midnight, Xiao Chen turned on the lights. His voice was gentle and lingering, "Happy New Year."

Yu Na hugged him tightly, nuzzling against his neck twice, "This was the happiest year of my life."

After showering, she snuggled into his embrace.

The two shared another passionate kiss. Xiao Chen was incredibly tempted but still strongly held back. Finally, he abruptly released her and soothingly coaxed her, "Go to sleep, good night."
