"I'm Li Wen."
Lu Fang swallowed his own fluid learning the identity of this power-tripping woman. More than relieved, he was shocked. He began to recall his conversations with Andrea. 'No wonder… No wonder she was easily able to convince President Xia to deal with Wu Meiwan and her father. No wonder she was so knowledgeable about the Royal Dragon Corporation.'
His mind instantly created a list of realizations but, at the same time, he also wondered why Andrea never told him about this very important detail.
Christina was confused seeing the reaction of his son but did recall Andrea mention the same name. "Li Wen… Andrea's sister?"
"Yes, that's right. I'm her sister." She came over to Christina and gave her a hug. Turning to Lu Wei and Lu Jie, she to shook their hands before saying another word, "I'm sorry to give you a scare but, trust me when I say, I had my reasons… Please… let's take your seats and let us enjoy more wine as we talk."
Before returning to her chair, Li Wen asked her children to greet the rest of the Lu Family. Xia Mei and Xia Jianyu happily obliged warming the hearts of Christina and Lu Wei.
Fruits, crackers, and cheese were served on their table, and an attendant poured more wine into their glasses. As they drank, Xia Ting, AKA President Xia called over a few family members to say hi to the Lus especially to Lu Fang.
It did not take long for the Lu Family to become overwhelmed with the warm welcome. They were impressed with how undivided the Xias were. They all knew Andrea and gave thrilling expressions after learning she was finally in a relationship. One reaction, however, did not sit well with the man.
"Oh man! We were rooting with General Lei!" The words came from Xia Ting's younger brother who was also in the military.
President Xia merely laughed and assured Lu Fang that his brother was only joking. He then excused himself to take the children to their table.
One very familiar Xia member eagerly greeted after the others had left their table. It was Xia Yanmei, Shen Mian's invited guest during one eventful dinner.
"Well, finally," she said and directed her gaze towards Lu Wei, "Mr. Lu, didn't I say you already had a connection with the Royal Dragon?"
"We are still a little blown away," Lu Fang replied instead of his father.
"Haha! Well… That is something either Andy or sister Wen should explain," Yanmei bowed her head before leaving. "Excuse me. I'll go back to my seat."
"Andy is a strange one," explained Li Wen. "She has the money to stay put but, fighting bad guys is just something that she got used to growing up." She then turned to Christina and asked, "Have Andy or Alfred told you about her involvement in the Davies' Empire?"
"No… No not yet… Wait you know about Alfred?"
"I know everything, Mrs. Lu." She winked at Christina before adding, "I guess we need to set another time for this discussion. Just so you know, Andy never intended to get deeply involved with your family nor with Lu Fang for that matter." Li Wen then paused and laughed all of a sudden. "Although, I hoped she would! Haha!"
"You have no idea, how many men I've tried to set her up with!" Li Wen then pointed to three gentlemen who were seated in different tables a few meters away. "I've set them with Andy for a blind date but nada! I guess… They were not as charming as Lu Fang."
After a very shocking revelation, Li Wen tried her best to change the mood from where they sat. Due to the upcoming program, it was not yet the right time for her to add more mind-blowing facts about Andrea, Anton Yeong, and herself. She figured tomorrow would be the day, "I was hoping that you will be staying until tomorrow so we can talk more important matters?"
"Yes, we are. We leave tomorrow evening for Beijing," replied Lu Fang.
"Good! Let us have breakfast tomorrow. I will have a private room arranged for us."
"So, where is Andy?" The man asked.
"Oh… I gave her the task of escorting father so she will not have any choice but to arrive much later."
Li Wen looked into the eyes of the Lus and seeing their expressions were no longer rigid, she decided it was time to get the celebration started. "I will join my husband and the kids now. Please enjoy the party… Andy should be here any minute. "
It did not take long for other guests to arrive and General Lei happen to be invited. He was specifically assigned in the same table as the Lu Family. After all, they knew each other well.
'Great!' Lu Fang thought. 'I bet he already knew Andy's relationship with the Xias!' He was jealous, somehow, that the General knew more about Andrea than him.
Finally, Xia Tao, Xia Ting's father arrived at the banquet hall with Andrea. She managed to get changed wearing the dress Lu Fang bought for her. It was another light mint green dress that flowed freely towards her feet yet, hugged her upper body perfectly.
The man smiled at the sight of his woman looking absolutely beautiful despite only putting on light make-up. He came forward to greet her, kissing her on the cheek, without minding the man beside her. "Babe, you gave me another surprise. We have a lot to talk about," he then came closer and whispered, "you know punishment will follow."
She blushed and pushed him away lightly knowing that she was assisting Xia Tao.
"Andy, who is this young man?"
"Oh, Uncle, this Lu Fang. He's my boyfriend," she eagerly introduced the man, whispering to Xia Tao's ears.
"Lu Fang? Wasn't it General Lie Dong, you were dating?"
"Hmmmm…" the man's expression darkened. He realized he needed to show himself off so the Xia's will recognize him as Andrea's man more than the General.
