Chapter 294 - Honeymoon (Part 3)

Zenia was aware of what was happening with Vaughn's body. It seemed like she would not be able to escape. She had to face their predicament head-on. She would love to be intimate with him, but she was traumatized by the pain. She had been slashed, had fallen off the horse, and even caught in a fire. But, nothing had prepared her for that painful first time.

She sighed and put her arms around Vaughn's neck and whispered, "Let's do this."

"W-What?" Vaughn blushed so hard that his face turned deep red.

"Don't make me repeat myself!" Zenia was blushing too.

Vaughn flashed a mischievous smile and carried her to their bedroom, "As you wish, Your Highness."

The door closed gently on its own after they entered the bedroom. After a few minutes, m.o.a.ning sounds and soft whimpers reverberated in the room. The scent of love filled the air as the two became one flesh.

Vaughn became gentler indeed, and his every move showed how much he valued Zenia's feelings. Whenever he could feel that she was wincing in pain, he would slow down and would try to make her feel at ease. He knew that she was feeling uncomfortable, but she was trying her best to cooperate with him.

Zenia had mixed feelings. It was painful yet pleasurable at the same time. She wanted it and did not want it at the same time. She was conflicted but felt relieved when she heard Vaughn m.o.a.ned. According to the book that she read, it was natural for men and women to let out seductive m.o.a.ns during the process.

She did not know exactly how long it took them to finish their second union, but Zenia was too exhausted to even complain. She fell asleep immediately. Vaughn smiled and planted a kiss on Zenia's lips. He felt something again but was able to restrain himself. He was getting the knack of doing it.

He got up and got dressed. He went outside the bedroom and left the door open. It was already passed lunchtime. He saw the dishes on the table and got a plate and spoon to sample one of them. His eyes sparkled with interest and sat down. He was very hungry. He scooped some more and ate with gusto.

He looked at the direction of their bedroom and thought about waking Zenia up to join him for lunch. He finished the food on his plate and decided to wait for her to wake up. He would join her for lunch by then.

He looked around the house and felt its warmth. The house seemed to have been built for them. He liked the interior design, and he could tell that Zenia loved the spacious kitchen. He imagined the little ones playing around while Zenia was preparing their meal. It was such a beautiful sight even though he could only see it in his mind.

Zenia agreed to have five children, but he could already see seven of them playing around. He could even hear the sound of laughter in the garden. The sounds were so vivid that he believed they were real. He could hear the creaking sound of the swing and knew that one or two were playing with it.

He knew that Zenia wanted a simple, ordinary family, but that would be impossible for them. He did not want to give her up. He wished he could find someone to replace him as the next King of Tissuria. At that moment, he could not think of anyone suitable for the position.

His Second Brother was the best candidate, and Vaughn believed that Renard had the makings of a good ruler. However, Renard was not interested in the throne. Ever since he lost the only woman he had ever loved, he wanted to spend his days with nothing to worry about. For Renard, marrying someone for the sake of gaining a powerful ally was not a good thing.

Blag!

Vaughn stood up quickly and went to their room.

"Ouch!"

He saw Zenia massaging her waist and did not realize that her n.a.k.e.d body was exposed. Vaughn felt hot suddenly and grabbed the blanket to cover her.

"What happened?"

Zenia looked at him almost teary-eyed.

"I turned and fell."

He tried his best to suppress his laughter and helped her to the bathroom.

"I will wait for you in the dining room. I will set the table and let's eat."

"Hmm," Zenia was still a bit sleepy.

Vaughn closed the door when he went out and began setting the table. Zenia's eyes widened when she finally realized that she was totally n.a.k.e.d. She wanted to scream, but it was too late for that. If only she could stay in the bathroom forever. Suddenly, her stomach grumbled. She was helpless against her hungry stomach.

She washed herself up as fast as she could. She covered herself with a towel when she went out of the bathroom. She picked a light, fluffy dress to wear. It was already around two in the afternoon, and the sun was scorchingly hot.

Vaughn felt her light footsteps when she opened the door. He just finished setting up the table.

He smiled when he saw his wife, "Come, let's eat."

He pulled a chair next to him and tapped it twice. Zenia sat down, and Vaughn began filling her plate with food. Her stomach grumbled even more as if telling her to hurry up and eat.

"Do you like it?" Zenia asked Vaughn while they were eating.

"Everything you make is always delicious. I bet Chief Elder demanded more portions today."

"Yeah."

