Chapter 270 - What Happened Before the Arrest (Part 2)

Zenia changed into her uniform and went to meet Redivo in the study. She also called for Lewis and Doctor Hugo to attend to the wounded soldiers.

When Zenia walked out of their bed-chamber, the guards in front of the study almost did not recognize her. She had an imposing aura of a formidable General around her. No, to be more precise, she had the aura of someone who had face countless battles and emerged as the victor.

"Crown Princess!" The two guards stood in attention.

"At ease. Is Redivo inside?"

"Yes, Your Highness."

"Hmm. Have someone fetch Jorick and Duke Gordon here."

"Yes, Your Highness."

Zenia pushed open the door. Redivo and Ruvin were looking at what seemed to be a diagram. They did not even turn their heads, as if they were already expecting Zenia to come.

"You're here Zenzen, come and take a look at this," Ruvin spoke without looking at her.

"Elder brother, you're also here. I thought you will be spending more time with Father."

"Master will be busy for a while," Ruvin turned around and gasped.

It was the first time that he had seen Zenia in her official Ishelon Military Unit uniform. He walked to her and turned her around.

"Wow, you look more dashing than me, younger sister. No wonder you can snatch the hearts of the young ladies wherever you go. Now I believe what General Higgs and the rest were talking back then. They said they were reluctant to bring you along in places where beautiful ladies would frequent."

"Enough chit-chat, what's the situation? Did you find out where the Left Minister's men are stationed?"

Redivo pointed to the diagram on the table. It was actually a map of Tissuria.

"As you can see, we successfully located the stations where the Left Minister's men are posted."

"Do you know the man named Azer? Where is he?"

Redivo had no idea why Zenia was looking for a man named Azer. If Vaughn heard it, wouldn't he be jealous? Redivo had a complicated expression on his face.

"What are you thinking?" Zenia seemed to guess what was on his mind, "That man Azer is the leader of the Dark Magic faction of his master. He's also responsible for bringing in the Left Minister's secret soldiers in Tissuria. I bet he used the teleportation spell."

"That word again. What is this teleportation? Ruvin has been blabbering about it since he arrived. He said they came here after less than an hour from the Principality of Ismund because they teleported."

"It's true! You just don't believe me."

Zenia sighed. She did not want to be the one to go between the brothers, but it was a crucial mission.

"It's true. Azer knows how to get a person from one place to the other in a blink of an eye. It's called teleportation. The ones being teleported do not need to ride a super-fast vehicle to get to their destination. Azer is using magic to do that. I'm sure that Jorick and the Young Duke worked together to teleport Big Brother and the rest here."

"Yes, that's right."

Redivo looked at Zenia and Ruvin like he was looking at a couple of demented youths. Why was youth wasted on the young? He shook his head, and Zenia saw it. She did not want to waste time explaining things to him.

"So, where is Azer?"

Redivo knew that Zenia wanted to change their topic and get on with their real business. He pointed out the location of the Left Minister's men including Azer's station. She thought that Azer was the only one who knew the teleportation spell. She believed that Azer was not generous enough to share his knowledge among his peers.

After a few minutes, Duke Gordon and Jorick entered the study. Both of them were stunned when they saw Zenia in uniform. If they had doubts before about Zenia's position in the Ishelon army, all of it was erased immediately.

"What do you want us to do… Junior Commander?" Jorick thought that it was more appropriate to address her that way.

Redivo frowned. Their guest seemed to be putting more importance on the title of the Junior Commander than the Crown Princess. He looked at Zenia once more and changed his thoughts. Zenia's image was far from being a Crown Princess.

"Can you teleport some men to Azer's location? We need to capture him to stop them from teleporting."

Jorick and Duke Gordon looked at each other.

"We need to come along too if we need to do the teleportation. Besides, your men might not be able to subdue Azer. I can stop him from using his magic," Jorick suggested, and Duke Gordon nodded in agreement.

"Young Madam, we need to go now if we are going to do it. Who are the ones we are going to take with us?"

'Young Madam? These people really are…'

Redivo could not believe the way they addressed Zenia. Even Ruvin called her younger sister.

