Chapter 67 - A Deal Over Breakfast

Vaughn was awakened by a kick from Zenia. Her sleeping habit was still the same. She was the one who put the divider between them, but she was also the one who invaded his space. Even though he was kicked, he still thought the bed was too big. He should replace it with something a bit smaller so he could hug her without trouble. He could just say that she was the one who invaded his space. She was aware of how bad her sleeping habits were and wouldn't suspect him at all.

Looking at her cute, sleeping face, Vaughn gave Zenia a peck on her lips. He grinned at his shamelessness, but what she didn't know wouldn't lead to his demise. As long as she did not know anything, he was safe. He would always have a clean slate. He was suddenly thankful for wearing a half mask.

Vaughn got up and instructed some servants to prepare everything, including a hearty breakfast. He knew that Zenia would be starving when she woke up. He went out and supervised the people who were moving things into his bedchamber. He had decided to tell Zenia that they must share the same room to avoid arousing suspicions. He grinned because he knew that his little devil wouldn't be able to reason her way out of the arrangement.

The maids began bringing in the dresses, pieces of jewelry, accessories, shoes, and other things that Vaughn had ordered to prepare for Zenia. The maids were careful not to wake her up as per the Crown Prince's instruction. A dresser was also moved in first. They were about to finish when…

Blag!

"Mother, I'm up!" Zenia shouted as she quickly stood up.

The maids were startled and did not know what to do. They were rooted on the ground and did not know whether to cry or laugh. Their Crown Princess was really something.

"What happened?!" Vaughn came running and asked immediately.

The maidservants were already sweating and their faces turned white. They did not do anything and were too careful, but the Crown Princes suddenly fell from the bed.

"Oh, I'm still in Tissuria." Zenia softly uttered and walked near the balcony.

It was obvious that she was still half-asleep. The maids shuddered when they saw Zenia's action. She could've suffered from the heavy fall and cry, just like any normal young lady would. But she looked fine and unscathed as if nothing happened.

'Is Crown Princess stronger than a mule?'

Vaughn went to her hurriedly and checked for injuries. When he was certain that everything was fine, he sighed and began patting Zenia's cheeks to wake her up completely.

Zenia got annoyed and suddenly held his hands to stop him from patting her cheeks.

"I'm good, I'm awake already, so stop it."

Vaughn was already wearing his full mask, and Zenia could not see his dazzling smile.

"Serve the breakfast and bring in the Crown Princess' dress," Vaughn instructed his people.

Zenia saw the enormous amount of dishes being carried in. The servants thought Zenia would complain about the exorbitant amount of dishes. Instead, her eyes sparkled with delight. She was not able to have the soup that she wanted to drink before she went to bed last night. She was glad that Vaughn was considerate enough to let his chef prepare it for her, along with other scrumptious dishes for breakfast.

Zenia always believed that breakfast was the most important meal of the day. She always had a big breakfast in Anisen Manor. She rubbed her palms against each other and sat down to eat her meal. Vaughn took a seat, and Zenia looked at him.

"You haven't eaten yet?"

Vaughn was surprised at what she said. There were so many dishes on the table, was she planning to finish them all by herself? He was amazed at Zenia's ability to surprise him.

"Bring in more dishes. I will eat together with the Crown Princess."

Everyone was also amazed that their Crown Princess could finish off such amount of food. She was eating gracefully and none of them noticed how fast she went. She almost ate half of the dishes within a short period of time.

Vaughn shook his head because the scene was not surprising to him anymore. He began eating and did not forget to tell Zenia about greeting the King and Queen as newlyweds.

"Do you mean to say that I still need to go through a lot of ceremonies?" Zenia could not believe her ears and began to feel annoyed at the absurd traditions and customs of Tissuria.

Back in Ishelon, she was the boss and her mother was the main boss. Even the King of Ishelon could do nothing to her when she decided not to do something. But still, her father was the second main boss and her superior. Her father used his second main boss authority when he told her that she should marry the Crown Prince of Tissuria. It was a mission that she had no reason to decline.

Vaughn reached out his hand and held Zenia's hand. "Please, bear with it a bit more."

Zenia immediately got used to Vaughn's occasional physical contact and no longer shoved his hand away. They were, after all, a married couple. She must get used to it already to appear natural before the crowd. She accepted the mission, and she would see it to the end.

"You will need to triple my compensation, and I still have to tell you what I want. I might end up taking all of your riches and wealth." Zenia gave him a mischevious grin.

"I agree to your conditions, even if you turn me into a pauper," Vaughn told her in a low voice.

Zenia was quite satisfied with his answer. Vaughn felt guilty because he had already turned all of his riches to her. He would actually be giving her the money that she already owned in the first place. Ah, he could not imagine what she would do to him that moment she learned the truth, including his identity as Big Brother Vaughn.

"I trust your words." Zenia simply told him and went back to eating her breakfast.
