Chapter 251 - What is wrong with you tonight?!

Han Ye stared at Luo Guangying for a moment before asking, "Did you talk to that... old man?"

Not to his surprise, Luo Guangying walked to the cabinet where they kept the cups as he said, "No."

His tone was very suspicious, but Han Ye did not pry further. He had enough on his plates to worry about another man. Besides, who was he to worry about this man? This man had his own lover.

Han Ye watched as Luo Guangying poured two cups of juice out before putting throwing the empty bottle of fresh orange juice into the trash can.

The latter placed a cup in front of Han Ye as he said, "We tried to talk to him, but Callum and him just ended up in a shouting match."

Luo Guangying took a sip of his orange juice before he added, "Luckily, Shenlong Feihuang was at home that night. Otherwise, it would have been a wasted trip."

Han Ye nodded. He took his cup and made a cheer motion before saying, "Thanks for the help."

Luo Guangying bumped his cup against Han Ye before asking in a curious tone, "Are you going to tell her?"

Han Ye nodded. "I think she already knew. If she didn't know, then she should know. No matter what, that's her husband."

"Han Ye..."

"Yes?"

"Don't you think that we are surrounded by people with painful experiences?"

Han Ye sighed and shrugged. "I guess people like us are just naturally drawn to people with similar experiences."

"I wish that our next generation would have better lives..." Luo Guangying mumbled as he looked at his bandaged left hand that had been badly hurt before. He gently rubbed the bloodstained on it as the memory of Callum's pained expression appeared on his face. That time, Luo Guangying's hand was broken for the second time. Callum had nearly gone crazy when he saw the terrible state that his left hand was in, and he nearly killed Luo Guangying's stepmother right there and then.

That pained expression on Callum's face was always there in the back of Luo Guangying's head. It was the first time since his mother's disappearance that someone showed such an expression because of him.

Luo Guangying sighed softly.

Han Ye was about to say something when Callum walked in and took Luo Guangying's left wrist.

"You need proper treatment," Callum said as a matter-of-fact.

However, Luo Guangying pulled his hand back roughly. "I can do it myself."

"What is wrong with you tonight?!" Callum snapped. Having lost his patience and too confused by this sudden treatment, he had accidentally raised his voice against the one person who he had never raised his voice on before.

When he saw the shocked expression on his lover's face, he immediately apologized, "Sorry. I didn't mean to raise my voice."

Luo Guangying looked away from him as he held his left hand to his heart. "I'm going to clean this up in the room. Please send Han Ye out."

He then left before Callum could say anything else.

Han Ye waited until Luo Guangying left the room before he asked, "Did something happen when you guys went to the Shenlong Mansion?"

Callum cursed under his breath a couple of times before replying, "Hell if I know. Everything was fine, even after we left."

He then frowned and added, "Wait a minute... Now that you mentioned it... I think his temper slowly changed after we left Shenlong Mansion."

"Did your grandfather talk to him? You know how stubborn your grandfather is when it comes to your partner," Han Ye asked.

Callum's expression darkened. "I warned Guangying before we went over, and I told him to ignore whatever scathing remarks that the old f*cker might say to him. I even made sure that the old man stayed at least 5 feet away from him. How did he manage to hurt my lover?!"

Han Ye shrugged. "That's a big house, and you were there for quite some time I supposed. Your grandfather is good at hurting people, so..."

He raised a brow at Callum, who understood it immediately.

"I'll give them a call. If he did say something to my Guangying, I'll have to go and break all his valuables!" Callum growled as he cracked his fists. His grandfather had a thirst for antiques, and Callum knew just which to break so that the old man could feel his pain.

"Do what you have to do," Han Ye said as he glanced at his watch. "If there's nothing else, I have to go. I still have something to buy."

"Would you be meeting us at Du Mansion tomorrow morning?" Callum asked.

"Probably not. I will get everything done tonight, then tomorrow morning, I'd be leaving from my place with Xiao Lei."

"It won't be easy for the two of you," Callum said as he patted Han Ye's shoulder. He had come to know about the history between these three people, and he knew how close they were when they were kids.

Han Ye shrugged. "Nothing is ever easy... but we still have to do this."

....

The next morning, after everyone parked their cars at the entrance of the burial ground, they started to walk up the slope quietly. Everyone was dressed in their mourning clothes as they walked quietly toward the columbarium. A monk led the front of the group while Han Ye walked behind him with a framed A4 portrait of Wu Yuexue as well as the urn that contained her ash.

DX had offered to pay for a bigger procession, but Han Ye rejected his offer. He just wanted a simple one, and he believed that Wu Yuexue would have wanted the same thing.

Xiao Lei walked behind him with a somber expression, while the rest of the group walked further behind. As they walked, Xiao Lei would occasionally peek at the guys walking behind her.

Callum and Luo Guangying was walking quite further apart from each other, with Tian Le and the twins sandwiched between them. There was a girl walking in the middle of the twins as well.

During the drive earlier, Han Ye had briefly explained some people to Xiao Lei, and when they got out of the car earlier, he also made some brief introductions. According to Han Ye, the young girl's name was Quinn, and she was DX's god-daughter, which made her the twins' god-sister.

Xiao Lei looked further behind and saw Quinn's parents. Xiao Lei was slightly surprised to know that Quinn's parents were of the same gender, but this went away quickly. When she saw Judge and Layla Rong, she could see why they fell for each other.

Both of them were so beautiful, albeit in different manners. To Xiao Lei, Judge had this sternness in her look and the way she carried herself, but the gaze in her eyes were often soft when she talked to or about Layla and Quinn. When they were waiting for everyone to arrive, Xiao Lei and Judge had a short conversation.

At that time, Judge's soft blonde wavy hair moved in the air whenever there was a breeze, and it made her look as if she were shooting a commercial.

Her deep blue eyes looked as if they held a lot of secrets.

As for Layla, she was, in a simpler manner of speaking, drop-dead gorgeous. Xiao Lei's heart skipped a beat when she saw Layla getting down from one of the BMWs and taking off her sunglasses earlier. The smile that Layla showed her was so bright that Xiao Lei thought she would be blinded by it.

To Xiao Lei, Layla had the kind of elegance that came naturally to some people. In fact, Layla reminded Xiao Lei of her mother.

Xiao Lei had compared Quinn to both her mothers, and it could clearly be seen who Quinn took after.

These two people were so beautiful that Xiao Lei felt sorry for the guys who had lost their opportunities to woo these two beautiful women.

After a while, Xiao Lei looked back again and saw DX and Kai Xin walking hand-in-hand at the back of everyone else.

So that their young children wouldn't disrupt the seriousness of the situation, DX and Kai Xin decided to put some distance between them and everyone else.

Little Monkey was sleeping in one of DX's arms, so they were not that worried about her making noises. However, Baby Wyatt, who was sleeping in a pram, was obviously too young to know better. Kai Xin did not want his cries to disrupt Han Ye's thoughts.

Knowing Han Ye, the man would be worried if Baby Wyatt cried all of a sudden. Kai Xin wanted his mind to be where it was supposed to be---on Wu Yuexue.
