The morning classes are over.

Since that morning’s note, Lida had been quietly attending her classes. During break time, she chatted happily with the girls, but refused all invitations from the boys. I only exchanged lines with the girls.

When lunchtime came, I looked towards my rear.

“…”

She was looking at me as if to say, “Hurry up and invite me.” So, you want me to invite you out that badly?

“Lida.”

“Yeah, I’m coming!”

“I just said your name.”

“…”

I made fun of her a bit and Lida looked at me like I was a corpse.

“All right, all right. Do you want the cafeteria? Or the roof?”

“Follow me, then.”

Follow you?

I walked out of the classroom and into the hallway. For some reason, we walked in a direction other than the cafeteria. So it’s the rooftop. I see, the two of us are going to enjoy our lunch together.

“Huh……”

I was surprised to see the place we arrived at and wondered why we were in this place. It’s not the kind of place you want to visit for lunch in the first place.

It was the Student Council Room.

“Excuse me.”

Lida knocked and there was an immediate response. She opened the door and walked in. There was a long table neatly set up, and two people were sitting on chairs.

One was the head of the public discipline committee, Azusa Saotome.

The other was the student council president.

“Welcome. As you may know, I’m Sayashi Hiyasada. Nice to meet you.”

“Ah, …… student council president.”

I’ve only talked to her once.

I’ll never forget that. …… No, I don’t want to talk about the past.

“Lida, why the student council room?”

“We’ll eat lunch here. I’ve become friends with Azusa-chan and she told me to have lunch here.”

Azusa-chan!?

When did you become such close friends?

Well, it’s summer now and it’s extremely hot outside.

I’d rather eat in the air-conditioned student council room than go all the way to the rooftop and break a sweat. Is this okay with them?

As I stood there in a daze, Hiyasada-senpai, the student council president, came towards me, her black hair waving. She spoke to me in a calm tone, like a lullaby.

“Kamishiro-kun, lunch is ready, but there’s one for you too.”

“Oh, you have one for me too? Is that okay?”

“Yes. Today is Lydia-san’s welcoming party.”

Why would the student council go that far to help us? What the hell did Lida do….?
