((( ZHIO )))
"She is Ms. Raya Zel Cantheliz, Mr. James Zel Cantheliz's other living relative. This is for the investigative process of the alleged euthanasia of Mr. Zel Cantheliz against her
consent and against the legality of that act within the Philippine jurisprudence," the policeman butted in.
I was much surprised at the mention of Zel Cantheliz in her name than the latter. I narrowed my eyes at her a bit more as I wondered about the things I possibly don't know about yet. Who was this woman exactly and what kind of joke is this?
Wenziel was quiet and just as I expected him to say something, he burst in low-pitched laughter.
"Cut all the arbitrary crap, Raya. This nonsense sound too foolish to me."
I raised my brows in anticipation of what he has to say.
"The court will easily dismiss something like this," Wenziel continued.
"I have a copy of James Zel Cantheliz's health care plan and the 'best evidence' to acquit my client. You should have brought your lawyer too. I want to hear how he'd pathetically defend you."
Raya crossed her arms. I saw a hint of panic in her face and it made me smile.
"Raya," Wenziel sighed.
"I'm glad that you still care for James but please, enough of these games."
"I'll still make sure that you Zhio will pay for what you did!" she replied angrily as she finally sat down.
Wenziel took some papers out of his suitcase and continued to talk with the officer. I remained silent the whole time at my seat while I wondered how much he knew about this woman. He kept the discussion short and we both left, leaving Raya sourly disappointed.
When we reached his suite, a woman caught my eye. Wenziel looked at me defensively because he knew what I have to say about it.
"How many times do I have to tell you? No women!"
"Please go out for a moment Ms. Chin," Wenziel politely requested to his secretary. And when we're finally alone he resumed talking.
"Making both your companies an empire of men will have negative impression of sexism to our female clients globally. Whatever hate you possibly have for women, make sure it doesn't complicate the companies' reputation. Maybe it's time you consider a coed working environment."
