Zenia knew that he would give that kind of reaction, and she decided to say the thing about the second wife at the end.
"You don't need to react like that. I have everything under control."
Now that things had been set, the next thing that Zenia should do was inform the head cook that Leyna had returned. Zekiah told the couple that he had something to do first and would just go directly to Vaughn's palace when he finished his business. The couple agreed, and they went on their separate ways.
Zekiah did not waste a single minute and composed a message to be sent to Zander.
[Big Brother,
The second wife of the Crown Prince is already staying in the Palace of the Crown Prince. It was a Royal Decree that made it possible. Zenzen said that everything is under control.
I think the enemy will make their move anytime now. I just got here. Zenzen and the Crown Prince arrived two days earlier. The Ninth Prince's men traced us to Gretia, there was a mole. We decided to split up to confuse our pursuers.
Whatever it is you're planning to do, I suggest you do it now.
Zeze]
Zekiah knew that the message must be sent immediately. He had no idea how fast it would reach Zander. He was in a dilemma because he feared that the content of the message might be compromised.
He was still thinking of the best thing to do when a secret guard from Ishelon appeared before him.
"Young Master Zekiah, do you want to send a message to the Commander?"
Zekiah recognized the secret guard as one of Zander's most trusted men. He knew that his Big Brother had chosen some guards to provide assistance for him and Zenia, but he did not expect that his Big Brother already deployed them. He estimated their arrival within the next two weeks. He wondered what made Zander changed his mind.
"When did Big Brother sent you here?"
"We've been observing things here for three weeks now, and I happen to see you from across the street. I plan to pay a visit to the Palace of the Crown Prince next week to inform the Junior Commander."
"It's best not to go there. Tell the others to stay hidden and mingle well with the crowd. I will tell Zenzen that you are here. Things are already becoming ugly, and I can't tell when the enemy will decide to attack. Let this message reach Big Brother as soon as possible."
"I understand Young Master."
The secret guard moved swiftly and disappeared without a trace. Zekiah heaved a sigh of relief.
'Hurry Big Brother.'

Vaughn and Zenzen finally arrived at the Palace of the Crown Prince. The maids informed Verone immediately. Rosalie greeted Zenia and Vaughn at the door of the main residence and narrated what happened when the good doctor Odessa Munchefort examined Verone.
"Hmm, send a message to my teacher that I would love to meet her niece at any given time that she set."
"What about the elixirs that she prescribed, Your Highness?"
"If it would help cure Verone's stupidity, we can give it to her. It may help her wake up from her madness and realize her wrongdoings." Zenia snatched the prescription from Rosalie and handed it to Vaughn.
"Redivo!"
"Yes, Your Highness."
"Get these elixirs from the Royal Apothecary."
Redivo put the prescription in his coat pocket and went on his way.
Zenia turned to Rosalie and asked, "Is that all?"
"Yes, Your Highness. Ms. Verone exploded earlier and calmed down after an hour. Should I check again, Your Highness?"
"No, you may go."
Rosalie bowed her head and left. Vaughn and Zenia went to their bedchamber to rest. They dismissed the maids that were tidying up the place. Once the door was locked, two royal guards immediately blocked the door from the outside.
Zenia changed her clothes and chose something comfortable, and she removed her face veil. Vaughn removed his mask and put it on the table. He was thinking about whether to change his clothes or not, but he decided not to in the end.
"I think I already like that Doctor Odessa even though I have yet to meet her." Zenia smiled at Vaughn.
"She's my nanny's niece. I heard that she grew up with my nanny, she should be good."
"I still have some lessons to complete with my teacher, don't I?"
Vaughn gave Zenia a puzzled looked and asked, "You really want to spend time with the Baroness?"
Zenia nodded, "Don't you?"
Vaughn sighed and explained, "Even though I respect her highly, I really don't like to hang around with her. I still shudder whenever I see her."
"Why? She's fun to be with." Zenia chuckled lightly.
"Are you being sarcastic right now or is that your true sentiment?"
Zenia looked at Vaughn with angry eyes. "My teacher is good. Why do you keep giving me a feeling that she's someone pretentious? She is one of the best teachers that I had, and she teaches well."
Vaughn already had a good grasp of Zenia's personality. Instinct was telling him to stop while everything was still within a manageable stage. He would be in trouble the moment she exploded.
"Don't get me wrong. She had been my nanny for a long time, and I like her a lot."
"Really?"
"I swear."
"It's good to know that you like my teacher, humph."
Vaughn pulled Zenia closed to him and hugged her as they lied down on their bed.
"So, tomorrow you will begin to work in the kitchen?"
"Uhmm."
"We won't be spending the same amount of time as we do now, I suppose."
"Yeah, but it will only take a week at the most."
"I feel like I'm missing you already just thinking that we won't see each other as often as we used to."
"We can still be together at night."
Vaughn fell silent and wondered if it was the best time to discuss it.
"Zenzen, we are husband and wife for real. Have you thought about when is the best time to consummate our marriage? I have been thinking since we had that kind of discussion. I know that we can't right now, but I'm a man too Zenzen. I may be lacking the experience , but I can't deny that I have biological needs."
Zenia did not say anything – she was blushing. She buried her face in Vaughn's chest. Since he already brought up the subject, Vaughn had decided that there was no turning back. He must know her answer.
"I know that, but I'm not yet ready even if we are not dealing with the Left Minister. I don't want to reason that we can't because we still need to end this problem first. I'm still not ready, Vaughn. Can you wait for a bit more?"
Vaughn's heart skipped a beat. It was the first time that Zenia called him by his name. It had always been Big Brother Vaughn, Your Highness, and Crown Prince. She called him hubby and Vaughn Pernell, but it felt different when she called him by his first name Vaughn.
Vaughn lifted Zenia's chin and made her face him. He lowered his head and kissed her lips.
"I will wait for you when you are ready. I want it to be something memorable for both of us to cherish."
Zenia hugged Vaughn tightly and whispered in his ear, "Thank you."

Zander received Zekiah's message and read it right away. It got him so mad that he nearly crumpled the letter. He read the report that his men had sent him along with the letter.
He could no longer take it and roared, "Deploy Zenzen's private army, NOW!"
