Chapter 230 - Don't Get So Naggy!

"Hmph! Forget it.. I don't believe that glib tongue of yours. Just to appease me you can spout all sorts of lies..", Sophia Lee rambled without taking into consideration how Lucifer's face was glowing from overflowing happiness and anticipation.

He was eating the peeled apples from the plate on the table across him in relish. There was also a glass of watermelon cooler.

"Huh? I'm serious here Sophia.. Look", he shot her an aggrieved expression with his signature pout extending his hand that was shivering under his long sleeved jacket.

Lucifer was truly anxious about his confession to Sera. What if she rejects him? He couldn't even think about that possibility.

"Oh my!! You're really serious?? My goodness..", she exclaimed holding his hand firmly, her aged voice filled with cheerfulness.

Sophia could literally picture Lucifer carrying her great-grandchildrens. Her eyes twinkling with excitement, a new zeal of life in them.

"Ah~ My heart! Who is the girl? Why haven't you introduced us yet?", she was overjoyed shooting him with questions, he shook his head with a smile.

He tossed the piece of apple in his mouth before straightening himself. He felt something rise in his chest, it felt good.

"I.. I haven't even told her that I love her", he mumbled, his face shadowed with a tinge of guilt.

"Eh? Are you sure you're my grandson!! How can you be so dumb?", she looked at him with scorn, he couldn't help but feel ashamed under her judging gaze.

"Rascal! You'd ramble all kinds of nonsense to me all day. Now when you're supposed to say such sweet things to the girl you love why are you holding back?"

Sophia heaved a heavy sigh, it reflected how worried she was about Lucifer's future and his familial life. Like everyone else she wanted him to have a normal loving family away from all the darkness surrounding him.

"You're right! I, Lucifer, am a shameless man and I shouldn't feel embarrassed expressing my love to the girl of my dreams. Even if I fail today I can still pursue her tomorrow, right! I love you Sophia, thank you so much!!", he was hysterical, her eyes twitched watching him behave like a madman.

"Enough! Stop wasting your time here and get back.. I want you to emerge victorious and bring my grand daughter-in-law with you!", she clapped her hands in glee after finishing the last sentence. His mouth twitched at her words.

Isn't she a tad bit too excited? Lucifer asked himself inwardly.

"Uh? What about food?", a look of disbelief on his face when Sophia shooed him away as if he was no longer wanted anymore.

"You rascal! Brat! You still have the face to think of food right now?", she feigned anger with her stern gaze fixed on his pitiful cutely pouting face. She'd never get enough of his antics.

"Darling Sophia.. You really want to drive me away?", his puppy eyes melted her heart as she burst into laughter. He smiled hugging her shoulder.

Soon the dining table was filled with Lucifer's favorite dishes. Sophia served and fed him with her hands while he enjoyed the rare times when he'd act spoiled.

The brother-sister duo, Lu Jinan and Sera spent their time at a gym cum sports arcade playing indoor tennis and swimming. The duo had a whale of a time as usual.

Lu Jinan won two rounds of their tennis match while Sera won three, rather he let her win against him.

After their match the duo then went two laps of swimming in the temperature controlled swimming pool to reminisce the good old days of their childhood. When Sera, Jinan and Su Yin used to have a blast together at beaches, pools and sea side on their yacht.

Sera and Lu Jinan were exhausted beyond words and needed a quick and refreshing shower at the bathhouse in the gym.

"Brother, I'll meet you downstairs after some thirty-forty minutes.. We'll grab something to eat later!", Sera mumbled wiping wet her hair with towel.

She was wearing a royal blue swimsuit that looked stunning on her voluminous body which was dripping wet from the pool water.

Lu Jinan climbed out of the pool too, flaunting his chiseled abs and toned body. He was oozing sexiness with his unparted, messy wet hair clung to his forehead. He brushed his hair with his fingers and effortlessly slipped into a blue silk bathrobe.

"Uh-huh.. I'll text you. Don't lose your phone like last time. Although you have a couple of them in your room it's not a good habit to lose your things frequently..", he rubbed her head affectionately, his reminder slowly turned into nagging which annoyed her.

"Don't get so naggy! Brother Lu..", she pushed his hand off from her head, a cute pout on her little mouth.

"Heh! I'll see you..", he chuckled amused by her little reactions and strolled outside of the pool area.

A refreshed Sera was walking out of the closed private bathhouse of the gym after her shower. She was humming a tune with a smile playing on her lips. Her skin dewy, a soft flush on her plump cheeks and eyes clear and bright.

Suddenly a large hand grabbed her catching her by surprise. She wasn't able to react nor shriek. Everything happened to fast.

Consequently she was slammed inside another room with her front pinned on the wall forcefully. Her heart pounding against her chest, she gulped heavily when hot breathe landed on her delicate shoulders.
