CH 18

It’s late June, and the heavy rain that announces the end of spring is hitting the window.

I spent all day today sitting on the sofa in my private room, sewing ribbons.

It’s a perfect was to kill time in order to make enough for all the knights belonging to His Highness Gresis.

“How about taking a break for a while?”

Mai, the maid, brewed tea for me, so I stopped.

It’s already past seven o’clock at night.

Is he busy today?

He is coming home later than usual.

“If he doesn’t come back in half an hour, I’ll have my meal first.”

“Sure. I’ll tell the head chef.”

Immediately after Mai, the maid, left the room, I heard a voice before the door was closed.

“Your Highness, welcome home.”

Apparently, she has run into His Highness Gresis.

Around nine o’clock at night, when I was taken by His Highness Gresis, who had gotten me permission, to His Majesty King Leroy’s private room, I found Her Highness Queen Denise weakly sitting on a chair beside the bed with a sad expression on her face.

Her Highness Queen Denise slowly stood up from her chair.

“Mother, I have something important to tell you.”

Queen Denise was in tears of joy.

The three of us hugged each other for a while and shared our joy.
