Andrea was the first to wake up after the alarm went off. She checked the time; it was still five-thirty in the morning. That day, they needed to get ready to meet Pie Wang at the Global China headquarters and have lunch with the Xias and Lei Dong before leaving for Beijing in the afternoon.
She cleared her face with her palm and stroked her brown hair with her fingers before turning back to her sleeping husband. She grinned knowing how tired he must have been. Yesterday, they had to fight off some necessary pests and last night they had an amazing work out from the elevator to their hotel suite.
They ended up making use of the lift for more than half an hour. Thankfully, it was already nighttime when they arrived and few were needing to use the elevator. It did not catch as much attention as Andrea had feared.
After making their way to their hotel room, they continued making love until one in the morning, falling helplessly asleep after which, completely exhausted.
Andrea laid back down and stared blankly at the ceiling, recalling the images that came to her in the past two days. In just a short span of time, spending it fully with her husband, she uncovered many of their intimate moments. Last night was more eventful.
As they were ravishing each other, her memories went further back to when they first met. It made her emotional at some point, thinking of how Lu Fang had kept it together and held back himself when they met again, after waking up from a long sleep.
The more she thought about it, the more she recognized her feelings. It was merely locked inside her. She knew it just needed awakening. She hoped soon she could remember the time when she was carrying the twins and thinking about moving back to the Starlight Towers; she knew it would not be far too long.
Tears fell down her cheeks as she pondered in bed. She had not told Lu Fang yet of her recent recollection. She wanted to surprise him when the right time comes. For now, she wanted to know more and more about their past.
Before waking up her husband, she called the caregiver to check on the twins. After learning they were perfectly doing well, she laid back down the bed and hugged her husband from behind. He was still knocked out.
"Babe? It's a quarter past six in the morning. I think we need to get up now," she said after giving pecks on his back.
"Hmmm," the man turned to face her, still refusing to wake, merely pulling her closer to his embrace.
Andrea studied her husband's gorgeous face and caressed it with her hand. It made her smile thinking, 'What else do I need?'
She gave him light kisses on the face and on his lips before greeting, "Babe, good morning."
"Hmmm," he said while snuggling into her neck, making her rest on his head.
She giggled at the feel of his breath against her skin. She settled closer to his ear and whispered, "Thank you, babe. Thank you for everything. Do you want to do it before we leave for breakfast?"
Lu Fang woke up from the offer of love-making and chuckled. "I want to, but I'm too tired. Let's just have some breakfast, shall we?"
The couple, together with Bolin and Hanxi spent three hours at Global China, catching up with the Pies, at the same time, agreeing on some fixes for the company. Andrea, having gained back her confidence, conformed to come along with her husband on the next visit.
Before heading out for their lunch meeting, Andrea gave a memory disk to Megan. "Here, your files are on all there…Though, I deleted some lewd ones."
Megan gulped receiving the disk and thanked her either way.
"Megan, remember what I said? Never destroy other people's relationships. I will personally check on you," warned Andrea.
"No! Never… and I'm sorry," she responded swiftly, still scared of this daunting woman with an angelic face. After meeting Andrea she finally knew the real meaning to the phrase; never judge a book by its cover.
They returned to the Four Seasons where Li Wen had booked a private lunch for them with her family as well as General Lei and Rou Chunhua. When they entered the function room, everyone was already there, waiting for them.
Xia Ting came up to Andrea and gave her a warm hug. He was not able to see her since her return and was very relieved to know she was doing better.
"You look happy, Andy. I am thankful, your husband did a good job in making you recover despite what had happened," Xia Ting said while glancing at Lu Fang.
She smiled at his words, also turning to her husband. "Yes, he did. He did a wonderful job."
After her brother-in-law, Lei Dong came up to him and asked, "Andy, you know I am not an emotional person, but learning of what you have gone through, I want to hug you as well."
Andrea felt awkward that she signaled for approval from her husband. When he merely nodded, she welcomed the embrace coming from his former suitor.
General Lei introduced his wife to her and although she thought, Chunhua was far too familiar, she merely smiled and apologize for not remembering. During lunch, however, they instantly clicked, especially after learning that the two looked after their twins when she went missing.
It was a very well spent afternoon for Andrea. The talk with her sister's family and even Lei Dong's tales added to the missing pieces in her mind that she knew she was at the right place and with the right person.
Just before they ended the gathering, General Lei spoke to Andrea in person as they had coffee. Lu Fang was busy discussing matters with Xia Ting and Chunhua was playing with Mei-Mei, giving them the opportunity.
"Andy, I salute Lu Fang… I could never be him... be able to withstand everything and accomplish what he has done for you. Know that I am happy for you and I hope you find it in your heart to remember how much you love him."
Flying back to Beijing, Andrea kept thinking about Lei Dong's last words while looking out the window. She smiled acknowledging her husband was easy to love, regardless. Even if she never remembered a single thing, somehow, she knew she would easily fall in love with him.
"Everything okay, babe?" The man asked, seeing his wife in a daze.
Andrea turned to her husband and adoringly smiled at him before saying, "Lu Fang... I love you."
