I don't care if he'll get angry.
I just wanted him to turn at me and see how miserable I felt like now that he's leaving without notice.
My shoes flew and, to my disappointment, hit the fat security guy instead. They turned their eyes to us.
"Hey Deo," I yelled in a whisper.
"Aren't you one of Zhio's men?"
"Not anymore," his gaze had a shadow of sadness but he hid it instantly with a smile.
"It's a long story."
What?
Did Deo get fired?
What are we gonna do now?
Two gigantic guards towered over us as Zhio went entirely out of sight.
"What time is his flight?"
"He'll take a private plane, Miss Claire. It'll leave as soon as he boards."
What?! Why did you tell me just now?
I took back the doll shoes I threw earlier and nodded at Deo. He nodded back in understanding.
"What's that mister?"
I pointed towards the dispersing crowd in the distance. Deo jabbed both guards in the stomach while they were distractedly looking at where I was pointing my fingers to.
I ran frantically through the departure gate and Deo followed after. Behind, a slew of aviation security were also running after us.
Zhio, I wouldn't do something like this if it wasn't for how stubborn you were.
Few more steps and Zhio was within sight once more. He was walking leisurely towards the steps that lead aboard the airplane. I forced my numbing short legs to run faster and tried to ignore the fact that an array of more security guards were beside him.
A few more steps and he'll be in…
Although I was never an athlete, I ran towards the runway with all remaining strength I have.
Unlike Zhio, his guards turned to the noise we're making. The rest of the security we'd ran from earlier has also caught up to us. I was left with no choice as they grabbed me by the arms. There was nothing else to do but to use the ultra-mega-high-frequency voice I have.
No one should dare to stop me, Zhio!
And I hope you'll turn no matter how brief…
"Zhiooooooon! C'mon, Zhio!!!"
(ZHIO)
"Do you think this is the solution to your problems?"
Eriez angrily yelled from the other car that was trying to outrace mine.
I ignore his face that jutted out from his car window and ordered my chauffeur to speed up. I knew too well how mad the doctor would be and his mouth did me no favor.
