((( JASMIN POV's )))

Was that the thing he's been so busy with in the past few days?

"Now tell me why you were crying," his voice remained gentle. My tears fell again…and harder when he called my name.

"Jasmin…"

((( RHIO POV's )))

I didn't know if the reason why she was crying was still because of that trauma. But it has been just half a month since her last emotional breakdown so her moods must've not been stabilized yet by the few sessions of counseling.

I just let her cry on my shoulders until she calmed down. I didn't ask her anymore.

"Take a rest," I told her.

She listened and slept without any complaints.

Whatever was bothering her, I hoped she'd tell me.

((( JASMIN POV's )))

My mind was still plagued by the same repeating thoughts…

Could Rhio really do something like that?

Could he really kill?

What if Kevin really wasn't his son…could he kill me?

I couldn't help but cry and convinced myself that... Rhio wasn't that bad Rhio was somewhat god-fearing. But the news said otherwise.

I immediately wiped my tears off when I felt he's awaken. His gaze burnt behind my back.

"Are you okay now?" I weakly nodded.

What if he's a killer?

"Why were you crying earlier?" I felt him rise up and sat beside me.

"The puppy…" I lied, "fell on the pool."

He smiled. "Oh, Mitchie? He could swim."

"I-I'm just worried."

"Yeah," he sounded sarcastic, "your cry was exaggerated."

"Because it made me sad." He tapped my shoulder, "Just worry about our little Kevin."

He gazed at his wrist watch and looked at me again. I couldn't even stare him in the eyes.

"I have to go again," he sighed, "Be sure to stay safe and tell the maids if you feel something wrong." I just nodded.

Was he leaving because he's clearing his name? Or… Was he leaving because he's clearing his mind of the bad things he's done?

I couldn't understand how afraid I was. I couldn't ask him directly. Because if that one innocent question leads to an argument, I don't know what he could do to me.

"Miss Jasmin, Master Rhio wants to see you before he leaves." I went downstairs.

Rhio was leaving again. And I knew the reason why. My knees buckled.

"Jasmin," Rhio pressed the back of his hand against my forehead and neck, "Are you sick?"

"No."

"Did you cry again?" Although voice sounded muffled from crying, I lied.

"Hay fever."

"You look pale. I think you have to drink some medicine."

"I'm just fine." He kissed me on the cheek and suddenly hugged me.

With that hug…I knew Rhio didn't do the killing. I've been embraced by those arms in my weakest moments so I knew he really was a good man. My tears fell again.

"You're such a crybaby," he smiled, "What's the problem?"

"Maybe I'm just too emotional…pregnancy stuff, you know. Don't worry about me," I gently pried myself from his embrace.

"No Jasmin. Tell me your problem."

"I said I don't have a problem!"

I turned back from him and went inside the mansion. He called out but I ignored him. I wanted to be alone and ponder about some things. I went straight to the room and plopped my face on the pillow. And there, my tears flowed freely.
