((( RHIO POV's )))
"The nominees for the Best Young Entrepreneur of the Year are…" I played with my phone.
I forgot to call Jasmin and it was late nighttime there. I'd be ruining her sleep if I'd call. The next day would be my last stay overseas so guessed it'd be best to leave everything at home in the hands of those who were watching over her. I hoped she's just fine.
"…and the title goes to…'
My accomplishments in the past five years flashed on the screen. Those were the projects I've successfully completed while father was in coma. During those years, nothing mattered more to me than work and the hope that my father would still wake up.
But now… Nothing mattered to me more than Jasmin's safety.
"…the President of Zel Cantheliz and Cryzastic Corporations. The one and only…Mr. Rhio Zel Cantheliz."
Elthon and the rest of the nearby people in the conference room stood up to shake hands with me.
I was headed to the stage… …when I received a call. It was Sya. And it meant Jasmin. I took the call.
"Master Rhio…Miss Jasmin was—"
I was suddenly worried. Seeing something urgent must've came up, Elthon approached me.
"I think you should come up on the stage in my behalf," I whispered at him. Deo followed me outside the hall.
"What happened?" I replied at Sya.
"We didn't know what to do with her so I called you," her voice was panicking a little, "she's been out of herself since yesterday. She's screaming and is ballistic. We didn---"
"What happened to her?!"
"Dr. Niel said it was trauma…"
"Trauma? With what?" She was wordless.
"Bullshit," the silence made me angrier, "I'll be home immediately.
" I ended the call and turned to Deo, "Ready the flight back to the country. I need to go home."
((( DEO POV's )))
Only a day more and the conference was on its end. But Rhio wanted to leave… So I readied the flight for him. I followed Rhio as he hurried to the car which was bound to the airport.
"That brat Rhio thinks he could walk out any time he wanted," Dr. Niel said the instant he answered my call. Even the attorney couldn't stop Rhio from going back so Atty. Elthon stayed instead in his behalf.
"It's because an emergency came up," I replied. "Something happened to Miss Jasmin."
The flight departed at eleven o'clock in the morning and took at least four hours to reach the country which, considering the time zones, was still in the brink of young daylight. It was just five o'clock in the morning there.
The chopper I requested took Rhio back to the mansion.
I didn't come with him anymore. What happened to Miss Jasmin needed some privacy which I guessed doesn't involve me.
He looked extremely worried that he even spent the whole flight awake…
