((( RHIO POV's )))
Both Jasmin and Kevin were fast asleep. I wished they'd be just fine inside the villa after I leave. Before I left to meet Deo, I secured the terrace doors and asked the maids to watch them vigilantly. Then I went downstairs.
"What time will get home?" I asked Deo.
"Quarter to Six, Sir."
"Let's go."
When we arrived at the venue, my expectations met the number of crowd who wanted to see me in person. I rarely visited Japan for the fact that most Japanese, including my business partners, considered me a rival. And they don't treat rivals as kind.
((( DEO POV's )))
There were some sketchy guys around the back of the crowd who were exchanging hand signals when we arrived. I left Rhio in a bunch of familiar faces and secretly followed the exiting three men whom I knew had big names in the business world.
One of the men took out his phone.
"Do it now."
When the call ended, I heard the familiar sound of guns c.o.c.king behind me. My body froze as I slowly raised my hand.
"Look who's here," the man grinned at me. I was lucky they didn't shoot but I felt a heavy blow at the back of my head. And before I fell unconscious, I heard the commotion inside.
There were shouts. And gunshots.
