Chapter 257 - The Delicate Wife

Lu Fang let out a heavy sigh in annoyance hearing the foreigner's words. He told himself, "Some people never learn… Aren't you one bit worried about meddling with me?"

"Hector, what is he talking about?" A bearded man from behind asked.

Hector frowned from the threat. He did very little research on this businessman, merely accepting the report by those who employed him. 'Nonetheless, this man is nothing compared to his enemies in Europe. There is nothing to worry about,' he told himself in silence.

"Nothing relevant. He is just trying to scare us away," Hector plainly said before pulling out a gun, pointing it to Lu Fang and his group. His colleagues did the same.

Simultaneously, Lu Fang's bodyguards and Hanxi also pulled out their handgun.

"Oh, noh!" They heard Megan cry out of fear as she and her assistant hid behind Hanxi.

The other man in Hector's group continued to stare at Andrea, agitating her husband.

"Andy! Get inside the car, I said," the man exclaimed.

Andrea pouted her lips. She did not want to miss out on the action but also saw the disgusting look on one of the supposed tourists, and thus she followed as instructed. She began to walk towards the car.

"Why does it seem like you are completely ignoring us, Mr. Lu?" Hector said. His voice now raised at him. "Let's just make it easy for both of us. We need for you to come with us and your beautiful and delicate wife can go unharmed."

"Pfft! Delicate? Hahah!" Andrea began laughing at being described as fragile. She was about to show Hector how graceful she can be, but her husband glared at her, silently reminding her to get inside the car.

She frowned and opened the car door, disappearing as it shut.

"Fire your guns! Let's see who has a better aim, your men versus mine," the man challenged.

Hector realized Lu Fang was confident with his words. He studied Hanxi and the other two men who were holding up their handguns and recognized their firm grip as well as their expressionless face. They weren't affected in any way. Worry began to manifest in him that he raised his hand, signaling his colleagues from inside the bus.

Screams could be heard from inside the large vehicle. The family who accepted their aid was pinned against the glass window. The two children were no exception to the harsh treatment making Lu Fang grit on his teeth.

"Do you want to be responsible for innocent lives, Mr. Lu?" Hector asked. His other hand remained to hold up a gun to Lu Fang's face. "We just need to bring you and Ms. Wong to our employer. We get paid. Your wife and  your companions will remain unscathed."

"What? Me? What did I ever do to you?" Megan reacted, fully frightened of what was about to happen.

Lu Fang was in deep thought for seconds but figured it was a good opportunity to meet whoever hired these men, so he agreed. "Let the family down first and I will come with you."

"Mr. Lu?" Megan asked. "Please, let us not go with them?"

He did not answer. Instead, he merely raised his hands, suggesting he surrendered.

Hector and his companions began to feel at ease. A few had smiles on their faces. They let down the family who earlier hopped on the bus, but before letting them go, Lu Fang was checked for any weapons on his body. After finding nothing, he was gestured to join them on the bus.

"Wait! Wait! Babe, wait for me!" Andrea called out, stepping outside the car. She was carrying with her a few of their take-out food and two sets of chopsticks.

"What are you doing?" asked her husband.

"I'm coming with you! The last time we were apart, I lost my memories. I'm not about to let you off that easily," she replied while holding tightly to his arm.

The man who showed an interest in Andrea smiled mischievously and said to Hector, "Boss, let the wife come along. I'm sure she will come in handy."

Hector observed Andrea's angelic face and slender figure. Although she seemed toned, she was wearing a dress and carrying food at a time of danger. Her presence did not intimidate him, but before agreeing he said, "Check her."

It made Lu Fang hold on to her for dear life saying, "No one is touching my wife."

"What do you need to check me for? I'm DELICATE remember?" Andrea said while trying to look as fragile as she can be.

"What do you think of me? Stupid?" Hector said. He then called out for one of his colleagues from inside the bus. "Anya! Anya! Check this woman."

A tattooed blond came down from the bus and searched Andrea. After finding nothing, she said, "She's clean." Turning to Hector, she added, "Besides, what can an angel do? Look at this face? She looks like a facial cleanser model."

Hanxi nearly choked on the side, covering his mouth as he coughed. Somehow, he wished he could join them and see their faces when his sister kicks their asses.

"Fine. Don't forget to leave your phones," Hector instructed. He knew their devices could easily be tracked. It was imperative to take out any electronic devices in their possession.

While the couple willingly welcomed the danger, Megan's body started to shake. Her heart was beating so fast, she was ready to faint. One of Hector's men dragged her inside the bus, following Andrea and Lu Fang.

A few other cars passed by, witnessing the abduction, but like normal individuals, they also feared for their lives and never looked back. A few of them called the police, but they were an hour away from the nearest station. It would merely be a futile effort.

The bus left the rest of Lu Fang's group behind and Hanxi quickly updated Li Wen.

After a careful assessment of the situation, Andrea decided it was an easy job, not requiring any backup. However, just a safeguard, she had brought with her tracking devices which she had already implanted on her husband's clothes and on her bracelet. If Li Wen does not hear from them before nightfall, she can easily find them.

Meanwhile, inside the bus, Andrea took out a box of food, opened her precious chopsticks and started feeding pieces of shrimp toast to her husband. "Here you go, babe."

Her actions completely bewildered the abductors. Some thought, she was exceptionally stupid, unable to recognize the severity of the situation.

As the man chewed, he lowered his head to his wife and whispered, "Babe, can you pretend to be a little scared?"
