(ZHIO)
I almost hit her for being too hard-headed. I've tried so hard to contain my anger but hearing her say those words…my horns grew again.
"Deo."
"Sir."
I walked by the poolside as I answered Deo's call. From where I stood, the terrace of my room was visible and the windows leading to it were open. Until the call ended, my eyes stayed at that place. I hoped a little that Claire would at least peek by the windows and breathe some fresh air.
I knew how it felt to stay alone at that place.
When I returned, Claire was indeed sitting near the window.
Her gaze was afar.
"Master Zhio, your clothes are ready," Sya stood by the closet door.
I turned to the cold food waiting on the table. She didn't eat her breakfast. It seemed like I'd be having a hard time with this woman.
I shook my head slightly.
"Get her new food."
Before going to the comfort room, I gazed at Claire.
Stay calm…
I took a quick shower to cool my head off and prepared the suitcase I needed for work. I need to keep my patience, at her and at the company.
"Master Zhio," a young maid was holding a new tray of hot food.
"Your breakfast."
I nodded at her and walked towards Claire.
"Claire, let's eat."
She was silent.
"Claire."
Still no response.
I pulled one chair and sat in front of her.
"Claire look at me."
She kept her eyes away.
"Claire!"
"I'm not hungry," she finally spoke.
"Don't ever give me that lie." I took her hands and pulled her up.
"I'll eat if I want to," her gaze was sharp.
"You'll eat if I tell you to."
"I said I don't want to!"
I released her hand and returned her sharp gazes.
"You don't want to eat? Then your family will starve as well."
