Chapter 69 Caught In The Act?

Some Lobbies away, Rosette was about to have her face eaten by a Lava Hound while Faeryn and Misty battled to survive against others.

"A little help here!?" Rosette asked, holding the beast back with her sword.

Faeryn saw what was happening, and she spun, throwing her quick spear which struck the Lava Hound's exposed flank. It howled before disintegrating into ash, leaving Rosette dusting herself up as she rose to her feet.

She lifted her head and glared at her rescuer. "What are you waiting for? A thank you? I had it under control, you know," she muttered.

"Of course you did," Faeryn replied dryly. "I suppose that is why you asked for help.

She turned around, and saw that Misty had successfully taken down the last beast. The notification came that the Lobby had been cleared and it was time to progress to the Third Lobby.

Faeryn ignored Rosette's glare and started moving toward the next corridor. "Let's keep going."n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

As they progressed through the Lobbies, Rosette grew more agitated, her complaints more frequent and grating. "How many of these damn rooms are there? This is taking forever!"

"Dungeons don't operate on your schedule," Faeryn said curtly, her patience wearing thin. "I warned you that this is most likely a wild goose chase. Dungeons are designed to be personalized for each party. Running into other parties is extremely rare. And even if there is a possibility that we could find your brother, you'll find him faster if you focus on staying alive."

Misty, as always, tried to mediate. "Rosie, I think we really should just trust her. It's Faeryn. I mean she has done this a lot more than the both of us combined." Discover more content at empire

Even though she knew her sister was right, Rosette ignored her, her eyes scanning every shadow and crevice. When they entered the third Quest Lobby, which was one filled with a dense fog, her voice rose in frustration. "Aeric! If you're in here, show yourself already!"

Faeryn paused, turning to face Rosette. "Calling his name won't make this easier. If he's here, we'll find him. But shouting will only draw unwanted attention. We don't even know what kind of beasts are here."

Rosette opened her mouth to argue but closed it when Misty touched her arm. "Let's just keep going," Misty whispered.

With a huff, Rosette fell silent, her focus shifting back to the task at hand. But as they looked around the Quest Lobby, Faeryn's curiosity grew. What was so important about Aeric that his sister was so desperate to find him?

Couldn't she just wait until he was done challenging the Dungeon? It couldn't be because she cared for him, she had joined forces with Aryanne and the Twilight Twins to attack Aeric, her own brother, inside the Veiled Maze.

So what was the deal here?

"Then we keep going," Rosette said, already heading toward the next corridor. "They must be close."

Faeryn's patience was wearing thin. "Rosette, you're chasing shadows. There's no proof they're ahead."

"But we still have to go ahead, don't we?" Rosette countered without looking back. "No point in arguing. The reason why doesn't matter. We still go ahead."

That was painfully true.

They arrived at the sixth Lobby next. And this one was chaos incarnate.

The Lobby was cavernous and extremely vast, stretching in all directions. There were glowing stalactites and some fog, but there was a problem.

The trio froze as they noticed this problem.

This place was mayhem. The ground was shattered into jagged shards, deep fissures splitted the earth, large boulders and chunks of debris lay scattered across the terrain, and parts of the ceiling had collapsed, with smaller rocks still tumbling down intermittently.

The air was covered with dust, making it hard to breathe or see clearly, and there was barely any straight land to step on.

"What... happened here?" Misty whispered.

Faeryn crouched, her fingers brushing against a scorch mark on the ground. "This Lobby has a difficulty of 70%. I will guess the beast is a MegaSquid by the tentacle marks on the wall," she explained with a grim tone. "The Dungeon Squad that faced the beast was successful but they took a lot of damage it seemed."

Rosette's eyes darted across the destruction until they landed on three figures in the distance. She narrowed her eyes.

These figures — undeniably a team of skilled Players — were working tirelessly to remove rocks from a massive obstruction. Their movements were coordinated but they seemed exhausted, even from afar.

Misty followed her sister's eyes and saw them as well. "Whose team could they be?"

Rosette's eyes remained narrowed as that was exactly what she was about to find out.

Meanwhile, behind that obstruction that the team of three were trying to remove, Aeric was plunging deep strokes into the cunt of his new slut. Alzera enjoyed his cock, moaning with pleasure, but they were both oblivious to what was about to happen...
