As Thomas finished his story, the place became quiet for a few moments. The silence was broken by the red-haired female sorceress Rebecca.

“…… Randy …… the two of them, please help them …… I still ……”

Louise was looking at Rebecca with a pained expression on her face, as if she was about to break down in tears. The survival of the two who hadn’t returned from the fort didn’t seem promising, assuming they were facing a dark priest. Mia looked down and hugged her staff, her hands folded in prayer. Thomas was nodding in silence.

“Louise-san. How will you deal with this now?”

Souya asked Louise, the only one with a calm expression. She was silent and lost in thought for a short period of about ten seconds.

“…… I’ll send out a Re-request from the Adventurer’s Guild. We need to confirm the safety of the three kidnapped villagers and exterminate the remaining goblins. This will be a slide show of the failed request by the Windbreakers, though. In addition to that, we need to take down the Dark Priest, and confirm the safety of the guild members, Randy-kun and Bud-san.”

Louise finished her explanation of the request, stopped for a second, and began to explain the reward.

“Two gold coins for each goblin. 12 gold coins for confirming the safety of the villagers. If they survive, you get an extra 50 gold coins. This is the request of the Windbreakers. Capturing and killing a commander who appears to be the Dark Priest is worth 250 gold coins. 12 gold coins for confirming the safety of Randy-kun and Bud-san. If they survive, 20 gold coins will be added.”

The Adventurer’s Guild has put a bounty of 250 gold coins on the Dark Priest, who seems to be leading the goblins. The adventurer’s guild must not have been able to afford the expense, but she must have decided that they couldn’t abandon the threat that lurks near Ilstadt.

“…… If you plan to form a subjugation force to take down the Dark Priest, please take me with you …… I’m sure you’ll need someone to guide you through the fort.”

Thomas, the hunter, nodded and raised his hand. If he could move, due to the handover of the request, it would naturally be better to have him come as a guide.

“Rebecca, what about you? …… If it’s hard for you, it’s better to wait and take it easy. You were against the request from the beginning, after all.”

“…… I’m coming with you …… I can’t wait to see Randy.”

Rebecca stood up and grabbed her magician’s staff, muttering stoutly, but her body was shaking a little. It seems like she’s pushing herself pretty hard. I was worried that it would slow them down, but as a member of the Windbreakers, she has the right to participate. Souya was curious about how good her magic skills were.

“I’m a newcomer with a blank-class, but if you trust my skills, please add me to the subjugation force. I feel a little responsible for agitating Randy-kun. And even if it’s a split, that amount of reward is attractive.”

Souya raised his hand. In my mind, I thought that the survival of the two Windbreakers, the hero Randy and the monk Bud, who had disappeared from the fort, might be difficult, but if they were safe, I wanted to rescue the young man who had a bright future.

“Souya-san, I’m sure you said you defeated a direwolf …… It would be very encouraging if you could join us …… I’m really sorry.”

Thomas bowed his head to Souya. He seemed to be cleaning up Randy’s mess, which gave me the impression that he was simple but sincere.

“I’m coming too …… I’m sure Randy-san and Bud-san are in need of medical attention.”

Mia chose her words carefully and raised her hand after Souya. She seemed to believe that Randy and Bud were safe and sound.

In addition to the two, the Windbreakers’ hunter Thomas and the magician Rebecca have come forward to join the subjugation force. There were four of them in total.

“It’s reassuring that Souya-san will be joining them. But this request will be a case for silver-class and above …… I want you to find one adventurer of silver-class or above to be the leader of this group.”

Randy had disappeared from the fort, and the Windbreakers had lost their Silver-class.

“Oh, and now that you mention it, there’s no Silver-class in this group. I wonder if there is anyone at the adventurer’s tavern next door …… I’ll see if I can find SIlver-class who’ll accept it.”

When Souya gave the order, Thomas, who was leaning against the wall, slowly stood up. Mia and Rebecca were also getting ready to leave.

“I’m sorry, Souya-san …… Please take care of those of the Windbreakers.”

Louise bowed her head to Souya in a pained manner. She seemed to be concerned that she had brought about this result by mediating the request. It may be that the Windbreakers are the most promising newcomers in the Ilstadt branch.

“Please leave it to me, Louise-san. And don’t worry about it. It is not possible for a human being to always choose the best solution with the eyes of God.”
