Chapter 113 - Seemingly Credulous Thing

"Hello..", a soft mellifluous voice graced Lucifer's ears, the melody tickling his heart with a million feathers.

Holding his breathe Lucifer clutched onto his beating heart, his gray eyes unable to conceal the jubilation.

If Assistant Xinglei chanced upon this unbelievably cheesy sight of his boss, he'd definitely have a heart attack! Or perhaps dig his own eyes in disbelief..

"Damn! Where was she before? Why didn't I meet her earlier?", his gray eyes akin to rough diamonds twinkling as the thought crossed his mind.

"If only I'd grasped onto her tightly that night, two years ago! I should have known it was her from the beginning..", Lucifer's thoughts were running wild.

"Hello", Sera's anxious voice brought back Lucifer from his stupor.

Her heart growing restless by the second when Lucifer didn't utter a word in response.

"Milady..", Sera subconsciously closed her eyes, her tense self relaxing promptly as his deep voice soothed her uneasy heart.

"Hmm..", Sera hummed softly, her fingers caressing the crystal pendant enhancing her slender neck and delicate clavicle.

"I miss you..", Lucifer blurted out, his voice was low but tense, Sera could sense that something was amiss.

"What's wrong..", Sera's distressed voice sounded at his statement.

As Lucifer heard her question, a smooth chuckle escaped his throat warming Sera's heart,

"This seemingly credulous thing, she can even sense my state of mind!", he thought with a endearing smile on his face.

"Nothing really, I just think we don't spend much time together..", Lucifer honestly stated his concerns.

"Oh!", Sera's reaction was very vague unlike Lucifer's expectations, but he wasn't there to witness the bedazzling smile on her face, her eyes akin to crescents.

"So? Are you free later tonight?", Sera could feel the anticipation in his voice and giggled softly, the bell-like sound mesmerizing Lucifer.

"Yes", Lucifer's heart skipped a beat at her answer.

"Okay, I'll see you later then. Don't forget to wear something warm, it's too cold outside..", Lucifer's reminder brought forth the warm woozy feeling in her heart.

Sera could feel the affection through his caring words and obvious concern, a hint of pink colored her cheeks adding a charm to her already beautiful face.

"Hmm.. You too!", Sera hurriedly hung up on him her face flushed.

Lucifer looked at the dark screen and shook his head, a silly grin pasted on his otherwise blank face.

After speaking with Sera, Lucifer tried calling Adrian but the man didn't answer the phone. Furrowing his eyebrows Lucifer turned back to the documents in hand.

The late morning sun was shining brightly outside, with the sunshine entering through the windows enveloping the entangled individuals inside the room.

"Adrian..", Su Yin murmured against his chest, her eyes darting nervously at his chiseled chest.

The top three buttons of Adrian's blue button up shirt had come undone accidentally exposing a fair amount of flesh that could make anyone salivate.

As Su Yin was forcefully pulled into the bed to snuggle close to his Adonis like body, she was laying still in his embrace while he slept soundly, tolerating the man.

"Hmm..", Adrian grunted his response, his face magnified dangerously close to Su Yin's as she raised her head, his eyes still closed.

Su Yin was still clad in her off shoulder white dress from last night, with her body encircled in his arms Adrian's warm breath tickled her bare shoulders and a shiver crawled her spine.

"Adrian.. It's uncomfortable", Su Yin looked at his fluttering eyelashes, slowly opening his blue eyes Adrian's lips curled into a sexy smirk.

"Let go! It's already morning now.. you should move out of my house!", Su Yin didn't avert her gaze. Listening to her low melodious voice Adrian's eyes darkened.

Su Yin gulped heavily seeing the look in his eyes, waves of emotions could be seen in those oceanic blue orbs.

"Adrian!", Su Yin's shrill scream sounded through his ears, blood almost dripped rendering him deaf but Adrian was fast, he sat up straight still a little groggy.

Su Yin couldn't take it anymore, the intense pressure made her tiny heart flutter and she could only resort to aggressive attitude towards this dangerous devil of a man.

"Yinyin.. Good morning!", Looking at her angry little face Adrian flashed his brilliant smile and cooed softly trying to pacify her.

"Good morning, now please get out of here before I lose patience!", as she spoke Su Yin stretched her neck, it was stiff and uncomfortable.

Adrian observed her actions as he slowly shifted towards her. Su Yin was looking sideways and didn't notice him moving closer to her.

"Adr..", Su Yin swallowed her words back as Adrian's skilled hands landed on her slender neck and shoulders.

Adrian gently moved his hands massaging her sore muscles, a warm light in his eyes as he stared at her tiny frame.

"Aah.. softer softer.. yes!", Su Yin mumbled softly, she was indeed enjoying.

"You didn't sleep on the bed? Eh!", Adrian's sudden question startled her, she couldn't find words to rebut against him and remained silent.

"I knew it!", Adrian was confident as he deduced that she let him sleep on his bed, alone. Su Yin's silence was an affirmation to the obvious fact that she didn't share a bed with him.

Adrian slept peacefully while she tossed and turned on her couch, fully awake throughout the night.

"Good girl! I know you wouldn't eat me even if I serve myself on a silver platter for you!", his expression was unreadable just like his tone of voice, while his eyes dimmed.

"I'll get you breakfast..", Su Yin pushed his hand away and ran into the kitchen, Adrian looked at her running away and sighed.

" Boss", as soon as Su Yin left the room Adrian called Lucifer to report as usual.

"Where are you?", his expression was calm but his voice was cold, Adrian could feel a chill on his back.

"I.. Boss, I'm..", Adrian couldn't find words to explain why he wasn't there beside Lucifer at his office.

"I'll give you a day, resolve everything and return back tomorrow before evening..", Lucifer hung up.

Adrian was overjoyed, he hurriedly jumped out of the bed dashing into the bathroom.
