Chapter 332 - Because he's under my protection

...

"And that's all the happened," Xiao Zhihao said, still mad. Tian Le dragged him to the school clinic, and after he was done receiving his first-aid, Tian Le took him to the principal room. The older teenager wanted to stay, but the principal told him to go back to his class.

Hence, after staying for a while, Tian Le left.

"Student Xiao mentioned the student, but we just checked, the said student left with Student Quinn earlier..." the principal said with a sigh. He glanced at the parents for a moment before looking back at Han Ye. "And we gave him a call, of course. However, that student said that he did not know anything and nothing happened. He did not want to speak to any of us, and since there was no CCTV inside the toilet, we couldn't confirm Student Xiao's story."

The principal thought that it was weird that the student was using the girl's blazer and that he was walking slowly, as if he was in pain, but if the student did not want to say anything, the school could not do anything about it.

He looked at Johnny, who despite his badly bruised face, had a smirk on his face, and the principal could not help but shake his head. Bullying was a serious issue in their school, but 99% of the time, the bullied students were too afraid to stand up and point out their bullies, and so, the school management could not do anything as well.

Han Ye thought about the principal's words for a while. When he looked at Xiao Zhihao, the latter did not have any emotions on his face, as if he did not want to talk anymore. It was as if Xiao Zhihao had expected this outcome.

Han Ye glanced at the parents of the three students.

"Bullying? Our sons are good boys! At most, it was probably just boys roughhousing it," Oliver's mother sneered as she placed her arm around her son protectively. "Your boy, he went overboard! The witnesses said that he just jumped out of nowhere and hit our sons! Look at our sons' faces!"

"Yeah!" Another mother chimed in.

Johnny's mother was the angriest among them. "How are you going to compensate for my son's pain? His hand was broken, and I've seen the video! That boy broke it on purpose!"

"He deserved it..." Xiao Zhihao mumbled from behind Han Ye as he glared at Johnny. He wished he had more time to break the guy's other hand. He wanted Johnny to know what it was to be like helpless in front of others.

"Then what do you guys want?"

"We heard that he's a scholarship student. We want his scholarship revoked and him expelled!" Johnny mother said, and the other parents nodded their heads in agreement. "He's a danger to everyone else! Mr. Principal, how could you have given a scholarship to a kid like him? What if he had accidentally killed our sons?!"

The principal was about to say something, but Han Ye asked in a cold tone, "What do you mean by a kid like him?"

"Those scholarsh.i.p.s should be kept for more deserving students; students who are well balanced in all aspects. And that kid is certainly not one. With the way he attacked our sons, he probably has mental issues!" Johnny's father snarled. He then glared at the principal and said, "I've already said before. Those scholarsh.i.p.s are useless. The poor don't belong with us! Their upbringings would only ruin our children. If I had known that you guys didn't vet the scholarship students properly, I wouldn't have donated money to this school and let you guys put my son in danger!"

Han Ye scoffed. "You guys want to expel him? Over my dead body."

"Who the f*ck are you?" Johnny's father snarled. He walked to Han Ye, and when he was directly in front of Han Ye, it seemed as if he were double of Han Ye's size. As he glared down at Han Ye, he snapped, "The boy's parents aren't even here, so who are you to interfere? Why the f*ck are you even here?!"

"Because he's under my protection," Han Ye replied in a calm voice. "And mister, I know you are more brawn than brain, but I'd prefer it if you don't step into my comfort zone."

"Or what?" the man snarled and grabbed Han Ye's collar.

"This..." Han Ye put his hand on the man's hand, which was on his collar, and he twisted it. At the same time, with one swift kick, he kicked the back of the man's knee, causing the man to fall on one knee. He then twisted the man's hand behind him, and when the man cried out in pain, he whispered to the man, "I don't enjoy being threatened, and I definitely don't enjoy seeing a kid under my protection getting threatened by anyone..."

"Mr. Han, please calm down. This won't solve anything," the principal said nervously as he tried to break the fight.

"You're right," Han Ye said as he smiled at the principal. He looked at the man beneath him and smirked. "If you behave yourself, then I'll let you go. Otherwise, you'll be in a sling just like your son. Do you understand me?"

The man glared at Han Ye and spat. Instead of a retort, Han Ye replied by twisting the man's hand until the man cried out, "Yes! Yes!"

When he heard the man's words, Han Ye immediately released him before taking a step back.

"This isn't over!" the man snapped. "I'll sue you for this! And that kid too! I'll sue you until I bleed you dry!"

He rubbed his hand and laughed. "Oh, what am I saying... You guys probably can't even afford to pay the legal fees."

Han Ye smiled coldly and said, "The one who can't afford legal fees is you."

He turned to the principal and said, "Call the police. I want to report an assault and battery."

Johnny's father laughed. "Ya, go ahead! We will report your son for this! And we have the evidence to support our case!"

"Mr. Han..." The principal looked at him to confirm.

Han Ye chuckled. "Let's see..."

He looked at the three boys as he continued, "All of us will go to the police station. And on our side, we will take the bullied kid, and we will give him a medical examination. In addition, I would personally sponsor him so that in case you guys tried to use his scholarship to threaten him and keep him quiet. We'll see what the kid would say after this."

The three boys glanced at each other. Oliver's mother, unperturbed by the subtle threat in Han Ye's words, laughed and said with a snickering tone, "As if someone like you could afford it..."

The principal's eyes went wide, and he immediately shook his head to warn the woman to shut up.

"Oh, I can't?" Han Ye put on a confused expression. "It can't be that expensive..."

Johnny's mother laughed and added, "I'm sure the yearly expense of even a primary school student here would be more than 2 years of your salary, much less a high school student."

"Hmm... Is it?" Han Ye folded his arms. "I'd expect someone of your impeccable upbringing to have some common sense and knowledge, but it looks like your so-called high society upbringing didn't give you any sense..."

"What?" Johnny's mother snapped, and she glared at her husband. "Aren't you going to do something about this?"

The man snarled and nodded. He walked to Han Ye threateningly as he cracked his knuckles. "You took me by surprise earlier, but--"

Before he could get near Han Ye, the principal quickly got in between them and snapped angrily, "ENOUGH!"

If this were to go on any longer, the principal could see that nothing good would come out of this. He did not want to offend the parents of the three students, as they were somewhat influential and had been donating a lot of money to the school, but he also did not want to offend Han Ye.

He was surprised that none of the parents recognized who Han Ye was, given how often the man appeared in magazines and newspapers along with President Du.

The parents were shocked by the principal's behavior. The principal had rarely raised his voice, and definitely not to the parents who paid a bomb to enroll their kids here.

"I'm sorry to tell you this, but none of your sons have been what we would term as 'good students'. Even though no one reported them, my old eyes can still see clearly." The principal stared at the boys and said, "I can't do anything without evidence, but if you don't say anything now, you will regret it later. If you tell us the truth now, I can still do something for you guys..."

"Are you threatening our sons?" Johnny's father glared at the usually demured principal in disbelief.
