((( DEO )))

He dashed outside hurriedly and I was left in daze. I took my phone and arranged his flight. Before I could go, the secretary of the assembly asked me why Zhio has left.

There were still some things that has to be done here and I guessed I had to stay on his behalf.

He wouldn't let anybody stop him from going.

(ERIEZ)

I was completely unsettled at what happened. It has taken a miracle for a woman to come into Zhio's life so I wouldn't let even fate to take her back so soon.

She's just acquired some minor scratches from the shards of broken glass and has gotten unconscious from shock.

Thank goodness she's fine.

"Dr. Eriez, Master Zhio has arrived," somebody announced as I was busily examining Claire test results.

I expected everything to reach his ears fast so his sudden presence wasn't really a surprise. I left what I was doing and waited for him to come inside.

"He'll die fast if he's always worried like that," I remarked in the air.

"Dr. Eriez," one from my team announced in surprise.

"Claire is…"

I approached them.

"Positive…"

(ZHIO)

The hospital room looked crammed with all the nurses, some maids, and then there was Sya. But my eyes were immediately drawn to Claire who was lying asleep on the bed.

I held her hands and gazed at the little scratches she got from the accident.

"What exactly happened?" my voice was surprisingly calm as I asked Sya.

"Some wild animal suddenly crossed the street and your driver tried to avoid it. The brakes didn't work fine so the car hit a tree by the roadside," she explained.

After she spoke, Sya left us.

A female doctor went in and checked on the wounds on Claire's forehead.

"Did the accident affect her health in any way?" I asked helplessly.

"Not really. But-"

Claire suddenly moved and gradually opened her eyes.

"Claire…"

She stared at me as if she's still dreaming.

"Where's Mr. Driver…Dennise…" She looked worried.

I kissed her temple, "They're fine. Does it hurt anywhere?"

She tried to sit.

The doctor and the rest of the crowd that was there earlier left us.

I helped her sit.

"My head is aching terribly," she said.

"I was deeply worried when I heard what happened. Thankfully, you're okay."

She smiled at me.

"You seem as if you're the one who's had an accident. You look fatigued."

I laughed weakly.

"Let's eat," she invited me out of nowhere.
