Volume 12 Chapter 61 : Reinforcements

Although Yalide was reminiscing about a past memory and was deeply saddened by that, it did not mean that she could not detect the sneak attack of Gale behind her.

Crouching, she avoided the stabbing of wind blades. She then swept her legs backwards.

"Oh?" Yalide made a slightly surprised voice, while looking up at Gale in her sight.

Gale did not have a lower body, so Yalide's attack was in vain. However, the wind blade in hand was still moving towards Yalide's head.

"Biu~" Dark light flashed. In a second, Yalide reappeared ten meters away.

"That's really" Just as she was opening her mouth to say something, a mass of black fire rushed over from behind her. Yalide reached sideways and flipped over, just to see that there was a hole burning with flames where she stood earlier, with a fiery long spear nailed to it.

After taking a look at the place where the spear was thrown, there stood a creature resembling a centaur (human upper body, horse lower body) Death Demon.

The fiery spear disintegrated into flames and flowed towards the hands of Death Demon, which then assembled itself into a spear again.

The steel-armored dark insect, Gale, and Death Demon all stared at Yalide.

"Three against one, huh?" Yalide smiled.

The steel-armored dark insect swept its legs and was the first to charge at Yalide. It really despised Yalide with a burning passion. The spikes it used for attack and defense were now broken, bent and some were even embedded in its own insect flesh. Currently, it could not wait to send Yalide flying, so it would never have to see her smiling face again.

Yalide raised her right hand and swung it at the steel-armored dark insect. The hand of dark energy hit the steel-armored black insect heavily on the head. This time, the steel-armored dark insect was not knocked away into the air. Instead, it struggled and engaged in a fierce battle with the dark energy hand.

Whoosh~ A gust of wind blew as Gale suddenly pounced towards Yalide, creating a whirlwind that surrounded her.

The whirlwind emitted the whistling sound of sharp blades, and on could imagine the consequences if a person were thrown into it.

Within the whirlwind, a burst of black light appeared and Yalide managed to escape. However, before she could regain her footing, the fiery spear was precisely thrown towards her. Yalide caught the spear, while the steel-armored dark insect struck again. In order to prevent the spirit soldiers behind her from getting hurt, Yalide conjured two dark energy hands to block the attacks from the two demons.

"Ke" Yalide was slightly struggling. At that moment, her face, hands and clothes were covered in some small wounds.

Gale did not give her any chance for breathing room and launched another attack.L1tLagoon witnessed the first publication of this chapter on Ñøv€l--B1n.

Yalide violently flipped over the steel-armored dark insect and knocked away the spear, before quickly leaping away to dodge Gales attack.

When she landed on the ground again, a troubled expression immediately appeared on her face, "It seems like I'm in trouble."

Numerous hands emerged from her shadow beneath her feet, resembling ghostly hands from the abyss as they entangled her thighs, rendering her immobile.

Glancing at Shadowar standing on the opposite bank of the river, Yalide fully understood what was going on. Looking back at those in front of her, the steel-armored dark insect that was struggling in the air earlier had flipped its body upright, Death Demon was ready with its spear, while Gale even let out an unpleasant laughter, Youve been bound by Shadowar. Unless you have no shadow, don't think of escaping. Even if you use your power of space, thats a no-go."

"Yeah, yeah. I'm in big trouble indeed." Yalide nodded, "In that split second just now, I felt the same way."

"Oh? How about this?" Yalide let go of Valarie, and said to Bellina, "I'll touch your face, but I won't touch my dear Valarie. What do you think?"

"Um" Bellina looked at Valarie and seemed to have made a difficult decision, "As long as Little Valarie isnt disturbed, I can make that sacrifice."

"Great." Yalide pinched Bellina's cheeks and pulled it long.

"Wow. Its so elastic!"

"Of course." Bellina replied with a confident smile, "Little Valarie, you can come too" When Bellina looked back at Valarie again, Valarie had already disappeared. She looked around and noticed Valarie stepping on the stone bridge, heading towards the demon clan.

"You guys. Have fun." Valarie said as flames ignited in her hands, and the red rock armlet that she wore gleamed in the raging flames.

"Let's not talk about that Dragon God. These two little girls are dragons, and theyre humanoid ones. Ancient dragons, perhaps? It's too strange. We didn't trespass into their territory and dragons usually dont involve themselves in the conflicts between other races." Shadowar was a little confused while looking at Valaries approach.

"Whether she's a dragon or not doesnt matter! After all, theyre just young dragons. It's not bad to kill dragons once in a while, right? In the meantime, lets get rid of that Dragon God as well!" Gale chuckled.

"Two little dragons and a person who might or might not be the Dragon God. If we join forces, we can completely take them down." Some strands of Raquel's hair flickered with a dark golden lightning.

"Just so you know, Ill only be dealing with that Dragon God' and the little fire dragon. I wont be responsible for the one with water." Death demon did not like water.

"Squeak eek squeak." The steel-armored demonic insect also expressed its opinion, although it remained uncertain whether Gale and the others could hear it.

"Alright. I thought there wouldnt be any powerful opponents to stretch our muscles with when we arrived here, but now that we have them, let's have some fun with them." Shadowar turned his head, pressed his ears, fell silent for a moment, and then said, "Our reinforcements seem to have arrived, theyre Pine and the others. They have completed the spirit transport at the place they were sent to and they came over immediately when they heard the commotion."

"Don't let them come here. Tell them to go to the city instead. By the time we finish cleaning them up, the battle should be over. I can't wait for the Demon Kings to be resurrected!" Gale said, charging towards Valarie first.

Gale's speed was incredibly fast, and Valarie could not keep up with its movements, so when she felt a gust of wind approaching, the wind blade in Gale's hand was already in front of her.

"Nope, you can't bully children." The wind blade that was capable of cutting through rocks was suddenly clamped by the appearing Yalides two fingers.

Gale quickly retreated. Being the only one there, it was not entirely confident in dealing with Yalide. It believed that at least two noble demons were needed to handle her.

"How dare you attack Little Valarie! You don't want to stay alive for long!" Bellina glared with eyes of fury. With a large river behind her, that condition was very advantageous for her.

A wave splashed onto the shore, and the water droplets quickly froze, turning into ice spikes, "Repent yourself!" Bellina exclaimed as she snapped her fingers, directing all the ice spikes towards Gale.

Gale swiftly floated out of the attack range, and the ice spikes directly struck the demon behind it. The struck demon quickly froze.

"Dragons are so scary! But what's the use of it if you can't hit the target?" Gale taunted, while the other four noble demons also took action.

"Leave the fast one to me. You guys take care of the rest. Huh?" Yalide suddenly looked towards the town in the distance, furrowing her brow, "Theres trouble."

As soon as she finished speaking, several soldiers with broken armor appeared from the south. They stumbled as they ran to Hawke, "General Hawke! The south has been breached! A group of terrifying creatures suddenly appeared! They are now heading towards the city along with the lowly demons!"

"What!?" Hawke widened his eyes, surveying the current number of demons and demonic soldiers. Although there were not as many spirit soldiers, it was only a matter of time before they could defeat them. However, the lowly demons were about to invade the city as well?
