Zenia wandered around Solaria while keeping her vigilance. She discovered some of the locations that the secret guards of the Ninth Prince had been hiding. She used her gust of wind to propel her higher than usual. She was very careful in her maneuver and managed to hide among the shadows. The crescent moon helped her conceal her movements.
To avoid meeting another Elida, she did not mingle with the people in the night market. Zenia realized that the people of Tissuria were fond of going to the night markets. She had seen one in the Principality of Ismund. She wondered if the capital had one too.
She saw some men making sneaky moves, and Zenia just watched them from her inconspicuous spot. She told herself over and over again that she would not move from her spot no matter what the men might do. She was nothing more than a spectator watching the events being unfolded before her eyes. She should not interfere with the current situation and should remain low-profiled all the time.
Three men met just beneath the tree where Zenia was hiding. No one would be able to get a clear view of her even when they decided to look up.
"Any word from the Ninth Prince?" One of the men asked the other men.
Each of them was currently wearing a black suit with a matching mask. Zenia had a hunch that they could be the men who belonged to the assassins group of the Ninth Prince. She had seen the suit before, and they were also given the same mask when they were supposed to attack Ovid and Renaria on the day when they arrived at Tissuria.
"There's none, but Boss said that if we can kill the Crown Princess that would be the best. He will give a bonus to anyone who can kill her. Ms. Verone is still in the Left Minister's estate. The people of the Crown Prince are doing their best to delay her."
"The Crown Prince and Princess are in for a surprise when they return. Ms. Verone should be settled there by then."
"The renovation of the villa, where the Crown Prince will throw the Crown Princess, is complete. The villa is ready to receive its new owner. Once the Crown Princess is out of the palace, Ms. Verone will be able to live an easy life."
"Once Ms. Verone replaced the ugly good-for-nothing daughter of Ovid as Crown Princess, everything will go according to plan. With Ms. Verone's beauty, I'm sure that the Crown Prince won't be able to hold back and spend each night in Ms. Verone's arms."
The men laughed joyously as if there was no tomorrow.
"Brothers, when the Ninth Prince finally inherits the throne, we can look forward to better days ahead."
"We better hurry to Gretia, I already know where they are staying. Let us split the bonus after the Crown Princess has been killed."
Zenia gritted her teeth and tried her best to calm down. If it was her, they would never get a chance. But, Zekiah did not have the skill to do it. Vaughn's hunch was right all along. She wanted to clear her head and calm her nerves, but these men just wouldn't let her. They even planned to kill Zekiah who was posing as her at the moment.
'Ah, you're so unfortunate you bunch of vermins. I need to vent my anger.'
Zenia swooped down from the tree at an incredible speed and began attacking the men, who were caught by surprise. Zenia was merciless and swift. She cut the men exactly where it would hurt the most. She could not get angry with her husband, who was also a victim.
'Throw me out of the palace? Kill my little brother? Not in your life!'
She kicked and cut the men each time she had an opportunity, which kept coming. The person attacking the men seemed to disappear before their eyes after delivering the blow. They had no way to retaliate. They literally became human punching bags and practice dummies.
'She could seduce my husband easily, dream on!'
Zenia had never been that furious. She could not wait to cut up that Verone and serve her rotting flesh to the Ninth Prince and the Left Minister. Rage was already making her judgment hazy. All she could think was she must let out the anger that was consuming her.
The blows kept coming, and the men were too weak to even retaliate if they could. They left their fate in the hands of the stranger who appeared like a phantom. They just wanted everything to end and hoped that they would be able to have a better opportunity in their next lives.
Zenia was gasping for breath when she stopped her assault. The men were barely breathing. In her estimate, they would not be able to see the light of day.
She must get rid of the body and make sure that none of the Ninth Prince's men would discover anything. She hid the body in the shadows. She carried one body to a nearby cliff and threw it. She did the same with the rest.
She must be truly lucky to chance upon the Ninth Prince's men who were planning to kill Zekiah. They were also unfortunate to taste the brunt of her rage.
Zenia sat on the branch of a large tree. She could see some lights in the night market. It was as lively as the one in the Principality of Ismund. She closed her eyes and felt that her anger was slowly leaving her. She took a deep breath and wiped the blood off her dagger.
She surveyed the area for the last time before she decided to return to her husband's side.

Duke Gordon and Rodham waited until there were only a few people on the street. They were about to make their move when the patrolling officers happened to stop in front of them.
"Good evening gentlemen, it's already late you need to go back to your place." One of the patrolling officers greeted the Duke.
Only a few people in Tissuria had seen the face of the Young Duke. He was a proper gentleman from head to foot, but he was hiding a deep, dark secret. His face could easily entice a woman, but he had no interest in pursuing romantic involvement with any of them.
When he saw Zenia across the street, he knew that she was the one that he had been looking for all hid life. He knew that she was not like any other woman in Tissuria. If he could correctly, she looked like someone from Ishelon. The man that was with her was obviously from Tissuria. Why were they together? He knew that it was impossible for someone in Tissuria to have any form of connection with someone from Ishelon.
The young man who was being beaten earlier looked like someone from the distant Kingdom of Herzegova. That kingdom was almost at the other end of the continent. He was curious about how or who brought the young man in Tissuria. The people of the Kingdom of Herzegova were born with the power to see the future.
The awakening of their power could be triggered when they had survived an ordeal that could cost them their lives. The people of that kingdom decided to put their power into a deep slumber and not let it awakened. Great disaster could happen when that power had been awakened.
The Young Duke was fond of reading and researching. He learned in one of his research that the Kingdom of Herzegova had fallen. In his estimate, no one had survived the great disaster that had befallen their kingdom some years back. How did the young man survive?
Duke Gordon Milford was one of the most handsome men in Tissuria. His body built was only slightly inferior to Vaughn, but his face was definitely more beautiful. If he would dress as a woman, no man would be able to resist his charm.
"We are just waiting for our companion, officer. We will go back as soon as we meet him."
"Then be careful on your way, gentlemen. There had been a series of murders in the last few days and we are only after the welfare of the citizens."
"Thank you for your concern, sirs. We will keep that in mind."
The officers went on their way and did not bother the Young Duke and Rodham.
"Should we go to the room of the Young Madam now?" Rodham asked his master and the annoyance was obvious in his tone.
If the patrolling officers did not delay them, his master could be enticing the Young Madam already. Wouldn't that bring great happiness to the aging Old Duke?
The Young Duke was his only heir and at the age of thirty, he still could not find the woman that he wanted to spend his life with. Not until they met the Young Madam earlier. He had never seen the Young Duke took so much interest in a woman before. If the man earlier was truly her husband, Rodham would do anything in his power to eliminate the competition.
Duke Gordon noticed a shadowed figure entered the room where Vaughn was sleeping. He was not certain if it was the same person who left earlier.
"Don't be hasty. Someone had entered the room of the woman. Let's wait and see."