"How about Ruvin and me? I want to see how this teleportation works." Zenia's eyes sparkled when she asked.

She did not want war, but it did not mean that she disliked kicking ass. There were about fifty men in Azer's station.

"Only you and Sir Ruvin? There are at least fifty men there. We know how to fight, but we are not that skilled in fighting," Jorick protested.

"Don't worry, with me around no one will dare touch a hair on your heads."

Zenia knew that it was useless to argue with Ruvin when he was boasting. But, it was true that he could protect Jorick and the Young Duke.

'Let's see who gets the most number of kills,' Zenia thought to herself.

"Can you teleport others to go to different stations as well?"

"Yes, I can do that. But, it takes so much energy to do it."

"Hmm. Let's get Azer first and think about the others later after we get back. Anyway, some of the men are still being treated for their wounds. Do we need to go somewhere to perform the teleportation?"

"We can use the huge dining hall," Ruvin suggested with all enthusiasm.

'Is teleportation that great? How come this fool looks so excited?'

Redivo became curious and wanted to try it as well, but he knew that he had other more important things to do.

"Let's go to the dining hall."

Zenia and Ruvin prepared themselves for teleportation once they reached the dining hall. Zenia adjusted her sword and checked her dagger.

"Are you ready?"

Everyone nodded and Jorick performed the spell with Duke Gordon's guidance.

Bzzzt! Bzzzt!

The dining hall became empty. No one would suspect that there were four people there a moment ago.

Zekiah prepared to go to the Main Palace as well. He kept the evidence in the inside pocket of his coat. None of Damien's men were there, and soon everyone in the Left Minister's faction would be subdued or eliminated. Zekiah smirked while enjoying the ride to the Main Palace.

'The Left Minister has no idea what is waiting for him.'

* * * * *

Zenia and her companions had teleported successfully to where Azer was standing – in the middle of the secret soldiers.

Everyone was startled when Zenia and the gang suddenly appeared out of nowhere. None of them uttered a word.

"Well, this is something unexpected. You're spot on!" Zenia tapped Jorick's shoulder and drew her sword quickly while the enemies were still distracted.

Jorick created a protective shield, which could only hold two people. Ruvin joined Zenia in the fight. Azer took cover and forgot that he too could just create a protective shield to keep himself safe.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

The sounds of clashing metals reverberated in the air. One by one the enemy went down like chopped down trees. They could not match Ruvin's speed, and Zenia's opponents did not have the opportunity to realize when she had managed to go behind them.

Azer had decided to hide in the hollow of a tree. There was too much blood. The ground turned crimson quickly in just a few minutes. The stench of blood was assaulting his nose. He puked and puked until he reached the tree.

Zenia pulled out her dagger when she saw someone was going to slash down Ruvin.

Swoosh!

The dagger hit the enemy's throat, and he fell dead on the spot.

Ruvin looked at Zenia and nodded his head. She slashed her sword across her opponent's chest and ran quickly to retrieve her dagger. She bent and pulled the dagger to shake it clean when she saw a reflection on it. She attacked the enemy with her dagger and punched him in the face. She looked slim, but her punches were powerful.

It was the first time that Duke Gordon and Jorick saw Zenia engage in a battle. Her swordsmanship was impeccable, and she moved like she was dancing on air. Duke Gordon confirmed once more that the figure they saw flew out the window that night was indeed the Young Madam.

Zenia lost count of her trophy, but it didn't matter anymore. The important thing was that they eliminated the threat. She turned around and saw Azer hiding inside the hollow of a tree. He was covering his ears with his hands. He was trembling in fear.

Zenia yanked him out and threw him in front of Jorick and Duke Gordon. Jorick quickly used a restraining spell to bind Azer's dark magic power.

Zenia and Ruvin surveyed the area first to make sure that every enemy was eliminated. There was a nearby quicksand, and they threw in all the dead bodies.

After that, Jorick asked, "What now?"

"Let's go back."

Just like before, they prepared to be teleported. Azer could do nothing but shut up and wait for what would happen to him.
