The next morning, a thick layer of white fog covered up the scenery outside and the glass window with white mist. The weather had cooled down, and the strong gusts of wind blew by.

On the first floor of the villa, Fu Cheng’s figure could be seen walking back and forth, and after a while, he heard some movement downstairs at the bottom of the stairs, and realised that Shen Yi had gotten up.

Wearing a black T-shirt with the school uniform’s jacket in his hand, the shower left his hair wet, he tousled them around while heading downstairs to sit at the dining table, before picking up the hot porridge handed to him by Fu Cheng.

“How come you woke up so late? Did you drink too much last night?” Fu Cheng said.

He had stayed over at Shen Yi’s place several times before, and every time Shen Yi went downstairs early in the morning for a morning run, and by the time Fu Cheng got up, he had already come back from his run.

“Your bed is too comfortable.” Shen Yi said.

Fu Cheng smiled: “You can come over often if you like it.”

“You’re soliciting guests.” Shen Yi quipped, he looked at Fu Cheng with a smile, “Shouldn’t I give you some room fees?”

Fu Cheng stretched out his hand: “I’ll give you a discount, just eight hundred.”

Shen Yi flicked his palm with his fingers: “That’s plain robbery.”

Fu Cheng laughed, his eyes crooked.

Shen Yi lowered his head and took a spoon to eat the porridge, “Your brother left?”

“Yup, went out around six o’clock.” After Fu Cheng finished speaking, he paused for two seconds and muttered again, “He didn’t even eat breakfast.”

Shen Yi lowered his head and stirred the light shrimp porridge in the bowl and said, “Maybe he had something to do?”

So, he was avoiding him?

After the meal, the two put on their school uniforms and went to school together. Fu Cheng’s family has a driver specifically assigned to pick and drop him off, which was much more convenient, and the two arrived at school just in time for the morning reading.

Shen Yi sat down in his seat, he walked all the way from the school gate, jogged a few steps halfway, his body felt a little hot, so he pulled the zipper of his school uniform down.

The students in the class were all busy with their own work, some writing test papers, some reading books and some reading English, and some who were catching up on sleep with their heads on top of the table, a male classmate and a girl at Shen Yi’s front table changed positions such that it became two girls sitting together. They held their books and started talking.

“How much did you score in English last time?”

“106, last English test’s question were so difficult.”

“I think math is a little harder. How about you tell me with math, and I’ll help you with English.”

“Okay, are you coming to my house after school?”

“I really thought he wouldn’t pay any attention to us.” Another girl said.

“I told you he has a good temper.”

In class, Shen Yi was the closest to Fu Cheng, he was only close to some boys that he played with during the weekdays. He was good-looking, has good grades, is tall, handsome and clean. Thus, in the eyes of girls this age, he was a figure only to be admired from a distance.

Shen Yi, who lent out his test paper did not study, instead he lowered his head and took out his mobile phone from his pocket, but realised there was no new notifications on his phone.

He clicked on Fu Yuhe’s private number he had saved last time, typed a few words, but before he could send it out, Fu Cheng came over, knocked his arm with his elbow, he turned his head to look over and saw Fu Cheng sitting next to him, diligently memorising the words correctly.

He continued to type with his head down.

[Brother Fu, I didn’t manage to say goodbye to you in the morning, and staying over at your house last night must have caused you trouble.]

Polite and reserved.

After the message was sent out, Shen Yi closed his mobile phone with satisfaction, and his elbow was knocked again.

“What…” Shen Yi asked while looking up, stopping before he finished speaking.

He saw a figure standing not far from Fu Cheng’s left side. The head teacher held his teacup for who-knows-how-long, lowered his head and took a sip from the steaming tea, before directly looking at him.

Fu Cheng: “Come with me, I’ll get the driver to send you back… No, it’s not safe for you to live alone, or you can live in my house first!”

His gaze grew resolute.

Shen Yi looked at him lovingly.

Good brother.

He laughed: “It’s okay, thee is no need to be so serious, they can’t stop me.”

Taking advantage of such a simple person… He felt very guilty.

When school ended in the afternoon, Shen Yi took back his mobile phone, and the message he sent to Fu Yuhe in the morning had received a reply. Fu Yuhe replied, with only three words – [You’re welcome.]

More alienated and polite than him, just like a scumbag who picks up his pants after the deed is done and forgets it ever happened.

He didn’t go to the “old place” that Xu Fanchao mentioned, instead went straight home. The next day, during recess, he met Xu Fanchao in the corridor of the teaching building. The other party only glanced at him coldly, but did not say anything anymore.

He wanted to find trouble but couldn’t. Shen Yi’s lived a very monotonous life. Every day he took the bus to go back and didn’t stay behind. Xu Fanchao’s people have followed Shen Yi on the bus twice, and each time after arriving at the station, when Shen Yi got off the bus, they either couldn’t squeeze out of the bus faster, or they will lose track of Shen Yi after a couple of turns.

The weather was getting colder, and near the end of the month, Shen Yi wanted to change houses, so he asked Fu Cheng if there is a suitable one around, and Fu Cheng said that he’ll help him pay attention.
