"You're awake." I was surprised to hear his voice. "Get up and we'll eat downstairs."
He just came from a bath and smelled like fresh lavenders.
"Go downstairs first," he added as he dried his hair with his towel, "I'll just catch up later."
"I'll wait for you here."
"You just want to peep at me while I'm naked."
What? Me?
"Fine! I'll leave you here."
"Alright, just wait for me," he chuckled.
"No way, I might just see your little snake!"
"Little huh?" he laughed as he pretended he would pull off the towel that was wrapped around his waist, "Don't you really want to see?"
"Never!" I stomped outside the room and went to the dining.
He immediately followed down in a crisp white shirt. He looked as fresh as the morning.
"Eat all of that," I made his own plate of breakfast.
"Do you want to kill me with this?" he frowned at the abundant serving of rice, eggs, and bacon.
"No," I pouted, "I'm saving you from malnutrition. You're getting thinner…just to remind you if you didn't notice."
"Is that so?" he smiled, "Sit beside me."
"Why?"
"Just sit beside me." So I sat at the chair that he pulled for me.
"And?"
"Let's share this breakfast."
"Rhio…"
"I missed you so were going to exchange spoonful of this."
I stood up, "You're so cheesy. Did you think you could convince me?"
"Just sit down."
"If I spoon-feed you I might end up killing you by stuffing your mouth until you choke."
Still, we just shared a plate but with our own separate spoons. He was so sweet he might get diabetes.
"Earlier you said I wasn't always around…I'm sorry if I couldn't give you all my time Jasmin. The company needs my whole attention right now." "Because you're such a snob. I'm just asking who was calling you but you ignored me." "Are you jealous?" I was about to answer but he got the chance to stuff his spoon of food inside my open mouth.
"I love you very much and nobody could ever replace you," he exaggerated his emphasis on the words as he fed me.
Oh shit. I'm getting a high dose of glucose.
"Jealousy is not in my vocabulary. And what's that for? Could I e--- ouch!"
I winced as baby Kevin kicked.
"What's wrong?" his face was suddenly worried. "Are you okay?"
"The baby kicked." He laughed, "Oh. Baby Kevin knew his Mommy is lying."
"Lying? On what part did I lie about huh?"
"You're overly jealous," he whispered the 'jealous' to annoy me, "you're even jealous with the company."
"I'm not."
"Just eat, okay? You might give birth untimely because of my teasing."
He was playful and annoying but I admit I missed those when he weren't around for almost a week. And… I felt better seeing him smile.
