Chapter 81 - It's A Painting

Lucifer had a plethora of emotions running through him. When he heard Ethan mention Sera he felt something he couldn't point out, a stifling sensation rose in his chest.

Then Ethan spoke about Sera's education, her major, her interest and her work. Lucifer's eyes dimmed, he felt a pang in his chest, a feeling he never felt before.

Ethan didn't stop just there, he even told him how he was helping Sera find a place for her art gallery. Lucifer couldn't help but feel an agonizing pain in his chest, like someone had dug his heart out.

Lucifer was jealous, yes he was jealous, jealous of Ethan! More than jealousy Lucifer felt anger, he was angered by his own ignorance and actions.

He was feeling bitter seeing how Ethan knew so much about Sera while he didn't even spare a thought to get to know her. Especially when they were both so close to each other and he had all the time in the world to get to know Sera, his Sera.

"I'm such a jerk!", Lucifer cursed himself.

Lucifer clenched his fists in annoyance, he was a fool! He cursed himself inside his head, making a resolve to know Sera deeply and understand her better than anyone else before taking this relationship further. He vowed in his heart to be her only pillar of strength.

"I'll definitely not make mistakes anymore, I can't make any mistakes, I'm Lucifer", Lucifer chided himself.

Lucifer was aware of their fatal attraction and the mindblowing chemistry shared between them. He deeply cared for Sera and her importance in his life is not at all simple. Their whirlwind romance was no joke to him, he wanted them to last forever.

Ethan was feeling uneasy seeing Lucifer keep mum, he was waiting for his answer patiently while Lucifer was in deep thought.

Lucifer's gray eyes flashed akin to rough diamonds shining, an idea popped into his head and he looked at Ethan nodding his head in agreement.

"Great!", Ethan's voice was a bit loud.

Ethan was pleased with Lucifer's answer, a contented smile was etched on his face as he sighed in relief. Ethan and Lucifer chatted briefly about trivial matters before Ethan bid good bye.

Su Yin painted a beautiful scenery with ocean view, a small yacht was sailing in the middle with a couple enjoying sunset on the yacht. It was really romantic unlike Su Yin's normal style of painting.

"Wow! Su Yin it's beautiful..", Sera exclaimed loudly making Su Yin smile awkwardly.

"Oh c'mon, It's not as good as yours", Su Yin spoke softly.

"No! I'm serious, It's perfectly portraying the emotions and it's really beautiful..", Sera held her hand and squeezed lightly.

"Let me see yours..", Su Yin stretched her neck to see Sera's painting.

Sera's painting was a complete opposite of Su Yin's, their emotions and portrayal was in stark contrast.

Sera had painted a fallen angel with broken wings, against the white backdrop the body was in black and gray, the painting was similar to Lucifer's tattoo minus the capital L.

"Wh.. What is this?", Su Yin paled seeing such a dark painting.

"It's a painting, dummy", Sera joked to lighten the atmosphere.

"I.. I know. But why would you paint something like this?", Su Yin asked but Sera remained silent ignoring her and left the room.

Feeling nervous Su Yin followed after her and apologized, but Sera brushed it off saying that it's okay.

Apart from this incident Su Yin and Sera had lots of fun, they even took lots of pictures and sent them to Jinan. After their fun time they had a filling lunch followed by a siesta, exhausted.

Jinan was at a dinner meeting when Sera sent him those pictures, he smiled looking at the pictures striding towards the elevator oblivious to the hungry stares.

Jinan was a very handsome man, albeit manly his features slightly resembling Sera's. His jet black hair were smooth, big brown eyes and reasonably tall.

Jinan went back to his hotel room to rest. He was slightly tipsy after drinking at the dinner and slept soundly.

Xav and Maya were still underground, living like normal citizens of A Country. Xav was an affluent businessman dealing in antiques his identity was mysterious, hence not many knew about him. Influential people like Lucifer were his clients and he wouldn't deal with small frys.

Maya was used to a lowkey life and it didn't affect her lifestyle at all. In fact Maya was happy that she didn't have to entertain those lowlifes at auctions and parties. She was a really simple girl, with hidden talents which Jinan had witnessed himself that night.
