After dinner, I peeked at the window in hope that he'd be back despite my expectation. But no cars pulled in the garage until midnight.

"Miss Claire, you have to sleep now."

"Is Zhio coming home?" She shrugged, "Nobody knows."

I weakly treaded to the bed and watched the maids close the windows and the doors to the terrace. Just as I reached the bedside, Kevin kicked.

It was painful.

Yes baby, Mommy's going to sleep now.

When sunrise came, I immediately looked beside me.

Pillows, no Zhio.

Where's Zhio?

He wasn't around our room so I went out to look for him.

"Did you see Zhio?"

I met Sya outside.

"He still hasn't come home but he called yesterday night to make sure you're asleep. Don't worry, he'll be back later," she looked briefly at the tray she was holding,

"I'm about to take your breakfast to your room. Where do you want to eat?"

"Could I just eat later? I want to eat with Zhio."

"I think it's better for you to eat now. When Master Zhio is tired, he skips meals and just rest instead. I think he'd come home tired today."

I didn't want to bother him so I just ate the food.

Few hours passed, he came back.

He looked like a bankrupt businessman when I saw him.

He was also quiet.

He just kissed my forehead and hugged me briefly.

Then I heard him say,

"I'll just be sleeping."

He plunged his body to the sofa and immediately fell asleep.

His forehead was scrunched even as he slept.

I took a towel and a basin of water. That's the only thing I could do for him.
