Chapter 61 - Burning rage

Su Yin reached Z city for the conference her father, Su Boying had forced her to attend.

He had even bribed her a month long vacation, Seeing that the odds were in her favor Su Yin heeded to her father's request.

Su Yin was collecting her luggage at the airport when her eyes landed on a familiar figure, the man she couldn't forget even in her dreams was just a few feet away from her.

Su Yin couldn't believe herself, the man she yearned for was finally in front of her but she couldn't get him. No matter how and what she tried he would never acknowledge her.

A heavy hearted Su Yin moved ahead dispersing in the crowd.

When Su Yin was in a daze, Adrian had already seen the woman who was haunting him from past few months, the woman he decided to use and forsake, had been getting on his nerves haunting him for life.

When Adrian saw the hurt in her eyes he held himself back and ignored her presence, the moment he turned to look for her she had long gone, leaving him alone. Just like he had once left her alone.

Lucifer was on a call with Ethan informing him about his departure,

"How can you? I thought we were friends!", Ethan bellowed, his frustration reaching his limits.

First Sera now his stupid bestfriend, they're both driving him crazy!

"It's my fight, I have to fight it alone! Anyway I'm just here to gauge the situation not wage a war! Relax, I'm not going to get killed", Lucifer spoke patiently unlike himself, shocking Ethan.

"Fine! Just don't do something stupid and get your ass kicked by that asshole"

"Did you listen to your own words just now? Freaking weirdo!", Lucifer laughed.

Lucifer came back after attending his important call with Ethan and saw Adrian in a daze.

"Dude? Why are you spacing out for?", Lucifer laughed.

"Nothing, let's go", but Adrian just brushed him off earning an odd look followed by a shrug from Lucifer.

The Four Seasons hotel was the exquisite and best among all in Z city. Adrian has always been taking care of Lucifer's needs and was long accustomed to his tastes.

So he chose a hotel matching his personality and status. All high socialites and businessmen stay here and enjoy the luxurious amenities provided by the hotel.

Their hotel room was on 18th floor, they entered the elevator together and reached their hotel rooms.

Lucifer was in room no 1808, Adrian's room was on the 15th floor 1505. So Adrian went back to his room after helping Lucifer settle down and check the security for any possible breach.

Adrian was striding aimlessly when his eyes darted towards a particular silhouette, a lady dresses in beige jumpsuit with pink blazer emerged from the elevator. Her slender figure sauntered towards room no 1507 dragging her luggage lazily.

"Perhaps she is exhausted from lack of sleep", Adrian thought inwardly and waited for Su Yin to enter her room before entering his own room.

Su Yin entered inside her room pushed her luggage to the corner, threw her blazer and jumped on her bed.

Her sluggish eyes were reflecting tiredness and pain. Su Yin still couldn't believe herself, Adrian and she are both in the same city.

A dejected Su Yin closed her reluctant eyes to get some sleep and dozed off leaving all her insecurities behind.

Adrian entered his room feeling elated, he was smiling foolishly knowing that Su Yin was just next door. His heart leaping in his chest. Finally after calming himself he laid on his bed to get some shut eye.

Lucifer in his room was staring unwaveringly at the man in his phone screen, the old yellowing photo from more than 20 years was stored diligently in his phone memory.

Although the man in the photo was young once is probably withering and old now, Lucifer can easily recognize him even today.

In his 27 year old life Lucifer has never been so restless to meet the said man in the photo. The man looked young, his eyes sharp like an eagle eyeing it's prey, thin lips curved in an aloof smile, handsome but cold face.

Lucifer sneered looking at his face, his eyes burning with rage. He was about to throw his phone in a fit when it started ringing.

Lucifer glanced at the screen and his mood became normal, he answered the call with a neutral expression.

Sera has been pondering from past 5 days, she has to face Ethan. For her ambition, her dream, her art gallery Sera had to let go and face Ethan.

So after deliberating for 5 days Sera accepted Ethan's invitation to have lunch with him.

She reached his office dressed professionally, her fine slender legs were covered in black slacks while her petite figure had a pastel blouse, fitting her perfectly.

Sera entered Ethan's office with a folder and sat in front of him, placing the folder on his desk.

Ethan was happy to see her finally after 5 days of persuasion and patience, he had been waiting to meet her from more than a week but she had suddenly shut him out.

Before going on his business trip Ethan had tried to see her but she had been busy, and now after more than a week Sera had come to him on her own accord.

"Hello Mr Lee, I hope I'm not disturbing you", her professional tone shocked Ethan but he nonchalantly nodded at her.

"Good, then I would like to speak to you about the art gallery's location", Sera spoke more resolutely and with no hint of warmth in her tone.

"Let's eat something first", Ethan interrupted her and she couldn't resist him given that, he now held a upper hand.
