....
Azmond knew of Boundless's frivolous thoughts, which was why he attempted to steer her away from the topic. But it looked like such attempts were futile in the face of her curiosity.
So with reluctance, he asked, "Yes?"
|What did you mean by 'taking care of a pest'!? Were you talking about that big, shiny sky puppy from earlier!? The pretty one!?| Boundless asked with stars in her eyes.
She obviously wanted to know more about what he had done.
After all, there were still tens of millions of people raving outside about how there was a distant silhouette that appeared in the sky before it increased in size and sliced outwards with a foreign weapon!
All the monsterkin referred to this 'silhouette' as an unknown angel that came down from the heavens to save them all!
However, not a single one had caught a glimpse of the face of the anonymous angel, so they were still trying to come up with a name to refer to the being that saved the city of Avendale.
At least, that was the case until someone who came from the lower floors recognized the back of the savior, and that was when that person informed everyone else of the name that they called the angel who took care of all the rampaging monster slaves on the other Floors.
An angel who they called...
The Grim Reaper.
No one knows who started calling him by such a name, but it didn't take long before rumors spread throughout the First through Fourteenth Floors, and now the Fifteenth Floor as well.
The name he acquired was dubbed as such due to the way he dispatched of the monster slaves and titans who escaped the Nineteenth Stepall he needed was a single slash of his blade, and behemoths in the Half-Step Tribulation Transcendence Realm would go down without resistance!
These 'rumors' eventually made their way to some of the top brass of the Nineteenth Floor; however, such High-Rank Monster Kings seemed to completely ignore such information.
They even closed off most outlets for such a spread of rumors in what appeared to be an attempt to cover up somethingSomething big
Although none of the inhabitants of the Luminous Grounds below the Nineteenth Floor knew anything of what lay behind the curtains, Azmond knew something monumental was about to happen within the Great Wildlands Forest.
He just didn't know what that 'something' was.
But he figured he would find out exactly what it was as soon as he made it to the very top of the Luminous Grounds.
"You asked me what I meant by 'taking out the pest?" Azmond asked Boundless.
|Mhmm! Did you kill the shiny puppy!?|
"Yes, I did."
"..."
He was always baffled by the naivety of his bundle of joy, but he wouldn't deny that it was one of the things he loved most about her.
...
"Fish" Calista mumbled.
They were but a few feet away from the entrance to the Japanese-style restaurant, as Calista practically started drooling when she smelled the tantalizing smells invading her nose.
"You hungry?" Azmond asked, his gaze looking at the Loli walking along with him.
Calista locked eyes with Azmond before she murmured, "Fish is good."
Azmond flashed a radiant smile in her direction before he said, "Then let's head on in."
Calista was a little stunned at such a dazzling sight, but it didn't take long before she was once again tempted by the smells coming out of the Japanese-style restaurant.
*Tap Tap*
Azmond, Boundless, Emu, and Calista walked into the restaurant before they enjoyed their time in a moment of relaxation.
However, all things relaxing were often followed by destruction.

In a dimly lit location, on the twentieth Step of the Luminous Grounds, thousands of shadowy figures were gathered around a large, slick black table.
Every single figure sat atop varying-sized chairs, and by the auras being emitted from them, it looked like the weaker ones were given smaller chairs, whereas the stronger ones were given larger chairs.
There was only silence in the dark spaceat least that was until one of the shadowy figures on a larger chair started to speak.
His voice came out in a crackly way as he announced, "The intruder has entered the Eighteenth floor."
And his voice was the prelude to a plethora of various-sounding voices echoing out:
"He has already made it up!?" One of them exclaimed.
Another one followed up by shouting, "How can this be!? We sent out over a dozen Tribulation Transcendence Realm monster slaves in an attempt to impede his movements!"
