Chapter 280: Azmond… Am I Being Annoying?

.....

Before meeting Azmond, Calista didn't believe there was much to look forward to as she woke up from day to day.

It was always the same routine: scrounging, getting beat, scrounging some more, getting beat some more.

Now, every day that she spent with the kind-hearted man who had saved her, that once lifeless lifestyle had transformed into days full of colorinto days full of something normal.

In the end, all she ever wanted was to live a normal lifeto live a life like she'd always dreamed of...

...

A few weeks passed by as Calista, Azmond, Boundless, and Emu explored every inch of the Anglerfant before making their way down to the city of Astralopolis.

"Azmond, look at this They have shop windows with food inside them."

An amazed voice entered Azmond's ears as a young, pretty girl around 13 years old frolicked through the streets.

Her face exhibited nothing but happiness, as she seemed fascinated by just about everything she saw.

However, such a thing really didn't make sense to him, considering that her background was quite 'special'.

And it was such 'specialness' that led to him guessing that she should've witnessed far greater things than what the second step of the Luminous Grounds had to offer.

But after giving it a bit of thought, he just assumed that she had been extremely isolated and sheltered most of her life.

Furthermore, adding to that theory, there were a few things that Calista disclosed as they became closer to each other.

One of those things was that she had been living in a large castle with an interior so massive that even after 12 years of living there, she had never made it from one side to the other.

According to her, that had been the only place she had ever seen in her entire life before she was 'abandoned'.

"Really!?" Calista exclaimed with shining eyes.

"Of course! After all, your big brother here is quite loaded!"

His response was instantaneous as he shook around a large bag of gold coins.

*Jingle Jingle!*

Azmond had truly amassed enough wealth over the last few months that he could confidently say that he had the capital to be among the top class in the Unity Form Synthesis Realm!

And his wealth never stopped growing, as he had been actively adding more and more monsterkin to his 'Non-Main Party Member' list.

Why would his 'Non-Main Party Member' list affect his affluency, you may ask?

Well, it used to be merely experience points that he gained from the hunting and killing conducted by his party members.

But after reaching the Middle Quantum Golden Core Formation Realm, Boundless informed Azmond that he had enough comprehension of the Quantum Law to gain gold on top of experience points from the work done by his 'Party Members'.

Such a thing naturally came as a pleasant surprise for him, as it meant he would be able to spend his money however he so chose without ever needing to worry about his total wealth going down into the negatives!

Of course, there were a plethora of other things that he had gained after breaking through to the Middle Quantum Golden Core Formation Realm; however, that topic was for another time.

Right now, all Azmond was focused on was the mysterious girl who popped up in his lifea girl that, believe it or not, was a little bit older than him!

Nevertheless, it wasn't like he really paid attention to his age.

After all, he was a complete anomaly...

Thud! Thud! Thud!

Loud footsteps reverberated throughout the streets of Astralopolis as a tall, silver foxkin walked along the paved roads with an 'invisible' woman who had long brown hair and effervescently brown eyes on one side.

While on the other side of him, there was a young girl around 13 years old with long white hair and misty gray eyes.
