With Han Ye's hand in hers, Xiao Lei looked out the window for a long time, thinking about the last couple of months and how much had changed since then. She was no longer a struggling mother trying to make sure her son had everything he needed, and since her husband's disappearance--no, his death--she no longer felt as if she were the only one who cared for herself and her son.
Perhaps thinking about all these memories were a little too tiring on her, or perhaps she was just tired from all she ate earlier... But she soon fell asleep.
Han Ye smiled and leaned over to turn off the speaker in her helmet. He then adjusted his microphone and asked the pilot, "How far are we?"
"ETA in 35 minutes."
"Alright. Let me know when we are 5 minutes away. Out." Han Ye then closed his eyes and took a rest. He had been up the whole day, working and planning everything out. Even though he was used to sleepless nights and long hours, but when he was normal Han Ye instead of work Han Ye, his strength level was actually only slightly above average instead of inhuman level.
Han Ye had a dreamless nap, and when he heard a static sound in his earpiece, he woke up quickly. The first thing he did was to check on Xiao Lei, who was still sound asleep. He then said into his mouthpiece, "What's wrong?"
"We are 5 minutes away," said the pilot.
Han Ye quickly looked out the window. He could see the beach of the island, as well as everything that he had arranged to be prepared on the beach. With a grin, he quickly leaned over to wake Xiao Lei up. "Xiao Lei, look outside..." he said in a soft voice.
Xiao Lei groaned as she rubbed her eyes, "This better be good... I was dreaming about... erm... something."
She was actually dreaming about eating mala hotpot, but she was too embarrassed to admit it, especially since she just ate a lot during dinner earlier.
"Come on, wake up, sleepyhead..." Han Ye teased as he patted her head. "Or you're gonna miss it..."
When Xiao Lei looked at him with sleepy eyes, he pointed out the window. Xiao Lei leaned over to look out from his side of the window, and her eyes widened slightly.
Looking at her surprised expression, Han Ye could not help himself. He leaned in and stole a kiss from her. "Do you like it?"
Xiao Lei nodded. If not for the seatbelt, she would have just sat on Han Ye's lap to take a better look outside.
Han Ye gulped when Xiao Lei's br*ast brushed against his hand. He had this urge to touch her right then, but he kept his hands to himself and said into the microphone, "Please circle around for a while so that Ms. Xiao can take a better look."
"Roger!" the pilot replied before turning the helicopter around so that Xiao Lei could see from her window.
Xiao Lei frowned when she could not see anything from Han Ye's side, and she immediately leaned to her window and looked out. Right on the beach, the words "Xiao Xiao Lei is Han Ye's woman" was "written" in white lights, and placed within a huge love made with red lights.
"That's not all..." Han Ye murmured. He then looked at the pilot and gave him a thumbs up. "Keep looking out the window, Xiao Lei..."
Xiao Lei nodded, and she saw, to her disappointment, the lights disappearing one by one. A few seconds later, a bright blue light and a bright pink light appeared, and one by one, blue and bright lights appeared, forming two cartoon characters.
"Han Ye!" Xiao Lei blushed slightly, but she did not take her eyes away from the image, which was of a boy and a girl kissing, and above their heads, the words "I love you" were flashing in red lights. "This is... so cute..."
Han Ye asked, "Do you like it?"
It was a little childish, but he was hoping that Xiao Lei would be able to remember it so that when she was already 80 years olds, when she had forgotten about everything, including him, she would still remember this particular scene.
Xiao Lei nodded slightly. She then turned away from the window and looked at Han Ye. "I love you too, Mr. Han..." she said while looking at him through a pair of shining eyes. Then, without any warning, she removed her seatbelt and jumped on him, kissing him on the lips.
"Ms. Xiao... This... is... dangerous," Han Ye murmured disapprovingly, but he could not help responding to her kisses. He was getting somewhat aroused, especially with the way she was sitting on his laps. Her bottom was rubbing against him every time she moved, and the warmth of her hands on his chest, which he could feel through his shirt, was making it worse.
At one point, he wasn't even sure what was more dangerous. The fact that she was not seated in her seat and wearing her seatbelt, or the fact that he was about to go crazy and take her there.
However, when he heard the obviously fake cough coming from his earpiece, he immediately killed all the naughty thoughts in his mind. He placed his hands on her cheeks and murmured, "Xiao Lei... We have company here..."
As if she finally realized where she was, she immediately scrambled off Han Ye's laps and sat on her seat properly with the seatbelt on. With her eyes locked at the view outside the window, she murmured, "I'm sorry..."
The pilot chuckled. Having been President Du's pilot for a few years, he had actually seen, or heard, worse things. At least these two took only one cough to stop themselves. "Should I land, Mr. Han?"
Han Ye nodded and said into the mouthpiece, "Yes, we are ready to land."
