Chapter 129 - Turn The Tables

Chapter 129: Chapter 30 Turn The Tables

The four names suddenly came out from Crowlie’s mouth, and Zach’s forward body suddenly stopped, and her flat arm could pierce her body with one more step!

“What did you say?” Zach asked coldly.

Crowlie’s blue eyes slowly narrowed, and her gaze followed the fingertip stained with the blood of the vampire that represented immortality until it met with Zach’s red eyes.

“Hank, Louise, Matthew.” Crowlie’s squinted eyes slightly curved, looking at Zach’s increasingly cold face. Knowing the members of the Grande family was nothing special, but the important thing was that among the members of the Grande family, there was a Daniel! That Tulpa who was left with a big burden by the vampire at will! That poor guy who was supposed to be dragged to hell long ago in the vampire speculation!

Zach and Benjamin looked at each other across Crowlie, who was caught in the middle. The two frowned at the same time. Alpha’s fluffy face and the center of his forehead had already been wrinkled.

“Where are your loyal dogs.” The vampire asked coldly.

Crowlie carefully bypassed the pincer attack and walked to the side, feeling the short darkness before the real night fell, “Didn’t you already guess it? They are all in Gran, oh no, in your house!”

The redness in the vampire’s eyes flickered, and his eyes moved with Crowlie.

“Do you want me to tell you about the current situation?” Crowlie smiled and flicked a finger, and another chair flew behind her. Straight snow-white legs crossed in front of her, a gray bandage hung dangerously on her thin waist; Crowlied leaned her body sideways.

“I am impressed by the Shape-shifter Jim, he seems to be suppressed. Oh.” Crowlie raised her eyebrows. “He broke his tail and came out of the collapsed warehouse. Not bad, not bad.”

Zach’s eyes grew colder.

“It’s a pity, this black witch, Alice, she seems to be very unfamiliar with spells. After the witchcraft notebook was knocked into the air, she could only hide in the arms of that beautiful woman and cry. Louise, right? After entering hell, souls will not die or dissipate, so the banshee’s ability will be useless.”

James’ fingers clasped the back of the chair, and he was shocked that Anthony’s back was already completely wet!

“That Ryan, what is he? Earthbound Spirit? Why does his soul have a trace of being tampered with? Without the blood of the Inan, but he could still use witchcraft? Did he rely on witchcraft to preserve his soul? Interesting, but his witchcraft talent seems to be very bad, and now with only a touch from my loyal dogs, his soul would dissipate.”

The furs around Benjamin’s body has begun to disappear. The direction of the conversation was already predictable.

“Daniel, Daniel, Daniel.” Crowlie repeated the name of the Tulpa that gave her the opportunity to turn the tables, her hand resting on her lips, and she chuckled, “He is only a thin line away from becoming a wandering soul.”

“Hank, Matthew?” Crowlie shook her head, “An old man, and a young wolf who knows nothing…”

Crowlie did not continue to repeat it. This kind of darkness would not last long. Before the light of the moon and the stars enveloped the earth, she had to force the other party to make an agreement with herself!

Crowlie raised three fingers, “Being dragged into hell by my loyal dogs. Or we reached an agreement to stay in this city together.”

‘Stay together’? This was a very conservative condition. Based on this, it could develop countless possibilities! Its only restraint was not to kill each other! This was what Crowlie needed most, but it was not what Barton needed most. Barton needed a demon that could be restrained. This was the only way for Barton to stay the same when the gate of hell was opened.

Crowlie put one finger down, and Benjamin stared at Zach, his eyes seeming to be conveying something.

Then the second finger. Zach looked back at Anthony with a hint of apology on his face. He then looked at James, there was no useful information in the eyes of this general’s son.

When the third finger was half curled up.

“Grande, agrees.” Zach looked back at Crowlie. As soon as the voice fell, moonlight spread to the ground.

Crowlie smiled and turned her head, her snow-white elbows resting on the armrests, her delicate chin resting on the back of her fingers, “Don’t be so pessimistic, at least I agree with what you said before.”

But Zach just shook his head, Barton lost the initiative, and it was meaningless now. Crowlie was not an ordinary demon, but a fallen angel, just like the immortal body of the vampire who was from the same belief system, her soul was immortal. Even if one day, the vampire reneged and sent Crowlie back to hell, those who came up again would never reach a new agreement with Barton City.

Anthony took a deep breath, patted the armrest, and kept shaking his head, “Stay? This is your condition”

Crowlie’s gaze fell on Barton’s Mayor, who had been sitting since the beginning. “Does the mayor have anything to say?”

Anthony glanced at Crowlie, who was also sitting, and the impatience in his eyes was very obvious. “Zach, how many corpses did Grande’s mill burn this week?”

The corners of Zach’s eyebrows moved slightly, and the vampire was relieved; Anthony actually found a new way!

“Eighteen.”

Demon Crowlie’s eyelashes trembled.

“I mean the people who just died, not those that were dug out from the graves.” Anthony asked again.

Zach looked at the mayor he elected with a smile, “Mayor, I understand what you mean. There were eighteen corpses with Soul Connections. Ten of them were the people that just died, four of the other eight corpses belonged to hell, and the other four had their souls pointing to–” Zach pointed upwards.

The vampire was talking nonsense! The mill has always been managed by Madison, which was me! I didn’t know anything except my hair was a bit special! How could it possible that I could see the soul connection on those bodies!

Anthony nodded, “I heard that the church will be closed for renovation one by one due to accidents. I am afraid that the number of corpses transferred to cremation will increase in the future.”

“Thank you for your concern.” Zach smiled and nodded, “Of course the burial business on the Grande Funeral Home has also been very good recently. As the owner of the only Funeral Home that provides burial service in Barton, I would like to thank the mayor again for his help.”

Anthony waved his hand, “That’s good, but it’s best to keep more people at home in the future, otherwise you will be restrained when you pay back the favor, which is really annoying.”

“Mhm, I think so too, but…”

“Enough!” Crowlie finally couldn’t help it, and interrupted the conversation that had begun to develop into small talk, “I understand your message! What do you want!”

After a soul was separated from the body, it still had to rely on the connection to the body to exist in this world. During the time of becoming an earthbound spirit, the soul’s belief would determine whether it would go up or down. The duration of this process varied from people to people. Some would be very long, so much so that it would last until their bodies could not maintain the connection to their souls. Then without having a place to go to, those souls would dissipate. Some would be very short, so short that it was like a split second. For example, those who believed in the doctrine of the Holy Lord would go straight to hell after committing suicide.

Cremation would burn the connection between the body and the soul, which meant that if your soul hadn’t found out where it belonged before the cremation was carried out, it would only disappear.

Cremation was popular in this era, hell and even heaven needed to find a new method to collect souls. What method was easier than cooperating with the funeral industry? Not to mention that there were still souls that had connections to heaven and the only burial cemetery in Barton! The gate of hell had been closed for more than ten years, they needed to find out what happened above during this time.

However, poor Crowlie seemed to have completely ruined all her impressions in the eyes of the members of the Grande family.
