Chapter 309 The Assembly of Freedom’s Counterattack
Chapter 309: The Assembly of Freedom's Counterattack
"Since when?" Friedrich felt confused. He might not have been by Melisa's side all this time, but he has never seen her do anything suspicious that would make him suspect that she's secretly a traitor. Moreover, Natasha and the others are also with her almost every single day, so they would have reported to him a long time ago if ever Melisa was doing something behind their backs.
Needless to say, there's the possibility that Melisa has been doing wicked stuff way before she officially became a member of the Green Horn Knights.
Melisa chuckled as she hopped to stand alongside the five other members of Circus, "Ever since I entered 'The Bridge',"
That's right, Melisa has been a member of Circus from the moment she entered 'The Bridge'. After all, she is one of their founding members.
"Why go through all of that trouble when you could have just killed Old Mayor George right from the start?" Friedrich was still not satisfied with Melisa's response.
"You'll understand in the future," Melisa turned around to face the portal. "When that time comes, I hope to see all of you still alive,"
Whoosh!
Melisa along with the five men entered the portal and disappeared.
Before Friedrich and the others could follow after, the portal closes and also disappeared. As a result, the outflow of reinforcement from the Assembly of Freedom finally stopped.
Despite that...
"Damn it!" Friedrich cursed out loud.
"I think we have another problem to worry about right now," Roshan patted Friedrich's shoulder to pull the latter out of his emotions.
At this moment, all of them are surrounded by the countless reinforcement from the Assembly of Freedom after they carelessly and thoughtlessly charged deep inside into their formation.
However, it wasn't really considered that big of a problem for them considering that their group can easily dominate all of these people. Just that it is quite troublesome to deal with their numerical advantage. To be exact, since they are far away from the main battlefield right now, they'll have to go through a sea of people from the Assembly of Freedom in order to return.
"Untie Natasha and the others first," Friedrich ordered as he motioned his hand for everyone to retreat close to where the portal originally was placed. There was still a stone structure left by the portal which they can use as a cover.
Fortunately, Melisa didn't do anything to Natasha and the others and simply left them behind.
Their main objective was probably only to try and assassinate Old Mayor George, and since they've already done that, albeit they failed in the end since Friedrich was able to hinder Melisa from proceeding any further, they didn't want to do anything in case it will affect their plan.
"How careful," Kayn can't help saying in a remark at the realization. The way Melisa and the members of Circus operated didn't leave room for any errors in their plan.
This is exactly how professionals do things, not the same as Chief Kylo and the members of the Assembly of Freedom who exhibits foolishness and ignorance.
Quick, precise, and goal-oriented with no signs of inexperience, hesitation, and cowardice. That is what Melisa did just now.
Meanwhile, because of the temporary absence of Kayn's group and the Green Horn Knights, and more importantly Old Mayor George being seriously injured, it causes the Green Horn City's side to slightly become disoriented as the three Chiefs took temporary command of the battlefield.
However, because the three Chiefs are almost fully engrossed in fighting against the leaders of the three Brigades, they can only occasionally give orders to the respective leaders of their army.
"Where exactly are they?!" Chief Kash exclaimed loudly. n(-O/-v--e(-L-)b/.I/-n
"No idea!" Chief Harlem shook his head.
"Shit! This is suddenly going very bad for us!" Chief Perceval swore.
"Just like what we expected," Moei smiled widely.
"I know right!" Marlon nodded in delight.
"Care to explain to me what just happened?" Garvin was still confused by the situation. It was out of his imagination that one of the members of the Green Horn Knights, a squad leader on top of that, would suddenly betray and attack Old Mayor George.
"Circus happened,"
"Circus?" Garvin was surprised. He instantly realized the third party that attacked the Dream Dungeon last night was most likely Circus. As for what exactly they are doing there, he doesn't know.
"Anyways, let's take advantage of the situation and defeat them,"
"Alright," Garvin felt conflicted. As of this moment, Kayn's proposal is still stuck inside his mind. He wants to accept the proposal, but there's the question of whether Kayn could even survive this war or not. After all, Circus has finally decided to involve themselves. "I shouldn't underestimate him,"
"Underestimate who,"
"No one," Garvin dismissed the topic and decided to focus on dealing against the three Chiefs.
Without wasting any time, Garvin, Moei, and Marlon attacked Chief Kash, Chief Harlem, and Chief Perceval.
The clash between six powerhouses of 'The Bridge' shook the entire battlefield and causes the people nearby to get implicated in the mess.
Continuous shockwaves shook the sky, parting the dark clouds lingering up above everyone's head in the process. Simultaneously, the land shook causing cracks to appear on the ground and splitting the nearby earth into pieces.
It was devastating and destructive.
The force was more than enough to destroy everything that stands in the way of its assault, whether they are allies or foes, living or non-living, Heroes or Villains.
Boom!
A loud explosion echoed loudly as Chief Harlem got blasted away toward the wall of the Dream Village, the impact created a wide crater on the surface with him at the center.
It didn't take that long for Chief Kash and Chief Perceval to follow after, one being blasted to the moat while the other to the marshland to the west of the battlefield.
Without hesitation and in hopes of taking complete advantage of the situation, Moei, Marlon, and Garvin decided to follow through and not wait until the three Chiefs could get back on their feet and pull themselves together.
Boom!
Bang!
This time, the Green Horn City was at a complete disadvantage against the Assembly of Freedom.