They both laughed, and the awkwardness that Zenia thought might occur did not have a chance to make things difficult for them. They talked like they used to, and the only difference was that Vaughn was actively saying his thoughts regarding the family they would raise. They even began to think of the names of their children.

"I want Zeke, Zander, Ovid, Voltaire, and Reinard for boys. We can have Ria, Mina, Dessa, Agnes, and Thilda for girls."

Vaughn's eye twitched when he heard the names that Zenia had in mind. He learned that his wife was truly not the same as most women. She did not give some thoughts when naming their children.

"Why did you come up with ten names?"

"We might have five boys or five girls. It's better if we are prepared."

"Among the names you have given, I don't think I know anyone named Voltaire in your circle," Vaughn was a feeling a bit anxious and jealous.

He was thinking whether Zenia met a man named Voltaire once and actually liked him.

"Silly," Zenia tapped Vaughn's nose lightly and continued, "I got the name Voltaire from Thunderbolt."

Vaughn could not believe that she even included her most beloved horse's name in the choices.

"What if our child learned that he got his name from a horse?"

"He would be delighted. I knew someone in Ishelon who named their son after their dog."

Vaughn shook his head and decided that he would be in charge of naming their children. He did not want his children to experience something stressful at an early age.

They continued having a light conversation and enjoyed each other's company. Back in Ishelon, the people in the Anisen Manor were celebrating the good news of Odessa's pregnancy. The doctor said that it was still early to detect the possible gender of the baby. The Anisens did not try to conceal the news to Zenia, who would only learn about it when Odessa was about to deliver the baby. It simply slipped their minds.

Inside the temple in Shadora, Chief Elder was truly satisfied with the dishes that Zenia had prepared. He was still savoring the unique flavor in his mind even though he had eaten it before lunchtime.

"Tomorrow, give the madam the same amount of ingredients but with totally different meat. Let's see what she would prepare."

Chief Elder was already looking forward to the next day for a new set of dishes. The Lead Maid was lost for words at the brazenness of Chief Elder. She thought that the dishes he ate earlier would be the last time that Chief Elder would ask for his portion.

The Lead Maid and the rest of the people in the temple enjoyed their lunch. They were treated to another day of a gastronomical feast. The Madam was indeed a talented cook. If she would open a restaurant in Shadora, Chief Elder would be her loyal customer. Any establishment that Chief Elder had endorsed would surely attain success.

Before they know it, the day turned into night. They just talked about the places that they would visit next after Shadora. They both knew that they would not be able to enjoy such a vacation again when they returned to Tissuria.

"Zenzen about the suggestion in the book…" Vaughn began and Zenia caught what he was hinting at.

"I know. I admit that it was less painful," she blushed, and it did not escape Vaughn's eyes.

The moon shone brightly and the moment was right. The lovers let their feelings guide them. Vaughn even discovered foreplay on his own. Zenia's body gave a beautiful response, and Vaughn took advantage of it. He led her through the storm, and their bodies swayed along with the passionate rhythm and the beating of their hearts. They simultaneously reached the peak of exaltation as if their bodies were communicating in secret.

Zenia was too tired, but Vaughn was at it again after resting for half an hour. She could not fathom where he got that energy, but every part of her body that Vaughn had touched felt as if it was on fire. She craved for his touch even more, and she nearly went insane from pleasure when he penetrated her. It was more pleasurable now than painful.

The book was indeed helpful, and the words of the doctor were all true. It no longer hurt the more they did it. When Vaughn wanted to go for the nth time, Zenia stopped him.

"Let's stop for now. It doesn't feel painful, and I'm so tired."

They both graduated from the blushing stage and feeling awkward phase each time they perform their act of intimacy. Vaughn kissed Zenia on her lips and hugged her.

"Let's go to sleep," he whispered.

After some time, he could hear Zenia snoring lightly. He chuckled and confirmed that she was really exhausted. He gently lifted the blanket and got up. He wore a robe and went to sit on a chair. He was too elated at the turn of events that he could hardly sleep.

He picked the book and read further. He noticed the reminder at the end of the book. It said:

"For first-timers, you can do it once or twice every night until it no longer hurts. You may need to consult your doctor if the pain persists. Chances are, there's a health issue that either of you must solve first."

Vaughn gasped and almost choked from trying to suppress his laughter. They both thought that they need to do it several times in one night for the pain to subside. He tore off the page where the reminder was written and hoped that Zenia would not notice anything odd with the book. In the end, he had decided to keep the book and never let her see it again. That would be the last secret that he would keep from her.
