((( CLAIRE )))
"Crazy…You used a permanent marker."
"Isn't that great? You'll remain cute a little longer!!!"
I ran away from him.
He didn't chase me.
He's angry? I thought so…
"Hey, I'm sorry." I took the alcohol and some cotton pads. "
This'll remove the ink."
He just stared at me, emotionless.
Alright, I'm definitely dead.
"I'm really sorry. Please forgive me."
I nudged a finger at his arm and looked at him with puppy eyes.
My gasp was loud when he suddenly lifted me up.
"Zhio!"
"Shut up," he glared, "Clean this up."
I helped him wipe the marks off, with pity, until his face turned red from the liquid.
Bleeehhh…
"Laugh all you can," he rolled his eyes.
"Hey Zhio…I really need to go home,"
I willed myself to bring up that matter again.
"I told you already," he stood up and finally washed his face.
"But Zhio…" I pleaded.
"I'll just forget what happened between us if that's what you're worried about. Please let me go."
He dabbed a towel on his face before looking directly into my eyes, menacingly, and threw the cloth on the bathroom sink.
"Forget it?" he whiffed.
"You suddenly became lowly woman to my eyes. Could you please forget your dependent family for now?"
His words reverberated in my ears and my blood suddenly rose.
"Just because you grew up without your family…you don't understand how I feel,"
those were the first words that came into my mind.
But I realized…
Was it right to hurl those words at him?
I've just rubbed salt in his big open wound.
And needless to say, his expression was frightening.
Why did I tell him that?
He approached, I stepped back, until the wall was at my back and his arms against it.
His face was so close that I've even seen the intensity of his eyes.
"Why. Do you think yours treat you as a family?" his voice was so cold it made me shiver.
I wanted to shove him.
I wanted to defend myself and say yes but all the courage I have has shied away in his dangerous aura.
"I repeat," he warned, "You're not l e a v i n g this room. Do you understand?"
I was speechless until he backed away and left the room.
Just like I did after the fateful night that brought me in this situation, I cried miserably.
And as if he'd hear, I uttered his name…
"Zhio…"
I shouldn't give up until he himself kicks me out of the mansion. There are so many stupid ways I could do to force him to let me go and I won't tire out trying each, one by one until he yields to my simple wish.
Freedom.
