...
About 45 minutes later, Xiao Lei walked out of the greenhouse while massaging her lower jaw. It was a good thing that everyone was too busy tending to those in the garden that there was barely anyone left around the greenhouse.
She quickly looked around before popping her head into the greenhouse again, where Han Ye was still somewhat dazed as he straightened his shirt. "No one's here..." she said with a glint in her eyes.
"That's it for now!" Han Ye said as he quickly got out of the greenhouse. He then took her hand and asked, "How's your lower jaw?"
"Sore..." Xiao Lei mumbled. She then looked up at him and grinned as she asked, "Did you like it?"
Her question had totally embarrassed him, but he still nodded and said, "Yeah..."
A smile formed at the corners of his lips as he looked at her. "I'll return the favor soon, Ms. Xiao."
Xiao Lei chuckled, but she didn't say anything else.
Looking at her beautiful face, Han Ye could not help but say again, "You're beautiful..."
"I know..." she said with a smirk. She then looked at the time on his watch and said, "Should we go help out for the dinner?"
"It's fine. Everything is almost ready. I have to go and help out a little. Why don't you go and get a change of clothes?"
"What's wrong with my clothes?" she asked with a frown as she looked down at her clothes.
"The dinner would be more formal, and all the ladies would be in dresses."
"What?" Xiao Lei gasped as she stared at him in disbelief. "Why didn't you tell me?!"
To her annoyance, Han Ye merely shrugged and said, "I thought you would know, since this is Du Mansion after all."
"Han Ye!" Xiao Lei groaned as she slapped his chest. "Urgh! You jerk!"
Looking at her annoyed expression, Han Ye laughed softly before saying, "I've prepared a dress for you. I picked it up myself, so I think you would like it."
"You could have avoided that if you just told me beforehand. Why would you waste money like that? I still have some dresses at home that you bought me, and I have never worn any of them before!" Xiao Lei said with a sigh. "And is it fun to prank me?"
"Quite fun actually," Han Ye said unapologetically. He then leaned in and kissed her forehead before saying, "I just like to buy you stuff... Anyway, President Du gave me a room here. The greenhouse is not that clean, so just take a shower in my room. I've prepared everything that you need, so you don't have to worry that you won't have anything to match the dress I got you."
He then asked in a soft voice, "Are you scared? I can shower with you."
Xiao Lei wanted to retort, but she felt that no matter what she would say, Han Ye would just infuriate her more with his words. Han Ye was always proper when there were people around, but the moment they were alone, no matter where or when, he would return to his true nature--a mean, perverted bully.
It was a good thing that Xiao Lei could play along, or Han Ye would have dominated this relationship. She reached down and gently patted his p*nis as she said in a seductive manner, "Shower with me? Are you sure you can get to dinner on time then?"
Han Ye gulped and shook his head. "I'm sorry, Ms. Xiao. I shouldn't have joked with you like that."
He had a feeling that if he continued playing, he would end up getting played by her. He did not have that much time left for another full round since he doubted that he would end it quickly enough.
Clearing his throat, Han Ye asked as he put his hand out, "Let's go?"
"I'll let you off this time, Mr. Han," Xiao Lei said with a smirk before putting her hand on his opened palm. "I won't be this kind the next time."
Han Ye grinned like a little boy as he clasped his fingers over it tightly and took her to his room. He had everything ready in the room, so all he needed to do was to take them out for her.
Once he lay out everything on the bed for her, he then pointed to the small black box that he put down on the bed and said, "I got you some nice jewelry, and there's something there that would make me really happy if you wear it to the dinner later."
"Can I see it now?" Xiao Lei asked as she tried to reach for the box.
But before she could reach it, Han Ye pulled her away from the box and into his hug. "See it later..."
He then said in a low voice, "Take your time. We will be having dinner at the East Garden. Do you know where that is? If not, just text me when you're done, and I can come and pick you up."
Upon hearing him, Xiao Lei rolled her eyes dramatically. "Well, it's East Garden... So, it's at the east of the mansion? And I know where it's at. I was there before."
"Man, my future wife is so smart!" Han Ye grinned condescendingly as he reached out to rub her head. When he saw how she was glaring at him, daring him to keep rubbing her head, he immediately pulled his hand back and said, "Then I'll see you at the garden later. Dinner starts at 7 pm, so you have some time to take a nap if you want to."
He then placed a kiss on her cheek before leaving the room. And once he was gone, Xiao Lei looked at the dress he bought her and frowned. "This... is a little extravagant for a small dinner, no?" she murmured to herself as she looked at the dress.
The Tiffany blue dress was a knee-length dress with white pearls sewed on the hems, and Han Ye had paired it with a pair of midnight black flats with tiny bows on them. Xiao Lei opened up the small black box that Han Ye left on the bed, which he said contained the jewelry that she would need.
"What the..." she murmured before her palm slowly moved to slap her forehead.
