Chapter 56 - The White Angel

Andrea woke up to sound of her phone ringing. She checked the time and it was still 5 o'clock in the morning.

Andrea: "Hello. Why are you calling so early?"

Li Wen: "Andy, I have been up all night for this so I want to get this over with. The man is dangerous. Many of his rivals, may it be in business or in politics have gone missing-"

"Who would call you at this hour?" Lu Fang was disappointed with being woken up so early when both of them slept at 2 in the morning. He used his large pair of hands to pull her back to the bed and tucked her in his embrace.

"It's my sister. I need to take this."

"Hmmmmm…," the man said and kissed her forehead before loosening his hold.

Andrea: "Sis, you were saying?"

Li Wen: Crickets***

Andrea: "Sis?"

Li Wen: "Who was that?"

Andrea turned shy realizing she had not told her sister about the recent development of her love-life that she started laughing.

Li Wen: "What is so funny? I asked who was that?"

Andrea looked up to Lu Fang who, apparently, was awake listening in to their conversation. She smiled at him and gave him a peck on the lips.

Andrea: "It's Adonis."

Li Wen: "Who?"

Andrea: "It's Adonis, you know the god of beauty!"

While loving being called Adonis, Lu Fang lifted his head and greeted Li Wen, "Hi there, sister-in-law."

The giggles coming from Andrea gave Li Wen a better picture of what their relationship was and so she needed to make it clear.

Li Wen: "Andy, who was that, seriously?"

Andrea: "Okay, don't overreact. It's Lu Fang, the new god of beauty."

There was a sudden long silence on the other line and the next thing she heard were sobs of her beloved sister. Li Wen became emotional crying uncontrollably on what she had discovered.

Andrea: "Li Wen! What's wrong?"

Li Wen: "Andy, I am so happy, you moved on – "

Her sister could not finish her words and continued to cry out of happiness. Li Wen had been trying to get Andrea to meet other deserving men for a long time now. She had always known her little sister deserved someone better.

Andrea: "Okay, sis. Stop it, you have managed to find a good one this time – "

Li Wen: "I don't know what you are talking about, Andy. I did not set you up with Lu Fang."

Li Wen lied, somewhat. Although she had known Lu Fang because of her husband's support for Gabriel's Den, it was only when they received Intel that his life was in danger did she carefully review his background. There had been assassination job requests for his name, that it alerted their organization. After getting to know Lu Fang on paper, she thought he was a good match for her sister. This was the reason she insisted on Andrea to take the job. Technically, she did not set her up, she just introduced the opportunity for them to meet!

Li Wen: "Anyway, back to Rou Yanlin. He has an asylum registered under his late mother's name in Naozhou Island… and guess what? I hacked into their surveillance and found one person who I know quite well, Zhang Jun. He was his rival in the governor position. Get this Andy, I recall clearly that Zhang Jun went missing after a fishing trip and the entire boat drowned. His family thinks he is dead!"

Andrea: "Hmmm… How sick! Who knows who else could be on that asylum? Sis, you are soo good. I was not able to find this out."

Li Wen: "Because you probably only checked on the man, Andy. You need to check on your enemy's friends and relatives as well. Sometimes, even their adversaries can give you clues. I've sent you everything there is to know. I already scanned the other patients through facial recognition. Some were indeed reported missing while others may just be normal patients. The police will need to run things thoroughly but this will definitely be enough for him to get arrested. "

Andrea: "Thanks, sis."

Li Wen: "You are welcome, sis. Anything for you and my brother-in-law."

The sisters went giggling after that. Andrea drowned her face in the man's chest while still holding the phone.

Andrea: "Shhh… he can hear you…"

Li Wen: "Why don't you bring him to your brother in law's birthday? It's happening at the end of the month."

Andrea: "I'll ask him… hmmm… okay bye. Love you. Regards to my nephews."

Lu Fang was smiling hearing their conversation. Some were clear to him but he wasn't sure if he heard it right. He thought he heard them talking about Rou Yanlin.

"Your sister looked-up Rou Yanlin?"

"Hmmm… Yes. I checked him out yesterday, but it wasn't solid. Lu Fang... My sister is a better hacker than me. She is also smarter than me – "

"The White Angel, she is your sister?"

"Lu Fang, you can't tell a soul. She made a lot of enemies doing what she does. Though White Angel is known to be the computer genius behind the best security software for big corporations, but she has also been helping the government solve complicated cases where her skills in hacking are put to the test… Literally."

Lu Fang was stunned learning this. It explains well how Andrea was able to easily ask help from White Angel to strengthen their system and how she herself was a good hacker. Who could have expected that White Angel was a woman and his lover's sister!

For this reason, the Royal Dragon remained on top.

"So is that how you got to work for the Royal Dragon? Because of your sister?"

"Yes."

"She must be really rich by now. Is that why you aren't accepting money from me? Your sister is providing for you?"

Andrea thought about it and yes, her sister does give her a little once in a while so she confirmed.

"Ahh… from time to time, she would offer to give me, but hey, don't get too comfortable, you will be paying for my salary Mr. Lu and I will get that refund from my penthouse 1 years' worth of rent!"

"Hmmmm…" The man grinned hearing this. What are a month's salary and 1 year worth of rent from her penthouse compared to what he can afford to give her but somehow, his woman was not asking for anything more than what she has earned.
